During the months of the build, Vlad practically lived in the ocean with Sal. But, Sal knew that the sun was hurting the vampire. He wanted to confront him, and tell him to go home and never come back outside, but Vlad would only deny being in pain and his efforts would have been wasted. So, he just put up with it. When Vlad went to go feed, Sal didn't like that either. Being away from the vampire made him paranoid that he would find someone else to make him happy.

When the tank and tubes were finished, Sal was pleased. Not because he would be able to swim through the castle, but because Vlad would finally return home and stop putting up with the sun. And, Sal was going to make sure of it. "Come on! Let's go!" He took Vlad's hand and swam to the shore. "Go inside. I'll meet you there." With that, Sal swam and found the tube that went straight to the pool. Once he was out of the pool, he changed forms and looked around for Vlad before seeing him coming up from the beach. Going over to him, the merman took his hand again and walked with him to the castle and practically pushed him inside. "Now you won't be hurt anymore."

Sal jumped when Vlad snapped at him, and he looked down as the other apologized and explained everything. After a few minutes, Sal reached out and took Vlad's hand. Feed from me....You said I was your lover, didn't you? As your lover....I'm supposed to provide you with everything you need. Please....I don't like seeing you so distressed...."

Sal frowned and shook his head before moving to stand in front of his partner. "I won't accept you going out and finding someone else! Why do strangers get the responsibility of sating you and I don't!?" The merman's eyes widened a bit as he realized what he had just said. "Ah....No, that's....I meant feeding, not...."

Sal cringed when Vlad yelled at him, expecting to be hit or something. But, he wasn't and he looked up tentatively. "I-I'm sorry....I didn't mean to anger you, Vlad. I won't...say anything about it again...." The merman gave the other a soft kiss and told him to go feed before goin up to the ocean room Vlad had made. He sat on the bed and looked down, his hands resting on his lap. He was thinking about what Vlad said. That he didn't let him touch him as lovers did. Was that true? It had to be. Vlad wouldn't have said it if it wasn't. Maybe he could let the vampire take him tonight then. Sal knew he loved Vlad, and would do anything to make him happy. The merman decided he'd go to Vlad's room when he heard him return to the castle and see if he could go through with it. If he couldn't....Sal wasn't sure what he'd do.

Sal had sat in his room silently and patiently, though he grew worried. Eventually he heard Vlad enter the castle and he walked out of the bedroom to go find him. He intended on going to Vlad's room, but he had to make sure the vampire was okay. When he found him, he looked injured and Sal's eyes widened before he ran over to him. "Vlad...! What happened? Are you okay?" He held worry in his eyes, and he was scared that someone had hurt him badly. He didn't look severely injured, though. "I-I'll take care of your wounds! Um....How would I go about doing that?" Sal realized he had never seen Vlad hurt, so he had no idea how to tend to the other's injuries. It was strange.

A new vampire because of the feeding? Sal was confused, but didn't say anything. Everything would make sense eventually. The merman let out a surprised gasp when he was suddenly bitten, but he wasn't at all disappointed. Instead, he was pleased; and, not just because the bite seemed to fill him with pleasure. He had gotten to feed Vlad! The other pulled away and Sal just gazed at him with glazed eyes. "Ah....Wh-Why are you sorry?" Sal leaned forward and wrapped his arms around Vlad's neck, looking up at him softly. "I wanted to do something for you today. Ah....Well, actually....I wanted to...give you my body." He was being a lot more honest than he had intended on being. Sal was just going to undress for Vlad when he walked into the bedroom, but this worked, too. Right?

Sal nodded softly at Vlad's reaction to what Sal wanted to do. He shivered a bit as his neck was kissed. His blood was stronger? "I thought about what you said. That you couldn't touch me as a lover should....I've been cruel to not give you that satisfaction. I....I want you to make me yours, so...." He looked down shyly as he pulled away from Vlad and backed away a few feet. After a deep breath, Sal let his kimono fall a bit so that his torso was bare. He kept his lower body covered, though, in case Vlad rejected the offer or was put off by him. "I...love you, and I want to make you happy."
