Lukas had barely done any good this time, and maybe because he was tired -- blinking, weapons loose in his hand as he stared down at the spot where the horseman had been. His expression was baffled, not just blank but confusion taking over, despite his best efforts.

"She disappeared." Puzzlement tinged his voice as he looked up at them, and then his expression turned to flat, instead, realizing his mistake. The only one of them who'd never seen someone dissipate before, and he'd just more or less admitted to it.

Sherry held tight to her weapon. The chances of them being more around was higher than she would like. Those bugs had gone somewhere, and Sherry was all but certain it was to find help. It made sense to her, at least.

"I like it when they disappear. It usually takes them some time to come back." Sherry didn't know how long it took for them to reform. It seemed to vary with the creature. "And there's less mess to clean up, which can be a good thing."

Sherry glanced around and nodded at Jake's words. "More is likely. Activity seems a little high." Though she'd rather have horseman than giant sand bugs. "We probably should make special note of things when we report in."

She looked at Lukas and put on a smile. "The Sahara is full of sandy fun, isn't it?"

"Well..."
It was probably better to have more conclusive proof of what the horsemen were up to, or heck, even where their hideout was, but with only a team of three and them constantly running into horsemen, Jake didn't want to chance an ambush.
"To be honest, probably not, but I'd rather not risk running into even more of them. Plus, we could always try interrogating that horseman we caught."
He didn't seem overly positive about the result. They'd be lucky if they got anything useful from that horseman but... oh well.
