 Luke rolled over on the couch and took a bite of the cookie Tally was holding in front of him. "No I'm not stressed. Just a little bit depressed. Motorola dropped a point today and I just sold my stock off. I still came up with a negative today. I haven't had a negative in a while." Luke stopped himself from rambling and smiled. "I'm boring you." he said as he sat up and latched on to Tally. "We're gonna go on date tonight. First I'm taking you shopping and then a special surprise. You're going to love it." Luke smiled thinking about the night he had planned for Tally. He really hopped that Tally would enjoy it.

 "You're not boring me. I like listening to your voice." He smiled down at him as he clinged to Tally. "You're adorable," he mumbled. He stroked the man's soft hair, straightening it out from beng tossled against the couch. "You're taking me shopping?" he asked with a small laugh. "For what? Clothes? I haven't been shopping in a while..," he said softly. "You don't have to... I mean, I want to. A lot. I'd love the date, too! But you don't have to." He hummed to himself for a few moments, just sitting there contentedly. "...I know it's kind of random, but I just want you to know that even if you somehow lost your money and you had to move out of this nice apartment and everything...I'd still like you just as much as I do now. I just...yeah..." He laughed a little at himself. "You're just...really sweet, and this is the first time I wish I were actually in a relationship rather than just random ******** on the job." He looked down at him, eyes brimming with happiness. "Uhm...anyway...when are we gonna leave? I already took a shower earlier. I just need to get dressed and I'll be ready."

Luke smiled at the sweet things Tally was saying to him and then he giggled a little bit when he mentioned him losing his apartment. He sat up and hugged him and put his head on his shoulder. "Tally," he said softly in an almost empathetic voice "I've paid my rent 5 years in advance." He laughed for a minute hoping that Tally would find the humor in the statement. He definitely didn't want Tally to have to worry about Luke's money problems. To simply put it, their were none. Luke's stock portfolio could only be shaken by a financial crisis as large as the great depression. He especially wanted to prove it to him that he had nothing to worry about. "I'm ready when you are I guess." Luke smiled and got up off the couch and stretched. "Were gonna go shopping for pretty designer clothes and get pedicures and other gay s**t like that." He said with a laugh. He pulled out his phone and placed a quick call to the car service. Usually you had to wait for a car but there was one available in the area so they could go ahead and head out. After lending Tally an outfit they left the apartment and took a trip down the elevator though instead of coming out of the parking garage, the doors opened to a grand 3 story classical styled lobby accented by a large fountain directly in the middle. The large gate-styled doors were both opened simultaneously by two separate men and two more similarly dressed men opened the two back doors to a white 2012 Lincoln Town Car and lightly closed them after Luke and Tally climbed inside. That's why Luke lived in this particular building. The amenities were almost equal to that of a hotel. Of course the extra charge he had to pay for amenities was through the roof but he didn't mind as long as we was so pampered. "Your ours for the night." Luke said to the driver as he buckled his seat belt and smiled at Tally. "Saks 5th Avenue."

Tally just went along with the whole ordeal, following Luke around like a puppy. "I'm really excited about this, actually. I dunno why. I usually don't like shopping or anything. Maybe it's just because I'm going with you. I do enjoy spending time with you." He leaned over and laid his head on the man's shoulder. "I can't believe you're not already married and s**t and adopted kids... It feels waaaay too good to be true." He hooked his arms around one of Luke's in a hug.

"Nobody likes me enough to marry me." Luke said as he stared at Tally with a humorous grin. "So where do you want to go shopping? We are going to Saks first because I saw a few things they have in their catalog that I want but that's pretty much the only place I really want to go. Also don't worry about taking your wallet out at all today. Everything is on me." He smiled and look up at the passing skyline. Traffic was light this time of the day but just then in an instant all his thoughts we're interrupted by the brief screeching of the tires just as they turned a corner. They weren't going very fast but they were going fast enough for Luke to be flung forward only to be caught by his seat belt. The car stopped fine and Luke looked up as a guy kicked the fender of the car and screamed something at the driver and walked off onto the sidewalk.

 "Whatever" Sam said as he placed his coffee beside him and stood up to zip up his jacket. "You were the worst sex I ever had anyways. He picked up his coffee and walked out of the coffee shop. His boyfriend of 3 months had just broke up with him. He quickly wiped away a tear and looked at his phone. No new notifications. He swiftly looked both ways then began to cross the street. He screamed and dropped his coffee when a white town car almost hit but stopped just in time. "Pay attention to the light you ******** moron!" Sam screamed as he kicked the fender leaving a small dent. He walked onto the sidewalk and down a few blocks before cutting through Highyard Park and heading towards the apartment building across the street.

Tally chuckled a little at Luke's comment. "Well, for your sake, I hope you find someone that does very soon," he said softly. "And...I have no clue where I wanna go. I don't really shop for clothes that ********!" squeaked Tally suddenly as he was caught by his seatbelt as well. He stared with wide eyes up at the person that jabbed his foot against the fender. "Well, he seems upset..," he grumbled as his eyes followed the young-looking man as he stormed away. "Uhh... Oh, yeah... Anyway, I don't shop for clothes that often, so I have no clue what stores have what stuffs," he finished as he rubbed his chest where the seatbelt pressed against it.

"Well I never took you for a man who liked to wear clothes that much anyways." Luke replied to Tally. "It's probably better that way." Luke grinned and pulled at the shoulder of Tally's shirt. "If you see something you like, anything at all, get it. I have plenty of money to blow." Luke seemed to completely forget about the errands that he needed to accomplish today and encompassed himself in making sure that Tally had the best day he possibly could.

