Clarissa stared at him in shock and then looked down in her hands with fear. "Wha...what's going on? Why--?" She couldn't form any coherent sentences. She was trembling. Suddenly that feeling of euphoria disappeared - maybe it wasn't such a good thing. She should have gone to the hospital or something. For that matter, why didn't she call the police over the arm in the park?

That! That arm! From the park. The grotesque image popped into her head. Then...then maybe that really was from me? She didn't want to believe it. But so many pieces of the puzzle were coming together. Did I...really do that? Could I have...eat...eaten....? She collapsed on the ground and held her head. What seemed like such a treasure now seemed more like a curse. A terrible curse.

(My apologies guys and girls, I was unable to attend our posting in the RP going on here due to the fact that i was asleep most of the day. I am now at work, and will resume the regularly scheduled programming smile )

As all this happened, he realized he hadn't said a single word. It was as if he knew that their was nothing to say, other than to let the situation take it's natural course. As well it did.

At the end of everything, the sudden appearance of what looked like composite spikes appearing all over him, to the sudden shredding of flesh on the girls arms before him. He watched as she dropped to the ground and grabbed at her head. The mere sight of this made him uneasy. He'd hoped that he did nothing to cause this. That's when he decided to look around the area, spotting the two half eaten bodies back in the alleyway.

"Oh s**t!" he shouted as he stumbled back, falling on his butt next to the girl.

"What the ******** is going on?!" he shouted, feeling the sudden warmth overtake his body as his own heart pounded like the base drum of some random heavy metal band's drummer set. Jesse glanced over to the girl on the ground next to him and promptly scrambled to his feet. He reached down and touched her shoulder and said to her... "We need to get the hell outta here, now!"

They ran for the library, almost flying as they went at speeds over 15mph.

They were only a block away when a police cruiser, in the shadow of an alley, played its spotlight on them. It flashed its lights and pulled out of the alley.

Stopping was up to the two.

This was something he'd never had to deal with before. In his former life, he was upstanding, never got into any trouble, and almost knew most of the people by first name in his neighborhood. But, seeing as this was the other side of town, and things happened in a more frequent manner here, he knew that cops would always be on their guard, especially when they see two people running.

"Leave it to me..." he said in a hesitant voice, unsure himself what would happen. But the one thing he was sure of, was that stopping was better than continuing to run, especially if they did nothing wrong.

He held her hand gently in his own, wanting to give her at least some glimmer of comfort as the two of them slowed down to a stop in front of a floral shop. He looked at the window and saw that they had a special on anniversary boquets. At that moment, his mind ran like a freight train with no plans on stopping anytime soon. I've got it... he thought to himself as he looked down at her, quickly giving her a smile that could only be described as "Loving".

Saieve lunged at a chain-link fence and pulled himself over it. He was now in an alleyway and running.
He climbed onto a nearby dumpster and used it to jump to the opposite wall. He caught the wall and pushed off towards and repeated on that wall. He grabbed onto the ledge of the building and pulled himself up.

He ran along the roof of the building and jumped to the next, a good ways down. He rolled as he landed to maintain momentum and continued on.
He jumped from this building to a fire escape and began to climb up to the next rooftop.

He was headed for the park, normally a thirty minute, or so, walk, he would be there in a matter of minutes.

Clarissa brought her arms up to protect herself. "L-Leave us alone!" The cop's arms were shaky, and she panicked even more. "Please, j-just leave us alone!" Get rid of him. She just wanted the man gone. There's an easy way to get rid of him. Quickly. She flexed her new claws. Kill him. She was fighting the urge to attack him. She knew she shouldn't attack. Killing is wrong. Killing is wrong. I don't want to hurt anyone. She hoped that the police officer would just let them leave - she wouldn't be able to hold herself back for much longer.

When Saieve was halfway across a roof, running all out, he suddenly for very dizzy. He skidded to a halt, mere inches from toppling off the edge.

The cop was advancing slowly, gun pointed at Clarissa.

Jesse kept his eyes on the cop as he advanced into what would be known throughout history as the most grusome public attack to happen with so many witnesses. The closer he got, the more Jesse's spikes quivered. He slowly moved himself between the cop and Clarissa, staking his claim right there, that this would be the end of it all, if the cop messed up just enough.

He decided that it would only be fair, to give warning.

"Please... J-just let us go. We don't mean anyone any harm..." Jesse said in an uneartly sounding voice that even startled him a bit. But he didn't let that show. Deciding that he'd given fair warning, he left the rest up to the cop and his gun.
