Jerome was completely surprised when he saw the much hated demon walk through the willow's fronds. He felt his fur stand on end a bit, but when the creature explained, Jerome didn't question, nor said much of anything. Instead he stood and took off running towards the house where supposedly something was wrong with Koyuki. What had she done in the 2 days he was asleep? He was curious, but he was soon to find his answer as he burst through the doors of the house, and locating Koyuki, making sure to shove Corosina and Drake out of his way

Briareos has been the first to pick up the sounds of someone approaching, her metallic ears perking as he could hear the door swing open and gently pulled the doctor away from the door. "Watch out, sir..." Moments later the sounds of a very angry penguin filled the hall as the door flung open and even Corosina wasn't spared as she was shoved out of her spot so Jerome could be at Koyuki's side.
"Hey!" Corosina growled, but was silenced by a shake of Briareos' head, likewise when Drake tried to come in to 'beat up' Jerome, the bioroid snatched the bird by his beak and dragged him back out of the room. "I think we're relieved for now. Corosina, lets go. If you need anything, Koyuki..." Briareos waved a hand and shut the door behind him, relieved to be out of there for the time being.
"Jerome...you're here..." Koyuki smiled up to the spartan, reaching out her paw to touch his arm as she winced in pain although mostly the sharpness had been dulled. She looked worse for wear, exhausted and flushed, her eyes sore as it clearly showed in their dull hue.
"Well, Miss Koyuki...there isn't much I can do for you now. Its really up to nature to decide. You're going to need to take it easy; but I do suggest that if you feel better in a few hours to go for a slow walk. I will be back in the morning but if anything changes you call me, okay?" The Doctor, an older, grey fox smiled over to Jerome as he held out a paw. "You must be her mate, I can presume?"

Jerome looked Koyuki over, very confused as to why she was in a pained state. He was too distracted to here his AI gasp, but when the doctor spoke, he was all ears
"Yes sir..What's wrong with her?" he asked as he heard his AI curse below her breath

"Thank you...doctor." Koyuki nodded slowly as her gaze travelled up to Jerome's concerned and confused face. Already she could feel her heart clench in her chest as her cheeks lit up in a scarlet blaze...she hoped he wouldn't take it as bad as she did when her mother well...informed her.
The doctor looked between the two, a little confused but he'd seen it before...it wasn't planned to say the least as he gave a little sigh. It seemed that the female was too afraid or embarrassed to say anything, yet since he'd confirmed that they were mates he figured he would be safe to release the information to Jerome.
"Your mate has been through quite a bit today, but things have settled quite nicely. It seems that although we are still very early in the first trimester, the fact that she's carrying multiples and now that I see you and your unique genetic alterations that they're beginning to accelerate growth faster than what the body can usually handle. We were fearing miscarriage, but from what I can gather, I think they've attached nicely." Although the doctor had only encountered a few Spartans in his time, he'd only ever encountered one other pregnancy with the unique warriors.
Koyuki felt her face turn a cherry red as she pulled the blankets closer to her face nervously, her voice barely audible as she spoke. "....I'm pregnant." she stated, just in case Jerome hadn't caught on from how the doctor spoke.

Jerome frowned a bit under his helmet as he listened to the doctor speak. All of the words he was hearing where in relation into something, but his brain for some reason just couldn't put 2 and 2 together. That is until Koyuki said the 3 words that any person understands.
"Wh...wh" he was unable to finish a word he was so blown away by this bit of information. If Koyuki could have seen him, his face was twisted into pure and utter shock as his mind for the first time ever, went blank. He thought for a moment that he was loosing his vision, and before he even knew it his eyes rolled to the back of his head, and the heavy helmet came down with a loud clunk as he passed out from the very news.

Oh how it killed the vixen not to be able to see his face as he stood silent after receiving the news...it was worse than the feeling when she'd found out in the first place! Nervously watching him for any signs of life under the helmet, she'd strained her ears to pick up a faint stutter and her heart clenched as if she was afraid to hear what he'd say....
and then he fainted.
"Jerome!!!" Koyuki gasped, throwing herself out of the bed much to the dismay of the doctor who tried to grab her. Dropping to her mate she tried to yank off his helmet to no avail, but found with a twist it popped right off. Setting it to the side she placed her paws on his cheek and gently patted him to try and regain consciousness. "Jerome! Jerome! Wake up...." Distressed, she could already feel the sting return in her gut.
"Jerome speak to me! Are you alright!?"

