ぷ He wasn't sure what to think. There were multiple sides to him, one that wanted to laugh in her face, one that would slap the previously mentioned side if he did that, and one that was completely bored. In truth, he was still half-asleep in actual awareness. This didn't mean that he was actually half-asleep, but his senses were dulled down from a lack of excitement. His crimson eye traveled back down to rest on Kona when she mentioned the canine. In a graceful and smooth movement, he reached out with his hand a bit limp to show the wolf he meant no harm and to not provoke the beast from any sudden movement. Still sitting on the large cushion, all he had to really do was stretch out a bit to let the wolf smell his hand. Yet he was keen to keep his hand just far enough away so that Kona couldn't squeeze further in to try and bite him. Not all beasts were completely safe even if they were ever trustworthy...
After dealing with that business, he noted that Miss Adalia had been examining them. Or at least, he sensed that. Cyane was back sitting comfortably when she asked the question that they had not gotten to yet. When Azayel spoke up, he turned his head to glance over at the.. Nephil. Part fallen angel, part mortal. Ha, shouldn't they dislike each other then? But then again, that was a large stereotype. Which could swing both ways, true and not true. But he didn't care about Azayel's species' per say, just the person. "Hmm, that explains something.. yet nothing~" Cyane commented with a friendly smile.
"I myself am not from the none opposite spectrum of what Azayel is. Though I am from the living light of darkness and below more than just the sky," he told them with that tricky smile on his face. Oooo riddles, how he love them, no matter how they came out. After a few moments to let that sink in, he decided to speak up once again. "Of course in all simplicity, I am nothing more than a demon. No specific race," he told them with a tilt of his head. His two guards seemed to be getting a bit jumpy with all the talking he's been doing. And from just hearing his species again as well. Haha, they were imbeciles~ Guards could be entertaining only when you had a semi-alright relationship of mutual proportions. ぷ ╚══════════════════════════════════╝ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ...I'm no different from you. Adalia Carmen Kaumudi ~ Mistress ~ Shapeshifter In the moonlight I felt your heart Quiver like a bowstring's pulse In the moon's pure light, you looked at me Nobody knows your heart… Adalia was suprised at Azayel's race, but she was even more suprised at the smile he gave her. He seemed to be loosening up, and Kona sniffed each hand in turn before sitting contently at his mistress's side, his large muzzle resting above her hip. She laid her hand on his shoulder as she listened to the demon's riddle, finding him quite interesting. She had never met anyone like these two before, and she found them intriguing. "I myself am a shapeshifter." She stated simply, absent-mindedly tucked a strand of her black hair behind her ear, her gaze still slinding from one person to the other. She liked them both, and wanted to get out of the market as soon as possible - for herself and for her beast - but it seemed things wouldn't be quite that simple.
She noticed the guards shifting nervously around the cages of the two and scowled. If the men made the morons so nervous they should find another job. She turned suddenly commanding eyes on the guards and spoke in a cold voice. "I can take care of myself, thanks. I'd appreciate it if you left. How am I ever supposed to get to know someone when they have you dimwits breathing down their necks?" She asked, glaring at each in turn. They shifted even more nervously and grumbled to themselves. Adalia's temper started to rise. "Go. Now." She comanded, and the guards shuffled away, irritated and no doubt going to complain to their boss or some other powerful figure. At least they wouldn't be pestering her any longer. She turned now calm black eyes to the individuals in front of her again, a small smile coming to her lips.
"That's much better, don't you think? Now we may all talk freely." She said softly. She seemed to relax since the guards were gone and crouched down, her plain black dress rumpling on the ground. "So tell me about yourselves. Likes, dislikes, quirks of yours? You may ask me whatever you like as well." …When the sun is gone I see you Beautiful and haunting, but cold Like the blade of a knife, so sharp and so sweet Nobody knows your heart.

