Axel screamed at them both, having enough. "Just stop! What the ******** is wrong with you two?! God ******** damnit!" Axel still had his arms wrapped around Roxas, but tighter. His fists were clenched in frustration and he was trying to keep himself from exploding again. "I just want to know what the ******** is going ******** on!"

Zexion stayed quiet other than trying to soothe Demyx back into a calmer state. He had seen Axel like this before. Once when he and Xaldin got into a huge fight and when he took Demyx's money to save him and they didn't know the real reason. Axel was really trying hard not to punch someone right then. He knew it. The first time, he and Xaldin got into a fist fight and beat the s**t out of each other. The second time, Axel took it all out on Zexion himself, wailing on him from time to time. This time, the only persons he could really hurt about this situation was Roxas, his boyfriend who he adored, and Demyx, his best friend who he had always been there for. He knew he didn't want to hurt either one of them. The only other option was to hurt himself, which it what he was doing by the look of it. One of his fists were wrapped around his own wrist, squeezing the life out of it. His hand was already turning a light shade of purple from no circulation. He was also biting his lip hard enough to make it bleed, and was probably tearing the inside of his mouth up with his teeth. Zexion looked up at Demyx sadly. "Demyx, what's going on?" he asked softly. "Just tell him or he's going to hurt himself more..."

The saddest part was, Axel probably didn't even realize what he was doing. He had so many anger issues, that when he took it out on himself, he didn't realize that he was hurting himself, only that he was hurting something and that's what mattered to him. When he hurt himself, he couldn't help it, and he couldn't stop until he calmed down.

Zexion felt his heart just drop out of his body. His lip trembled only a little, but he restrained it. He could feel Axel staring at him. A soft, empty, broken smile crossed his lips. He looked up at Demyx. "I'm glad you were able to move on, Dem," he said softly. "I'm proud of you. I'll go get everyone some water. It's been a stressful five minutes." He then walked out the room quietly. Axel glanced at everyone before instructing Marluxia to try and bandage up Roxas before he hurried out after Zexion. He found him leaned over the kitchen counter, hands gripping the edge of it. Axel moved to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Z--" "He was happy without me back in his life... I knew I shouldn't have even tried..," he whispered shakily, tears hitting the countertop like a downpour. "He was perfectly happy without our relationship fixed, and now his life's more complicated. Damn it... Damn it! No matter what...what I try to do...I always screw everything up for him... Damn it..." He slammed his fist down on the counter as a sob escaped his throat. "Zex..," Axel said quietly, sadly. He pulled him into his arms and rubbed a hand up and down his back. "You never think about yourself, do you? I know how much your heart's hurting right now knowing Demyx was happy with someone else, Xaldin of all people, but all you can think of is how hard it is for Demyx... You ruined your life just so he could be happy... You were willing to keep it that way so he could be happy without you... God, you don't know how much I ******** look up to you... You're really amazing, Zex. You deserve to be happy..." He sighed softly. "But--," Zexion started, but Axel finished. "But then you wouldn't be satisfied unless everyone around you was happier than you. I know. You're so selfless, and that's exactly why you always get hurt... Why can't it ever be a good life for the best people?"

Axel and Zexion walked back in the room a few minutes later, both with glasses of water in their hands. "We come bearing water," Axel announced, handing out the glasses. He sat down on Zexion's bed and sighed, sipping his water. He glanced over at Roxas and smiled weakly, patting the seat next to him invitingly.

Zexion walked over to Demyx and wiped his tears away with a frown. "What's wrong, Dems? Why are you crying? You're happy with Xaldin, right? If you're happy with him, don't worry about me, okay? Stay with him. I just want you happy, no matter the circumstances for me. Okay?" He smiled appreciatively up at Demyx. "Now, we need to figure out where everyone's gonna sleep tonight. Axel, Roxas, I guess you can have the be--" "No sir," Axel cut in, shaking his head. "It's your place; you get the bed. Me and Rox'll get the couch. Dem, you sleep in here with Zexion. There. It's done. No arguing," he said with finality, looking around at everyone, daring them to go against him. Zexion just sighed and rolled his eyes at his best friend, dropping the subject. "Roxas, was it? Can you get ahold of your brother in any way?" Zexion asked him in a gentle voice. "We need to tell him what's going on. Everything. If he's going to let you stay there, then he deserves to know."

"Wait, no, Dem! I don't--" He was cut off by a hand on his shoulder. He turned his head to see Axel shaking his head at him. "Don't, Zex. He'll talk when he wants to, okay? Just come sit down." Zexion hung his head, tears flooding his vision. He walked over to Axel and slumped down beside him in defeat. He felt Axel's arms wrap around him in comfort. "Look, you can both get your minds straight tonight, and we can talk it out tomorrow, okay? Rox might be able to get Demyx to talk to Xaldin and explain everything. If anyone deserves to know it's Xaldin. He's held us all together, and he needs to know what's really going on." Zexion nodded. "Let's go to sleep, okay? We'll sleep it off." He looked up at Marluxia. "Thanks for coming over, Marly. I'll probably see you soon so you can check up on us, hm?" He smiled up at him and then began stripping off his clothes, getting down to his boxers. Zexion did the same, except he kept his long-sleeved shirt on. Axel looked at him funnily, but ignored it and laid down, allowing Zexion to snuggle up to him. He pulled the blankets over them and wrapped his arms around Zexion's waist, closing his eyes.

The next morning, Axel yawned and sat up, rubbing his eyes. He slowly worked Zexion off of him before getting up and walking into the kitchen. He passed the couch and smiled at the adorable scene. "How sweet," he purred, running his fingers through Roxas' golden locks before moving on to the kitchen to make himself some breakfast. He started cooking bacon...in nothing but boxers. Oh, yes. Axel was a genius. Especially when he decided to stay in only boxers even after the grease popped him in the chest.

Axel smiled back at him. "Good. Thanks, Rox. And no, I'm quite comfortable without a shirt, thanks." He grinned crookedly back at him before walking over with a plate of already-cooked bacon. It was perfect. "Bacon?" he purred in an offer. He waved it under Roxas' nose. "It's perfectly crisp~"

Axel growled in approval when Roxas kissed him. He then went back to cooking while talking. "I slept, mostly. Got up to piss a few times, but slept most of the time." He chuckled. "What about you? How'd you spend the night?" he asked casually before glancing over his shoulder with an evil look in his eyes. "Or, rather, how many times did you and Dem ********?" he questioned sharply, turning back to the bacon.
