Cyan frantically checked his body. "B-Bleeding? Where?!" This continued for 8 seconds until Cyan realized his stupidity. Silver had asked if he was bleeding, not declared it. "Oh, uh, I guess I'm not bleeding... Thanks for helping out with this!" Cyan motioned to the bed. "And I think I can manage with my chores today, ha. I'm sure by the time breakfast is over I'll be good as new!" With this declaration he rose a fist into the air, and with that came a wave of pain. He dropped his arm and sighed. "I'll find you if I need help... You mind helping me to breakfast? It hurts to walk. Trust me, first times aren't always that awesome." Cyan giggled. He wasn't trying to scare Silver, but it was kind of hilarious. He extended his arm, awaiting Silver's help.

"Of course, anytime." Silver said coming over to help Cyan. He slipped under his arm so his arm was across Silver's shoulders. Silver moved at Cyan's pace and helped him up the stairs to the kitchen. Sonja saw them come in and pulled out a chair that had two pillows on it before going to help. "I made a chair for you." She said thoughtfully. She set the food on the table. "How was it for you?" Sonja asked curiously.

Cyan sat down softly, the pillows reducing the pain. He put a hand over his mouth and turned away from Silver, as if to hide a secret. He mouthed the word 'amazing' to her, and then put a finger up to his lips. "Shhhh, no spoilers, Sonja." Cyan laughed, and stuck his tongue out at Silver. Cyan waited for the table to be set, and for a response from Silver.

Sonja giggled softly as she blushed. "That's not fair." Silver protested softly. "I'd like to know what I'm in for. Are you upset with me that you had to go first?" Silver was concerned that Cyan was upset with him and that was why he wasn't telling him. "Please don't be mad at me. I would have gone first if he'd given us a choice." Besides their master, Cyan and Sonja were the only family Silver had left and he didn't want them to fight about anything.

Cyan blinked with a blank face. "Jeez... Um, sorry Silver... I didn't know you took it that seriously... We were joking, is all. I'm not upset, silly, and it wasn't bad at all, more of an exciting experience. And believe you me, I would have volunteered just the same if he'd given us a choice. It's just the luck of the draw.Cyan shined a smile full of care at Silver. Not once had even thought he was hurting Silver's feelings; Maybe he should take it easy. He cared about Silver, he was like a big brother. He didn't want anyone getting hurt.

"Oh, as long as you're not upset with me." Silver said with a shy smile. "We should get moving." Sonja said getting up from the table. She cleared the plates and started washing them. Silver got the cleaning rag for the table and handed it to Cyan while he looked for the mop and bucket. "Um....where's the mop?" Sonja smiled. " There isn't one. I clean the floor by hand." She got a large aluminum bowl that had a scrub pad in it. "Oh." Silver said taking the bowl and running water in it with a touch of floor cleaner. "Cyan, would you sweep for me?"

Cyan smiled. "Mhm!" He nodded. He began to wipe the table off with a watery, soapy solution. After drying it, he walked over to the kitchen utility closet. Whoa, I just walked. Breakfast really did work. he thought to himself. He grabbed the broom, a dustbin, and a garbage bag, and set off on a grand sweeping adventure. Cyan began happily humming to himself as he worked; it would always take his mind off of things. He liked the modern pop songs. They always seemed to feel upbeat and cheery, and in turn, made him feel so as well. After a sweeping tour of the entire household, and collecting quite a bit of dust, Cyan set the trash bag next to the table. "Silver, do you know where this goes?" he asked. Silver was nowhere to be seen, but the acoustics of this place made sound travel better.