₳ᶽᶏʮέʅ Ḁɨȡᶒɲɳ Ɖịᵯᵼϯґἷ Azayel intentionally did not look over Cyane the way he did when he said what his race was. Thank god that Cyane thought and didn't think that their races should define who they were because if that were the case both of them would be enemies. Truth be told, from what Azayel had seen of him, he did honestly like him. He still had a smile plastered over his fair features because of his riddles and when he looked at Adalia, she found humor in it too.
Hmmm, a shapeshifter, but into what? he thought to himself as interest lit his eyes and made him lean in more towards the young woman. He smirked and couldn't help but let out a snicker as the nervous and annoying guards grumbled as she told them to leave. Haha pompous bastards got told off and had to listen to a younger female. That had to of hurt their pride.
His eyes widened as she crouched down onto the filthy floor and her little dress became rumpled and dirty. Why, this woman was more and more intriguing by the second. He stared at her smile for a minute, it was quite lovely the way her dark eyes became a but smaller but lit up when she did that, he couldn't help but smile when she did. He looked to Cyane too who had a mischievous smile which he copied as soon as she said he could ask questions. He still got to play the game he was with Cyane, just more people. So many possibilities to ask her, all swimming in his head just begging to become spoken.
" If it is not too rude, could you please answer first, to your own questions?" He was wanting to see how lenient and far this woman would trust to spare with them so he in turn could gauge his own answer. He smiled wider, oh yes, he loved this game.

NIKKI is good enough for you!

Nikki just stared at him when his sharp teeth were grinning at her and she resisted the urge to bare her own teeth as the urge arose in her. They were both predators and he was challenging her for her space with every movement towards her. She liked her space all to herself. "Who's taunting? I haven't been thrown in a very long time." Her voice grew colder with each word as she remembered her past masters, assholes who didn't think of her as a threat until it was too late. Sure, this male was powerful, but he was obviously underestimating her as well.
"Well I would rather be dead then be attractive to a master again, ********> She had started pacing her cage, her front bars were alright but it was the to sides she refused to touch silver bars to keep her from bashing against them and swinging the door open. She had done so many times much to the slavers dismay before. However, silver didn't smell good of feel good to her flesh in fact the hairs on her neck stood up when she got to close and she would move to pace to the other side.
"If you're going to buy me for some ritual you should know I'm not a virgin, princess, angel, or anything like that and more than willing to kill myself beforehand should you push me to do so." Her voice had lost it's false humor as she stared at him, eyes colder than ice contemplating whether he was a good means of escape or not.

ぷ He had to restrain himself from laughing hard out-loud when the shapeshifter told the guards to beat it. He was really starting to like this girl. Azayel and Adalia were quite amusing beings. He wondered if she could shift into anything, or if it was limited to something with a beating heart.. and even at that, if it was limited to any smaller groups. Interesting. A shapeshifter with her wolf and an additude. He liked that, if he didn't he would've probably ended up getting shocked by his collar for (trying) to do something bad. Well, at least now that the guards were gone, they could indeed talk more freely.
He kept a mischievous look on his face as she addressed them once again. Hmm, again with the likes, dislikes, quirks, etc. But it was nice to hear she was open to questions. Usually, a mistress or master would keep their lives to themselves. He looked over at Azayel when the other male spoke up. Ah, he liked how the Nephil's mind worked. Yet that didn't mean that he was wired the same way at all. He's had many centuries to change his additude and way of thinking. So he finally settled on something that was pretty close to him, yet still an opposite. "Hm. Well, I dislike ignorance and dim-wits. But I like sweets~ Oh.. I use to be a knight~" he commented just because he wanted to. A bit harsh, but the truth could be harsh. Someone had taken his eye to use for something and so he couldn't get that back until it is cut so much that it could not be used. Too bad the being that took his eye was probably still around and going strong.
Cyane's amused eye glanced between the other two. He understood why Azayel was not as trusting, but he already knew something. It didn't matter what a person knew about you when you are a slave, so there is no need to worry about letting tid-bits of information out. Even so, he never let anything major be said... Major in his mind anyways. ぷ ╚══════════════════════════════════╝ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ...I'm no different from you. I just express my insanity more clearly~!

