Lily sat in the Great Hall her thoughts on James. He was such an idiot. Torturing students, messing up his hair to impress her, and just trying to look cool in front of her. "I hate him. He's an idiot.", she muttered.

Remus had been totally lost in his book for the entire duration of the sorting ceremony, and had not even caught a glance at the girl who had now joined the Rouges. He was just too busy reading a new boom he'd found about dragons to really pay much attention at all. And besides, he had been sort of lost in his own world lately. His mind on other things than the Roughes, like this year's subjects, what to do after school and of course the always present nagging in his mind about his curse.

He didn't even look up until he picked up one word, the word coin and his head snapped up as well, eyes immediately finding the Rouges and studying the new girl. Where had she come from? Was it possible that there were someone here that he'd never seen before? No that couldn't possibly be it. It had to be something else...but what could it be? A transfer? But they never had any of those did they? He continued to stare at her, his hand on the page of the book, having almost turned it, but stopped mid air. "The coin? Have they given her the coin already? And who is she? Does anyone know anything about her?" he asked completely oblivious to what had just happened during the sorting.

Then he realized he'd heard Sirius say the girl as attractive, and found himself thinking she wasn't half bad. He nudged Sirius and whispered. "Come on, that will not cause anything other than trouble, the girl is part of the Rouges now. She's out of reach" he said, knowing Sirius would probably take that statement as a challege and try to prove him wrong. Well the guy would just have to try. He half way turned back to his book, but kept his ears alert and ready for answers to his questions as well as keeping an eye on the new girl.

Sirius smirked. "Nothing's out of reach for Padfoot," he said smugly. "All I said was that she was attractive. I'm not going to marry her," he scoffed, but he kept his eyes fixed on the new girl. Girls could almost always sense him staring, and in most cases, that was to his advantage.

James was watching the Rogues suspiciously, and so conveniently missed the comment. "Yes, Remus, the coin already. I'm not sure where she came from, but it's a safe guess that by the time we get a chance to subtly interrogate her, those girls will have already prejudiced her against us." He replied quietly. He looked over the four tables of the four houses, seeing that all were listening to Dumbledore's speech. What? Snivellus is looking at the new girl? Odd.... What would he what with a Gyrffindor? he thought, absently scratching his neck.

[0cc|| Le-Wow, I had forgotten what it was like to Roleplay with people other than just us four. (Lazi, Ralio, LF and I) o___0 Good job though. And yes Lorella, that was a quite decent first post. You did, of course, read the other pages? (Aka, me butchering Remus?) Just checking. ]

((Well she yells at him. And she does hate him.))

[Ooc: I edited this so don't be alarmed.]
Nadia tried to ignor the Mauraders and focus on making Kailyn feel welcome. "So, Kailyn, what are you looking forward to this year at Hogwarts?" Her voice was calm, and sweet. Her green eyes twinkled with curiosity. She liked meeting new people, but feared they wouldn't like her. But she made the best of things and told herself I doesn't matter. She has friends, Gwin and Leah. Nothing would change that.

She pulled her DADA book out of her bag. Her eyes were fixed on James though and the fact that he looked ready to attack someone. "I wonder what he's doing." She walked over to him trying to act nice, but there was a bit of sterness in her voice. "Hello, who are you staring at?"
PostPosted: Tue Feb 28, 2006 2:55 pm

[0cc| Okay, just to clear up a couple things up - James isn't staring at anyone right now, that would be Sirius.

Second, it was James who calls Remus being a were-wolf 'your furry little problem'. Nadia doesn't know that Remus is a were-wolf unless she can sense it or something, and Nadia has been going somewhere else than the shrieking shack, I assume.

Third, Lily doesn't really hate James, probably just intensely dislikes him orgets frusterated at him. Also, she yells when she is driven to it. Sorry for the editorial, but....I think you may be going a little strong. Other than that, you're doing great.....

Oh, and LF? stop saying you're so bad. You're really not bad at all. You're just inexperienced, and that's okay. That's why we practice, remember?

Okay, I'm done now. n_n]

"I have one thing else to say." Dumbledore said.
"I would advise wize choices. Not only in friends, in toilet paper, and places to hide-" His blue eyes twinkled.
"But as well as partners for the upcoming events."
There was a pause, which was filled by quiet murmmering, and Dumbledore added,
"Tuck in, all!"

And with that, he swept his long white beard aside, and sat to eat.

Gwin felt the back of her neck itch, and knew Sirius was still watching the new girl.
"He's going to go for her anyways. What a dolt." Thought Gwin. The last two sentances were the only things that she heard of Dumbledore's speech.
"Upcoming event?" she asked aloud. She was not the only one asking.
Feeling that there was nothing else to do, she looked around. Her eyes stopped briefly on Sirius, a twinge of anger, and somthing else flew though her.
No way. She thought. I don't like a stinking Marauder. I don't.

