As far as the Otonin trio went, Dosu was my favorite character-wise but design-wise Kin was my favorite. But the reveal of the off-screen/panel deaths of Kin and Zaku was such a great "Orochimaru is a total d**k" moment that I don't mind their deaths.
As for Dosu... yeah, I wish he weren't dead but his death DID lead to Shikamaru vs. Temari, so...

Okay. I just read 301, and cripes, Sasuke's insane. Even Orochimaru said that Sasuke's more trouble than himself (Orochimaru). Shite. I do believe, Sasuke's gotten stronger. Very much so, if he can put Orochimaru in his place... and Sai too... with just his eyes. ninja

Very much so, if he can put Orochimaru in his place... and Sai too... with just his eyes. ninja Those eyes were very interesting. Instead of creating an illusion, like Itachi, he actually pulls thoughts out of your subconscious mind. Sai got pwned. I can't wait until the face off between Naruto and Sasuke. 3nodding

I know!!! It was all about that damned a*****e Sai!! I didn't wanna see him, I wanna see them find Sasuke!!! Ugh!! They got into teh place, so why'd they go find Sai, mission or not?! They were there..!!! They should've gone to find Sasuke.... sweatdrop

Really! Leave Sai to rot! *shakes fist* Find Sasuke! I wanna see him un-sillowetted! Grr... And... here comes Kabuto! Haha! I don't want to read another fight with him for now. Just... too much fighting lately with the same people. It's getting a bit monotonus.

They were there..!!! They should've gone to find Sasuke.... sweatdrop Remember they need to find their present team member first before they move onto the hard stuff. I mean if they went to find Sasuke, they'd run into some serious confrontation and may not be able to get Sai later.

Yes, I know... but who gives a damn about Sai?!.... If they can't get him later.. oh well.. I'd throw a party- for real. And sailorsirius is right, now they have to go through a whole big fight scene once Kabuto gets there... And he might be able to warn Sasuke and Orochimaru somehow too... And then bye bye Sasuke for like another 10 chapters or something... Damn Sai, he screwed everything up.

I, myself, like Sai. He's rather funny, and personally, I like him better than Naruto. Sure he's kinda cold and distant, but that gives him characters, and makes people wonder about his past. And unlike Naruto, he isn't always flapping his gums about being Hokage. We heard it once, we hear it every other time. Sai's rather amusing, you know, with his p***s jokes and all. Now that's a character that had a mysterious history. Like Sasuke, and Itachi. My two other fave. characters. Naruto's way down on my list, after the characters that have a good history and way of life. Naruto, the character, had gotten old and is a one trick pony. First it was his Kage Bushin, now it's the Rasengan. Even in that chapter, he wanted to use it.
I've only seen him progress in controlling the Kyuubi and some skills. Unlike Itachi and Sasuke who have moved up quite well. In comparison to Naruto. Even Sakura, Hinata, Kiba, and the rest, made some major advances, in where Naruto has pretty much stayed the same, atleast from what I've seen.
That's just my opinion. Nothing more. Hehe. Now that may not have any relevance to what this discussion was about, but like I said, I like Sai. He's been added to my roleplaying character list.

Okay true, Naruto is a 'one-trick pony', and the others have progressed and improved a lot more... And wanting to use Rasengan for everything, even when they were trying to infiltrate Orochimaru's hideout is pretty stupid. I guess I'm a bit interested in Sai's past.. but he's cold, uncaring, wears the weirdest girlish clothes, and I hate how he goes on about... well, yeah, about the stuff he talks about... all the time. It's disgusting. I just hate him... No offense. I mean, I guess he kinda is a good character, and could be developed well, and people just don't give him a chance- but hell, maybe I would if he wasn't such a perverted weirdo!... No offense..

I still like Sai. He's like Neji. People, you have to agree, in the beginning, Neji was a pompous arrogant b*****d, that thought he deserved everything he didn't have. Now look at him. He's a team player, knows when he's beat and believes in others. Sai is possibly a work in progress. Yup.
Again, just my opinion.

Just read 303.
And I might say:
Sai is an AWESOME character! If you've read it, you can see his past, his life, his mission. It was a sweet chapter, even if there was no fighting. I was right, he is a great character, even more. If something does happen later on, I still think Sai is a rather good character in Naruto I, personally, knew he was on a side mission and spying for Konoha. How you ask? Just a hunch.
I have nothing else to say.