Tally laughed at Luke's words. "Ah, you already know me so well. You must have magical abilities. Can you read my mind? Because if so, you may be in shock from what I imagine me and you doing," he told him with a chuckle. He smiled over at him happily. "Can you give me, like, a limit? I do better with calculations than freely shopping. I'd feel more comfortable knowing how much of your money I'll be spending."
A young woman whipped around as an apparently disturbed male rushed by and knocked her sideways. "Hey! I don't know what your story is, but being pissed off and taking it out on everything around you isn't the answer," she scolded him as she grabbed his arm. "That's it! Come on! You're coming with me! We're gonna go get ice cream! I don't even care if you're lactose intolerant! Ice cream! Now!" she said with finality and dragged him down the road to the nearest ice cream parlour. She basically threw him inside and pointed to the counter. "Go order something right now, damnit! I will make you happy!" she demanded, marching him over to the counter.

Sam swiveled on his feet in an attempt to regain his balance after being thrown into the ice cream shop. "I'm lactose intolerant!" he screamed without regards to the major shift in environment he just experienced. His voice erupted within the small shop and everyone inside stopped whatever conversations they were having and turned their attention towards him. His eyes widened for a moment and he let out a low grunt directed towards the small asian woman with an apparent large amount of upper body strength who had forced himself inside. "We have milk-free ice cream." whimpered a female employee behind the counter. With this Sam squinted at the asian girl and turned toward the menu hanging above the counter. "Whatever, you're paying."

"Don't be modest." Luke softly reiterated at Tally. "There's no room for modesty in this day and age." Luke smiled and was taken aback for a moment once he realized that he had accidentally quoted one of his partially despised acquaintances. He regained his bubbly mood, however, when the car rolled to a stop underneath the covered carport of an average New York styled shopping center that had been covered with large LED snowflakes to accompany the upcoming holiday season. The cool air rushed into the car as both of the side doors were opened by attendants who greeted the pair with a smile and simple nod of the head. Once inside Luke was greeted by name and was constantly catered to by a steady stream of sales associates who always seemed to be waiting just out of sight to take care of any need that may arise. At one point, Luke mumbled something about the background music and it changed within seconds. Luke had grown accustomed to this type of service though. He did not rely on it or take it for granted and had long since grown past the feeling of superiority that it brought along with it. More than the actual trip though, Luke enjoyed Tally's reaction to all of it. "How do you feel?" he asked Tally with a smile. The pair hadn't been in the store for too long and neither of them had seen anything they particularly liked but Luke could still sense that Tally was reluctant to choose anything at all. He had noticed the way he checked the price tag on all the items that he looked at. Having been in the same situation as Tally once, Luke knew that he would eventually become more comfortable and the thought of money would slip past him.

Tally winced every time he checked a tag. "So expensive," he mumbled. "I feel very poor... That's how I feel," he said quietly, a little put-out. "Are you sure it's okay if I get anything? I have a bad tendency to tear up my clothes unconsciously... I usually just wear T-shirts and jeans and stuff... Though...I have thought that I'd look damn sexy in a button-down vest. What do you think?" he asked, trying to open up a little to him since he felt so constricted in all of this expensive stuff.
The Asian woman grinned when Sam finally agreed. "That's what I thought. Get whatever you want. I have no problem paying." She happily ordered after he did and paid, then they sat down at a table. "Now," she said conversationally. "Tell me your troubles. And don't give me that "I don't even know you" or "I don't know what you're talking about". I am here. I am listening. Speak," she said calmly and took a bite of her birthday cake ice cream with a coy smile on her lips.

"My boyfriend dumped me." Sam mumbled hearing how pathetic it was. "Well, I guess I knew it wasn't going to work out, it's just... It's just he was really hot... and I have this party tonight. I don't know, it's stupid. I just was trying to make this person I used to see jealous. That's all." he let the empty spoon he had been using to shovel ice cream into his mouth between sentences sit in his mouth while he looked at his already half empty bowl of ice cream. "It is really stupid.." he responded to himself.

"Okay," Luke directed at Tally with a smile "would you like to know the real reason that I brought you here?" Luke slowly lead Tally toward a nearby leather sofa in the middle of this particular section of the department store. "We're thirsty." he directed at a nearby attendant to temporarily get rid of them. He turned back to face Tally and smiled as wide as he could "Well... Theres this party that I'm obligated to attend and, well.. I was hoping you would go with me." Luke glanced around the room real fast until he looked back at Tally and laughed a little. "Most of the people there are those snobby old-money types who bore the hell out of me and I'd love it if you were there."

Tally blinked as he followed Luke to the couches. He scowled a little when Luke almost commanded the person to get them drinks, but he understood why as soon as he sat down and Luke began to talk. After his explanation--and invitation--Tally smiled at him. "I'd love to go with you," he told him softly, sliding his hand over to touch his fingers to Luke's subtly. "But...do I have to dress int eh generic black suit? I'd like to stand out a little... I mean, you are buying it, so I guess it's up to you..," he said, finally calming himself so he would accept Luke buying him something. He was just glad it would come in use soon instead of him having the fear of never wearing it.
The Asian woman nodded a little as she listened to him. She thought for a moment then said, "You know, I could always dress up as a guy. I make a pretty sexy one, ya know. Or I could put on my sexiest outfit and go with you as a girl. Doesn't really matter to me," she suggested to him, resting her chin on her hand and smiled over at him. "I've got nothing to do tonight. 'Cept work. But this just seems much more interesting anyway." She shrugged, not really caring about it. "Plus, I haven't been to a good party in foreeeeveeeeer!"