Adalia Carmen Kaumudi ~ Mistress ~ Shapeshifter In the moonlight I felt your heart Quiver like a bowstring's pulse In the moon's pure light, you looked at me Nobody knows your heart… Adalia was glad they both were smiling, and both seemed pleased she had banished the gaurds. They seemed to be sizing her up in their own ways - she could practically see the wheels turning in their heads. When Azayel asked if she could answer her own questions first, she nodded. "I suppose that would be fair. I like stargazing, so naturally I enjoy being outside at night. I like animals, food, naps, cool weather - fall and winter are my favorite seasons, and...I should say my borther, but he can be awefully ******** annoying sometimes. I dislike people with supioriority complexes, men who think they are better than me because of their sex, and eggs." She stated, finding it humerous that she was more polite to these two than she was to more people.
She listened silently as Cyane offered his information, almost chuckling when he said he liked sweets. For one who looked so proper, it was almost cute. When he said he used to be a knight she began to wonder exactly how old the man was, unable to tell his age by his appearance. She gave up and figured she would ask if it bugged her enough. She liked the two men sofar, they were very entertaining. She turned to Azayel, wondering how he would differ from Cyane. She wondered what would happen if she bought them both, and what her brother's reaction would be. A smirk stretched across her face at the thought. His facial expression would be priceless. She zoned back in to study Cyane and Azayel, her hand absently scratching Kona's ruff. He was now laying beside her calmly, happy because his owner was happy. …When the sun is gone I see you Beautiful and haunting, but cold Like the blade of a knife, so sharp and so sweet Nobody knows your heart.

He turned and began walking when she closed the distance between himself and her, then turned his head back to her in time to see her face distort in pain for a moment. He looked down at her feet as she spoke, then back to her face and smiled before nodding. "Of course. Hunger is not something that goes away like a tide Gaiae, if you do not mind my calling you by name," he said politely. Drake wondered if she had been bought before or not, or if she was simply a new slave. If it was the second, then he could count himself lucky, but ir not, then he couldn't help but consider the chance she was playing dumb. When they were out of the slave market, Drake sniffed the air, then turned down an alley way. "Follow me. I can smell a food cart," he instructed, not wanting to waste time looking for a classy place to eat. Eating on the water would be enough, and she needed shoes if they were to go back to Drake's home. Plus, the day had been warm, so the stone walkway would more than likely be hot to her bare feet. Two birds with one stone, as it were. "Do you know what your foot size is?" he asked, wanting to start up a conversation as they walked. (OOC: Sorry for the late post. I got to playing a game with my brother and lost track of time.)

Narada (Nara) Holt Lowell ~ Master ~ Snake Demon Nara would have leaned his head back and closed his eyes in contentment if he wasn't driving. The mix of sun and wind on his skin was blissful, and he had the top to his convertable down. He was headed for the slave market; not a place he generally liked to hang around, but it was a nessesity when one wanted to buy a slave. Nara was starting to get bored in his home without company past his pet and the servents, who were intimidated by him slightly and tended to keep to themselves. A cute male slave sounded like the perfect solution to his problem, and therefore he was on his way to the market, his thin snake curled around his wrist under his blazer's sleeve. He tapped out a beat on his steering wheel as he pulled into the parking lot, expertly backing it into an empty space.
He got out of the vehicle and locked it before raising his wrist to eye-level, grinning at the small creature there. "Ready for this little buddy?" He asked it. The vine snake nodded its tiny head before flicking it's tiny tounge against his nose and retreating back into his sleeve. He smiled and entered the market, looking about for a slave he would be able to stand for extended periods of time. He saw several he would consider: a dark-haired man who smelled of blood, a young man with blue hair and eyes, a blonde (though he looked a little young), and a ginger with pointed ears. He considered each in turn before deciding he would just go along the line, and approached the first cage. Inside was the ginger, his hair gleaming in the afternoon sun. Nara smiled warmly at him, hoping to give a good impression. "Why hello there. My name is Nara, may I ask yours?" He asked, holding his hand through the bars to shake the other man's hand.

₳ᶽᶏʮέʅ Ḁɨȡᶒɲɳ Ɖịᵯᵼϯґἷ Azayel's eyes wandered from Cyane to the wolf lying happily beside his master. He himself was starting to become relaxed.
Yes, being a knight did seem like him, it was probably when he was younger, well younger by a couple hundred years at least. "You know, Cyane? I once heard a saying that the past is the mold you are made of, but only the present can determine how you fill it. And i believe you fit that saying perfectly." Azayel smiled, yes, he fit it magnificently. He didn't look to see Cyane's reaction though for he heard Adalia speak.
He laughed at Adalia's answer and wanted badly to meet her brother. " I like the winter also, it's beautiful when the moon is full and the ground is covered in snow." He smiled to himself thinking of how both of them would look with the light reflecting off of the snow onto their skin. He shook his head, causing his hair to splay out. " I like fruit, but that's about all i know." He looked sheepishly at Adalia. " I've had masters before you, but they never let me really do things i wanted." He racked his brain for something personal, something intimate to share with her, but all he could grasp was his heritage, what his mother did to him and what he never possessed.
"I never had a brother, well not that i know of. The only person in my world before i was sold into the slave trade was my mother, but she... gave me up." He didn't like displaying so much of himself out there, but figured he would take a leap of faith in this situation. He had a grimace on his face and looked Adalia in the eye with a pained expression.

