Haki frowned again, he was having some serious issues with the word ordering Sonnet was using. Something holding his feet? Again he looked down, "No holding....?" It was almost a question rather than a statement, the stallion unsure he had interpretted correctly, and he was pretty sure that once again he had mande himself look like an idiot. Worst still he spotted a blush of purple behind Sonnet and his heart nearly stopped.... Heze? Was Heze watching? He lowered his head to the ground and found he couldn't look or talk or do much of anything while his heart drummed so hard in his chest he was sure it would explode through the cage of his ribs at any moment. Gulping he bit down the reaction and said softly, "Dirt is not sand."
Sonnet nodded, he had only been on beach sand which could be stick in of itself because of the water but he had to agree, dirt was not sand. But they were running into walls with the language. Seeing Haki lower his head and look even more nervous Sonnet turned around, and looked at the spot of purple. "Heze het out here and be useful or go and help your mother." Yeah Haki had it bad, but maybe Heze could bridge the language barrier a little. Smiling at his daughter as she emerged from the bushes looking adorably rumpled from her spying and somewhat guilty. Taking it in stride when she stood by him in a clear statement of where her heart lay, weather she knew that or not. Sonnet nodded. "If you wouldn't mind?"
Heze came out the bushes when summoned, blushing and feeling bad, especially with how uncomfortable Haki looked. Going to stand beside him in an offer of support and help, looking at her father and nodding, pretty sure she knew what he wanted. Turning to Haki more she tried to do this in his language. "Wakati wewe kukimbia, haina uchafu kujisikia kama ni pulls juu ya moja au mbili ya makucha yako, na kufanya wewe mashaka?" (When you run, does the dirt feel like it pulls on one or two of your claws, making you stumble?) Looking at Haki apologetically, not havign meant to intrude and embarass him.

Haki decided to try and talk in their language in order not to leave her father out. "Not exactly...." He paused trying to think about it again. Looking down at his claws and he pawed them over the floor again. It was a hard thing to describe. "....awkward." He said softly, still blushing ever so slightly at having been caught by Heze in his embarassing state. He wondered if he could make it up some how and redeem himself a little. "It doesn't feel right. As if the dirt is.... in the way."
Sonnet wanted to sigh, this was difficult, Haki couldn't easily explain what the issue was and so he had even less idea how to help. "In the way how? Can you show me slowly?" He hoped that it was clear that he didn;t want Haki running off againm he needed to get up close with thise problem now, he was increasingly glad to have hooves and not claws.
Heze stood quietly, not feeling the need to act as a translator all the time.

Haki stood there for a moment, contemplating the question. He really didn't know what to say or do or what he was being asked to show. So he stood still for a moment. For a moment he stood there doing nothing. With a sigh he tried to show, staying on the spot as he moved his claws in much the same way he did while he ran normally. It was much slower now than what he normally was like, but mostly because he was forcing the action rather than doing it simply naturally.
As he watched he realised something, Sonnet's earlier question clicking into place. "They... do stick some...." He said.
Sonnet nods as he watches the claws dig into the dirt individually, it was like he thought, Haki was tripping over his toes. "Ok, when you run, move all claws at once like....." Lokking around and bringing a small bit of a branch back with him and settign it down. "Pick it up please" Nodding at the branch.

Haki did as he was told and picked up the branch with his claw, though he had no idea why he was doing it. "All claws at once." He repeated. Wondering exactly what he was doing. Haki was aware that Heze was still there but he tried to block her out enough to focus rather than simply growing more and more embarassed.
Sonnet nodded as he picked up the branch. "Drop it please, and watch your claws." He just needed to get Haki to see what needed to happen before they tried it out with an actual run.

Haki looked down at his claw and released it. Sure enough when he did his claw appeared flat and in one piece. Assuming this was what Sonnet meant he nodded. "I see." Only then did he let his eyes wander towards Heze. He smiled her softly before turning back to Sonnet. "Thank you." He bowed his head in respect for the aid. "I shall practice... later." He delayed for one simple reason... he really couldn't bare the idea of Heze watching him make a fool of himself again. He would do as he said and try and try until he got it... but without prying eyes upon him.
Sonnet nodded and smiled at Haki. "My pleasure, good luck with your practice." Inclining his head to them both in a little bow Sonnet turned and decided to go looking for his mate, hoping that he had managed to help Haki.
Heze smiles at Haki. Better?" Still blushing a little from having been caught peeking.

He watched Sonnet turn to leave before watching Heze for a moment, as she spoke he found himself suddenly wondering if he woudl ever redeem himself after his little embarassing escapade. Probably not. Still he nodded, "I'm good." Smiling softly, "Now." He cleared his throat before asking, "How long did you watch?"
Maybe it wasn't entirely as bad as he thought, maybe she had only just arrived...? Yeah, that was too much to hope for.
Heze goes very pink, lowering her head a little ashamed. "You just started running when I came back." The wings on her head drooping along with her ears, she was very sorry for sneeking around, especially as Haki had been so embarrassed when he noticed her. "I'm sorry."

Haki felt guilty at upsetting her, his eyes snapping straight to her little wings. He supposed for a moment that if he had been born of her herd he would have embraced her or held her or something in order to try and make her feel better... but he didn't, as always he stood back and simply watched, simply looked. "No need be sorry." He said softly, "Shall.... we walk? Together?" He said slowly wondering if it would make up for lack of touch.
Looking up at him Heze gave him an unsure smile. "You aren't angry with me?" Pretty sure she would get a bit of a telling off to remind her that sneeking around like that was rude.

Haki shook his head, "Never mad at you...." He said softly, smiling slightly, the tip of his beak curving up. "...I made fool of myself... that all."
Heze shaking her head, perking up again. "Never, I'd need help in the desert, you need help here. Change takes time..." Blushing and looking away a little. "Nadhani wewe ni jasiri na kuja hapa peke yake, na kuomba msaada. Sidhani mimi naweza kuwa na ujasiri wa kutosha kuondoka na kwenda mbali mbali na nyumbani..." ( I think you are brave to come here alone, and to ask for help. I do not think I could be brave enough to leave and go so far away from home...)

He looked at her for a long moment. His expression softening before shifting to slightly sadder tone. "Wewe kuiita ujasiri, naita woga. Mimi kushoto ... Nevermind." (You call it bravery, I call it cowardice. I left... nevermind.) he laughed a little, nerves rather than anothing else. He never told him of the past. Never told her about anything else from back then. "Samahani, mimi nitakuambia ... siku moja. Si tu ... hii siku." (Sorry, I will tell you... one day. Just not... this day.) In an effort to chance the subject he said. "Wewe ulikuwa nzuri sana leo. Wakati wa mazoezi ya namaanisha" (You were very good today. During practise I mean.)
Nodding, Heze was not about to demand he tell her anything, besides he had said one day and so she would wait. Blushing at his complement and looking away again. "I have practiced since I was very small, I watched, Crown would show me things, and my father. I wanted to be like them..."