The AI frantically tried to reboot the system of the suit as it as well unexpectedly crashed, but she let out a very angry yell when suddenly the helmet was removed, thus causing the restarting to fail. Jerome on the other hand tried to get his body to move, but he had trouble getting his muscles to respond. Eventually he strained to open his eye lids and look wearily around the room, forgetting momentarily what had happened or even who he was
He stared hard at the female that was holding him, until finally his mind caught up with him and the situation. He felt queasy all of the sudden and thought he was going to pass out again, before he realized what pregnancies meant. Babies. Suddenly his face flourished with excitement as he lept up and hugged Koyuki. It was a gently hug, but still one brimming with energy

"Jero-....AH!" Koyuki had paused a moment as she could have sworn she heard the voice of Elysia in the helmet but moments later Jerome had popped back to life and tossed himself right at her for a hug. A look of utter shock drew across her face as she was confused for more than a few moments; but when realization drew back into her senses she snaked her arms around to his back to return the embrace.
"Ah....Jerome.....Y-you're....not mad?" Although she could tell that anger was the last thing on his mind currently; the vixen could not shake the feeling that she'd messed up bad. If she would have listened, would have been more cautious....well, there was a lot of would have's...but they were all insignificant compared to now. Subconsciously she arched her back to keep her stomach away from his armor despite how gentle the embrace has been. Even though it was so soon, a very visible swelling had already begun since she wasn't in her kimono.

Jerome was shocked and he pulled away from the embrace to give his mate a very curious glance. "Mad? Why would I ever be mad?" He wondered, as he tried to figure out what lead her to that presumption.
Despite Elysia's very angry rantings about how you don't take a Spartan's helmet off and blah blah blah, Jerome was completely focused on Koyuki's answer

"...well..." Koyuki took a breath, her eyes veering to the side as she felt silly for even bringing it up. "I mean...I didn't listen...I was so caught up thinking I was right that well, I really put us in this situation. I found out yesterday; and since then its been killing me...other than that short conversation we haven't really....talked about it seriously...." Fearful, yes. Regretful....never.
They were so new to this love, that she'd been scared it could have been too overwhelming, as she felt her head slowly drop to look at the floor between them. "Its not uncommon that having kids can make or break a relationship...."

Jerome knew now wasn't a time to say "I told you so". Although he may have said it in his head, he'd figure he would save it for something else or some other time that would be far off into the future where they she would grow old and bitter at him. No. Jerome discarded that thought.
He shook his head at her final words. "I made a commitment, and I'm never backing down. You have my word, the word of a Spartan. " he said as sincerely as he could. He swore he heard Elysia snicker

Looking up into his face, Koyuki knew that she had nothing to be concerned about so long as he was here. The fox had become nothing short of her rock, in this recent bought of chaos he's shown countless times that he was going no where. This thought brought tears to the corners of her eyes, brought on mostly by the chemical imbalance taking place in her body from the pregnancy...but his sweet words would have done it reguardless
Carefully throwing her arms over his shoulders as she hugged him tightly, she nuzzled her face into his neck with a soft sigh; she trusted him, and would never doubt him or his word.
"Oh Jerome....I love you." She breathed as her 'fall' had ended, she knew exactly how she felt for the Spartan. "Now don't you faint on me..." Koyuki grinned, a gentle chuckle escaping her lips as she continued to hold on. "You realized we're having more than one, right?"

Jerome felt at ease, for at least a few moments. He rested his chin on her head and closed his eyes, while taking in what her could feel from the lovely vixen.
However, when she said there was more than one, his eyes popped open and his heart raced in fear. She was tiny, and he was big. No doubt one half Spartan was bad, but 2!?
The warrior had to remind himself to breath as when he heard the news, he had forgotten to do so. His look was again utter shock as he stared silently in the middle distance

Even from his armor, she could still feel her mate tense, as she tilted her head to try and see the look on his face to no avail once his chin rested against her hair. "Jerome..." she cautiously spoke, wondering if one could pass out sitting and not somehow fall over.
However forgotten amidst it all, the doctor politely cleared his voice deeming it the best time to 'interrupt'.
"Speaking of that...I'm no expert in every pregnancy, since such a thing has become a rarity around these parts; but from what i've seen before your body will be under immense stress from this. I wouldn't doubt if you'll be either subject to c-section well before these kits will reach full term. They seem to have taken their father's genes from how vigorously they're growing. You will need to have regular checkups so we can determine how much you can take as well as when we need to deliver; since it could be in a month or less before you even reach your third trimester." Grabbing his satchel he tossed his supplies over his shoulder and nodded to the pair. "Now I will take my leave, and will see you both tomorrow." With a kind smile and a wave he exited the room.
It was Koyuki's turn to feel the panic rise in her chest as she managed to stutter out "S.....so soon!?"

When the doctor started explaining further, The spartan held his breath, but when he got to, in his opinion, a long list of difficulties, Jerome tried to swallow and breath at the same time, resulting in a sudden coughing fit as he tried to refrain from drowning in his own saliva.
After a bit he managed to say the exact same thing as Koyuki did, but still tried to get over the initial fit, he coughed further.
Long after the doctor left he took a deep breath assuring that he was alright. However he thought his heart was going to explode. Especially after hearing this bit of information