ぷ This mistress's likes and dislikes were interesting. Everything seemed so calm around the three of them, it was almost like old friends meeting up to talk to each other.. Of course it was a bit more serious than that, but in his mind that wasn't the case. Yet his face became thoughtful after hearing Azayel. He fit that saying perfect? Hmm, well he had a pretty long past to fill. Or he's been filling it his whole time. Ah, winter was lovely. Plus there were no bugs then...
Of course poor Azayel seemed to not be able to say much more than he had already told Cyane. It was too bad, Cyane believed that Azayel would probably be an even more interesting person if he had been able to experience more things. Ah, of course the very last of he said made him look down. The only problem with his life span, was that the beginning had not been very good. It reminded him of what he had gone through a little bit even if it was not closely related. For some reason, he didn't feel like it was a good time for him to speak and kept his thoughtful face on. Three years after his own birth, there was a little girl in the family. Yes, he had a little sister.. Even though his memories were slightly blurry he remembered the basic outline of his own past. Was he as bold as Azayel? Probably not, but he was just 'mad' enough to do almost anything.
It seemed he had just broken the game of 'turns'. Well, more like he just lost probably, but it didn't matter to him. Remembering your past was not always a good thing. If he really wanted to remember most things clearly, he would summon his cane, but he had restrictions. And his past really wasn't that important to other people... right? So no need to worry about that. ぷ ╚══════════════════════════════════╝ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ...I'm no different from you. I just express my insanity more clearly~!

Adalia Carmen Kaumudi ~ Mistress ~ Shapeshifter In the moonlight I felt your heart Quiver like a bowstring's pulse In the moon's pure light, you looked at me Nobody knows your heart… Adalia herself pondered Azayel's comment, deciding that she agreed with the dark-haired man. When he said he loved the way the moon looked on the snow during winter and remembered her last christmas, sitting out with Kona on the grounds and enjoying the cool weather and night sky. Perhaps he would care to join them next time? Then she caught his comment "masters before you" and smiled, deciding right then that he was leaving with her. He would be free to do as he liked in her household, and she would introduce him to a ton of things. Now if Cyane wanted to come with them as well? The man in question was staying silent, listening to them calmly.
Then Azayel looked at her with pained eyes and told her about his mother giving him up. She met his gaze and spoke softly when she replied. "My mother died giving birth to me, so I can't share my mom with you. But I have a brother I'm more than willing to hand over." She said, smiling slightly. She liked the guy and wanted to cheer him up a bit. She then turned to Cyane, seeing a sad expression on his face. He seemed to be lost in his own memories. "You look lonely back there in your past. Come, talk with us more. Perhaps we will be able to shoo your bad memories away with good conversation. At my place of course. Will you two join me?" She asked, hoping they would both say yes. She very much enjoyed their company, and even Kona liked them. The wolf shifted at his mistress's words, getting ready to lift himself off the ground. …When the sun is gone I see you Beautiful and haunting, but cold Like the blade of a knife, so sharp and so sweet Nobody knows your heart.

She knew he was right but it was still amusing. She couldn't help it. Besides, she moved a finger to her lips with a smirk, he was adorable like that. Still, she grew excited at his words of a food cart nearby. She could smell the food and her gray eyes were looking around hopefully. "Don't get fancy on my account," she murmured before licking her lips restlessly then pausing at his question.
They had reached their destination so she sat down on a bench and looked at the bottom of her foot with some curiosity. "I'd a bit bigger than my hand," she told him with a playful smile before deciding to be serious and put her foot back down. "I don't know... a six?" Her eyes closed half way before standing and looking at the food cart again. She didn't say anything but her attention fell from him to the delicious food the vendor was selling.