"I'll take care of that." Sonja said picking up the hefty bag with ease. She was a cat after all. "There's a vacuum machine thing, but not a mop?" Silver said confused as he ran the almost quiet hand held machine that was sucking up anything loose from the carpets. Sonja got a spray solution and rags for Cyan to start on the windows while she started on the hardwood floors that started at the door and made up the hallway. The steps were carpeted, so she skipped those and came down to the second floor. "Not to wish you two into slavery, but I'm glad you two are here. The work goes alot faster." Sonja said with a smile. **good night** blaugh

"Well I would assume! I mean, you're only one person, Sonja. It would take forever to do all of this by yourself!" Cyan began spraying the windows in the kitchen with the solution. Wiping them off was an easy task, but he couldn't imagine the fatigue of doing all of these chores by yourself, and dealing with the master at night. This brought another alert to his mind. "Hey Sonja, or Silver, have you seen the Master today? I only saw him this morning. Any idea of where he could be?" Cyan was thoroughly confused. Normally, the master would stop by and acknowledge them. Maybe it was his so called, 'quiet time'? **Nighty night! razz **

"The last time I saw him was at breakfast and then he left. He didn't say much this morning. Just good morning. He had breakfast and said see you later after he kissed us." Silver said. Sonja smiled. "He doesn't talk alot in the morning. He's been like that since I've known him. He'll get up, get dressed, eat and leave. Sometimes he takes Acorn with him; like this morning. He rarely comes home for lunch. He'll usually say if he is going to. And he rarely misses a dinner. So he'll remain at work all day." "I'm going to check the list to make sure we didn't miss anything. I'll be right back to help with the windows." Silver said leaving the room and heading back up stairs. He didn't want Cyan going up the steps although he did seem to feel better. Silver tried to make it quick. He didn't want them to think he was trying to skip out on work. "Um, ceiling fans? How many are there? I thought I only saw two." Called Silver from upstairs.

Odd. He hadn't expected the master to be that antisocial. Maybe a bit more flamboyant, but that was pushing it. He turned to face the stairs, away from the window he was scrubbing vigorously. "Did you get the one in the hallway between our room and Sonja's?" Cyan called up. It was nice, having Silver help him around with the chores. Even though his sores and aches had gone away, Cyan's chores alone may have taken 3 times as long without help. He smiled to himself. It's nice having a family work together, he thought. "Sonja, what's next?" Cyan called out after he had finished with the windows.

"I'm working on it now." Silver called back. "Um....I think that's it. I can't think of anything else. But the best way to check is take your list and check each item as you sign off on it. Make sure to sign. He will check." "I'm done." Silver said coming back in. "Wow, we finished early. It's a little after lunch. I guess we'll have a little more to do after we eat. But that'll be it until he comes home, right?."

Cyan sauntered over to the chores checklist. He began checking off everything he had done, and what Silver had helped him with. Content with himself for finishing everything, he signed his name at the bottom with a pen Sonja provided him with. "Yeah, I s'pose that'll be it until he comes home. So... uh... Sonja, is there any music rooms around here? Maybe pianos? Or games; Yeah, we could all play a game! Or, relax... I guess. But it's free time, so why not take advantage of what we can?" Cyan took a deep breath. He could speak at least 4 miles a minute if he wanted to. He wondered if it annoyed the other two.

Silver just chuckled as he checked and signed his list off. Sonja on the other hand stared blank eyed at Cyan, trying to figure out what he'd just said. When it finally registared she giggled. "You're funny, Cyan." She hung her list back up on the wall for their master to see when he came in. "No, I'm sorry. There is no piano. Master doesn't like them any more....." She hesitated to say more. "But there is a chess/checker's board and a deck of uno cards. Other than that, there is nothing else." Sonja looked around to make sure there wasn't anything that wasn't on the list that she'd forgotten. It all seemed too easy...but many hands make light work. "What about paint and canvas?" Silver asked. "Master did offer it to me at one time, but he didn't get around to it and I was so busy, I didn't ask for any. You could ask him." "Cyan, do you paint? If I ask, do you both want me to ask for enough for the three of us?" Silver asked. Sonja smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, I like to paint! I mean... I'm not good, but it's better then checkers. Maybe we could all paint the Cap'n a sweet picture. That oughta brighten him up a little bit." Cyan smiled at his idea. Even though he was godawful at using anything that involved art, he would try his best. Then his mind thought up another abrupt idea. "Hey Sonja, are there any places of this household that are outside that we have access to? I'd really like to go there, if we can. If not, it's okay. Oh, and by outside, I don't mean underwater." Cyan hadn't had natural air in a while, and he was aching to smell the ocean breeze. Just being outside would make him feel free as a bird.
