Alvin was relieved she wasn't hurt, though he knew his father wouldn't damage one of his treasures. "Yeah, they're here. Don't worry." She was smart. Though....It wasn't hard for the puzzle to be put together. "I know he's a b*****d, and you probably want him dead, too, but....Can you maybe convince Vladimir to not hurt my father? I'm not happy about what he's done, but he's still my dad and I....I don't have any friends or other family."

Sal listened to Tina as she spoke with Vlad, and he didn't know what to feel. He wanted the man dead, too, but if he really was the only family Alvin had, he'd never forgive himself for letting the man die. "...Vlady. I think that's an ironic question for you or I to ask, considering how we met. Killing his father and leaving him alone in the world would be very cruel to him, and he has done nothing wrong. Besides....We promise an award to anyone who can bring Tina back to us, and I believe Alvin's chosen his." Sal looked up and kissed Vlad's cheek. He really understood what Vlad was feeling right now, but someone had to have a hold on their moral compass.

Alvin peeked into the manor and looked around. As he walked in, he saw his father coming down the stairs. "Dad." "Hm? What is it, Alfred? How did your research go?" Alvin smiled a bit. "It went great. I already know a lot of the history...." Aiden tilted his head and looked at Alvin before coming closer to him. "Why'd you leave your phone in the library? Sam called to tell me you were gone, but your phone said you were in the library." "Huh?...Oh. It fell out when I was sitting in one of the chairs. I went back to get it when I noticed it was gone."

Alvin's gaze shifted a bit as Vladimir spoke to him telepathically. Were they all telepaths? Hearing Tina assure him Vladimir wasn't going to kill Aiden, the teen closed his eyes. "...I'm going to my room to work on my essay. I'll see you at dinner." "Work hard, alright?" Alvin went up to his room before telling Vladimir and Sal which room Tina was in and putting on his headphones. If Vladimir was going to hurt Aiden, the teen didn't want to hear it. He didn't like when people got hurt.

The music drowned out whatever it was Vladimir was doing to Aiden, but he could still hear Valentina. "...I can't. Arendale's too far from Arabor. I'd neer be able to make it to my classes on time." Besides, Vladimir didn't like him. Or, trust him. "I thought you didn't like me? Why would you want to see me again?"

Aiden watched as the vampire left to go and free his daughter. What he said about Alfred angered him. He should have known something was wrong when the teenager had come home acting nervous. His confidence in his control over the boy had been a bit too high. The man's prized treasure wasn't worth much at all anymore. But, he couldn't do anything while the vampire was in the house.

Alvin kept his eyes on the notes he took of Arendale as Tina spoke to him, and removed his headphones when she came in. He listened to her, blushing when she kissed his cheek. So, she really didn't hate him. That made him a bit happy. It was nice to know she didn't hate him. He watched as Vladimir pretty much dragged her out of the house, and he tensed a bit. Fathers really were protective of their daughters. Getting up, he went to the window and watched Valentina run up to Sal. He should have been surprised thats he was the girl he had bumped into the other day, but something about it just seemed so obvious. Alvin was embarrassed he hadn't pieced it together sooner.

When she turned to look at his window, he waved to her and the two men. He would have said something to them, but his wrist was grabbed and he was pulled from the room by his father. "Things would have been fine. They would have been fine if you had just stayed out of it." "Dad--" Aiden turned and struck Alvin, silencing him. "I am not your father. Don't ever call me that again." Aiden dragged the teen into his office, where he let go of him and pulled a handgun from his desk drawer. Oh, sh--! I didn't think he'd really do this! Alvin managed to duck out of the way of the first bullet and the run out of the room to dodge the next. Aiden really was crazy! He never actually thought the guy would really try to kill him! What the hell!? Running down the stairs, he somehow managed to trip on his own two feet. That wasn't good, and highly clichéd. "Jjst stay down and accept it. It'll be easier on you." It wasn't like he could really move anyway. Alvin was a bit dazed from his fall.

Alvin sort of curled up out of instinct, though it would do absolutely nothing. He waited for his father to shoot him, but he was instead saved by Valentina. "Valentina, what are you--" He was cut off when she spoke to Vladimir, and didn't do anything. It wasn't like he'd be able to eacape his grip anyway. When he was put in the car, Alvin jumped when Sal looked back at him. "Are you hurt?" Alvin looked at the merman before he looked down. Yes, he was hurt. The only person he ever had to turn to had just tried to kill him. "Alvin?" The merman reached out to him, probably wanting to pat his head again, but Alvin slapped his hand away. He didn't want to be touched or bothered right now. He wanted to be left alone so he could cry, but he wasn't alone and he wouldn't cry in front of others. It was something he was never able to do. "Poor boy...."

Alvin didn't do anything to push Valentina away. He didn't want Vladimir to be angry with him. It didn't seem that Sal was upset his hand was smacked, but he was the gentle one, wasn't he? He probably understood that Alvin hadn't meant to hurt him if he did, but didn't want to be bothered. He listened to the girl as she spoke to him, and he brought his knees up to his chest. It wasn't her fault. She didn't need to apologize. "It's not like it was much of a relationship. It's just...." He still loved his father. It hurt to have been almost killed by him.

Sal looked back at the two teenagers, seeing that Tina was talking with him. He smiled softly before he frowned and looked at Vlad. "He'll need a place to stay. We...have plenty of room in the castle." The merman knew his lover wouldn't want Alvin in their home. He was, after all, the offspring of the man he hated right now. It would probably take some convincing on Sal's, and maybe Tina's, part. But, Sal would push for it.