"Just feasting my eyes for the new year," Sirius answered sweetly, before leaning forwards and helping himself to some food. "Surely you don't have a problem with that?" he asked, speaking through a mouthful of mashed potatoes.

Kailyn looked at the meat tart that had appeared on her plate. She knew someone was looking at her....it felt like a guy, too. Lovely.
"Oh, I don't know, Nadia." She replied quietly, before picking up her fork and beginning her dinner. She still felt the boy's gaze on her, but she did not look up. It would do no good to encourage this....She was not interested in a relationship. No matter what. She was just here to learn....

Within a moment, Gwin could stand it no longer.
She suddenly stood, muttering somthing about,
"Not hungry." and walked qwickly from the Great Hall.
She felt confused, and she didn't like it. He's the enemy!she raged. But he isen't AS bad.she countered herself.
As bad?! Who do you think you're kidding- You want to fratrinize with the enemy! [Luffs Rupert Grint for that line.]
To clear her head, Gwin stormed out to the Qwittich feild. Once in the center, she flicked her wand angrilly and bitterly commanded,
"Accio broom!"

The broom came at lightning speed, and she caught it in her hand.
So confused. She thought, as she gripped the broom tight. This shouldn't be happening. Not to me.
The schemeing voice laughed.

Peter fell over at Sirius' comment, assuming that it was a plot to get at the Rogues. He never understood.

[OOC: Edit: I know it's angsty, but I thought she deserved a moment of confusion. Plus- 'Love' Triagles are fun! ... And I need to start playing my Ravenclaws.... sweatdrop ]

Talos noticed the dark girl get up, and prodded her large friend next to her. Talos' hazel eyes shimmered, the puppy look coming on.
"Kael-" she said in a whimpy, trembly, can't-resist-the-face type voice.
Kael had a spoonful of mash potatoes almost to his mouth. He stopped, and looked upward.
"Oh no. It's the look." he muttered.
Talos couldn't help but grin mentally. She continued to look at him, her bottom lip trembling.
"Kael- Please do your big brother thing for Gwin. I think she needs it." Talos begged.
Kael carefully put down the spoon and turned slowly to the blond 5ht year beside him.
"No. It's your turn to do a good deed." he said flatly.
"But you're so much better than me at it!" she rebuked, sighing. Talos leaned on his shoulder and continued to whine.

Amos Diggory leaned over from the Hufflepuff table and whispered to Talos and Kael.
"She's right Kael, you do it so much better." he winced, remembering how Talos had convinced him to buy a pet pixy when he had felt lonely.

"See?" Talos said, smiling.
Kael sighed.
"I'll think about it. But I need to grab a tart first. I'm not going to battle the tiger with an empty stomach." he replied.
Talos smiled broadly, her freckles dancing.

Remus had turned completely to his book long before the others had a chance to even reply to his questions, but of course he still kept an ear out for their replies, and he knew they'd know he was listening. Even if he seemed not to be. He was often like that, nose in a book but still able to be a part of a conversation. It was a skill he'd achieved a long time ago. To listen and read at the same time. It was something most people found strange, and he'd used it countless times to listen in on conversations. Well only to help with the occational prank of course, but it had been done several times. He smiled a little as he read something interesting, and marked the page before turning his attention first to Sirius. "Why do you always go looking for trouble?" he asked a little then rolled his eyes, knowing he wouldn't get a good reply. "No strike that question, I know the answer already" he said hastily.

Then he turned his attention to James. "Yeah that is a sure thing. They probably will have turned her against us. I don't really get why there has to be a war going on here though. We're all in the same house...why try to compete like this?" he said absent mindedly. Not really realizing he'd even said it out loud. He half way kept an eye on the Rouges, just to continue to know what was going on there, so he did notise Gwin leaving and even though he was supposed to be rivals with the girl he didn't like the way she left. It was obviosu the girl was upset about something. But he quickly squashed the feeling of wanting to see if he could help. It was one of his deep instinct, to try to help people whenever they were feeling bad. It was a habit he most of the time didn't mind, but it got annoying at times too when his instincts told him to help people he didn't like or people he knew didn't like him. It was a bit annoying at those times.

His stomach made a loud rumble and alerted him to the fact that he was rather hungry. He filled his plate with some food, slowly starting to eat, his mind on anything other than the food. His mind on the Rouges, mainly of ways to avoid too much of a mess once the two groups clashed. But thinking about the groups had him thinking about the marauders, reminding him somehow that it wasn't too long until the next full moon, and what that would bring. Leaving him only idly stiring his food. Taking a small bite every now and then. But even with his mind on all of this he was still paying attention to the surroundings and what the others were saying and doing.
