Of course Damien followed Sadira. He couldn't let her stumble upon trouble. He was doubtful that there was trouble...but if she was anything like his sisters, trouble found her.
Good. You certainly know your way around. You've been coming here since you were a child, correct?

She looked over her shoulder. It's a safe haven. She made sure it would be a safe haven.

His brows were knitted. He could delve into her mind and find out the answer, but he liked their telepathic talking. And it was rude to go running around in the heads of other ponies.

She gave a little smile. More a contingency plan than anything. I was always told to have a place I could go to in case of trouble. Her spine tingled. She liked that he called her ma cherie.

It is always a good idea to have a safe place to go. It makes me happy that you didn't have to hide from anything. We should probably find another place to go then, for a back up. Or a special, super fortified area of this cave.
The cavern began to feel more and more like home to him. Or was it that Sadira was here, and he was beginning to feel more at home with her? He couldn't really tell, and didn't feel like investigating the feeling. It didn't matter where it came from, he liked it anyway. There was a comfort in it that he hadn't experienced since childhood.

We could do both. Find a fortified space in here and have a back up home. We'll even look together.
Amazing how close she was feeling to him.No other had made her feel that way before, except maybe her sister Aissa. She'll have to eventually let them meet him.

I would feel better knowing we had both. I like to be prepared for anything. It makes it easier to keep whomever I'm guarding safe, as well as myself.

He encouraged the brushing of his mind by brushing hers in return. I'm starting to enjoy touching minds with you. I don't know how I did so many of the things I did before you. And I haven't had you that long.
He nuzzled her with his mind, There are some caves in the mountains of Nightmare Valley that I have spent time in. They are easily defended and solid. I would like those to be considered for our backup residence.

It's safe. A few other members of my family have the same kind of bolt holes all around the range. So even if something should get past my safeguards and the barriers I set, help isn't far away. No one's overly close, but in a pinch, we could get aid. Not that my safeguards will fail.

Damien moved his hoof, directing the water to splash on Sadira.
I was thinking about creative ways to dry you off.
A small smile played across his lips. He sent her a rather steamy image of them entwined.
I could make it interesting...

Her cheeks pinked at the image he shared with her but she was excited at the idea.
I like interesting... She lifted her eyes to meet his, a little smile on her lips as she 'flicked' water back at him playfully.

He snorted and waved his hoof at the waterfall, causing a rush of water to come in and soak them both.
Oops. A bit too much there...
Damien laughed and pushed some of the water back out of the cave.
