Eye of the - Sparrow
And that means I can - Turn into a sparrow, of course. I can also transform just my arms into my wings, but that hurts like hell, so I usually just complete the transformation. I can talk to other birds, and see farther than most, and I can do some pretty badass bird calls. Birds are comfortable around me, so you'll usually see them flitting about. Except for the predators - I can't tell you how many times I've been attacked by hawks on the street for no good reason.
My story - I was dropped off at the orphanage when I was six. I had been the product of a gang rape, and after a few years I guess my mom was just tired of looking at me anymore. And as soon as I was left here, they started testing on me, just like all the other "inmates". It was tougher for me than for most of the hybrids, because most of the other successes were tested on as babies or toddlers, early on when their bodies were more impressionable. My body had a hard time adapting. Sometimes I couldn't move for weeks, I was paralyzed with the pain. But I'm a survivor. I learned to live with my sparrow half - he's not a bad guy, if he is a little stupid at times. Growing up in the orphanage, I was usually bullied by the stronger kids, the big cats and wildlife animals. I mean, I couldn't defend myself against claws and teeth with only wings. I didn't even know how to fly yet, because in sparrow terms, I was still a hatchling. So I showed everyone by learning to fly in front of all of them. Jumping off the roof of the orphanage. For a blissful twenty minutes I was free, flying in the air and feeling wonderful, even if I was a freakish bird-boy. Then the tracking device kicked in. The lab guys install a sort of shock collar into all of the mutants with flight, so they don't run away. But I didn't even care when I was hauled back to the institute. Now, I knew how to fly. Things got better after that. The kids respected me more, you could say. Sometimes I think it's not that bad living in the orphanage. Then, of course, I remember seeing the failed experiments.
To describe me, I'd say - I'm kind of happy go lucky. I try to stay optimistic, although from other people's points of view my life is pretty much Hell. But hey, I get free food. Free lodging until I'm 18. Tons of roommates. And I can fly! That's a plus! Some people say I'm crazy for being so peppy, but I say I'm just tough. Although I avoid conflict, it's not because I'm a wimp, but a nice guy. I don't like to hurt others. The other hybrids call me stupid because of this, since fighting is kind of our way of life, but I'll always believe there's another way.

- Sports. No, I am not a dumb jock. I just like to move around.

- Junk food. Yum.
