Chiara yelled, going all out in attacks. This time she was not with a partner, those only got her more pain. Chiara frowned, annoyed with her orangeblood "partner". That girl was as stubborn as his hair, and that hair would never behave, Chiara new it.

It was another reason she only did melee fights, none of those bullshit ranged weapons. True skill was in hand to hand, not cheating by firing from far away.

Keionx was on her own today, amidst a team of probable strangers. She didn't do as well as she might have liked, but she'd learned that even a weak beginning could lead to a strong end. She just had to persevere and do the best she could. While waiting out a lights-out from one of her enemies, she wandered into a possibly better position to find... a target. As yet unspoiled. Excellent.

Keionx kept shooting until the target began to flash, and until a PEW from behind alerted her to the enemy. She picked it up - it was! It was a musclebeast milk and oats bar, artisan made. She snuck a look around before she bit into it. Mmm... Just like her dad used to make, back up in busthind. It was invigorating. The only thing more perfect would have been a massive, warm, musclebeast milk smoothie! Feeling restored, she leapt back into the game, saving the rest in a pocket for later!

At least, she wasn't until someone hit her in the face during a rush of the enemy base. "WATCH where thou art going!" she bellowed, before recoiling slightly, startled. She hadn't intended to be so loud. In a quiet moment, she rubbed her face. No damage, and she didn't know who had done the deed so she couldn't really demand explanation, retribution, or even just generally confront them. So, she continued, until the timer ran out...

 Codename: 9 PAladin 6 Points: 14 + 5 for protein bar = 19 Party: Reisio Mirrim Inventory: +1 Protein Bar! The neon lights on the dark backdrop were hard to miss, even among the glitz of the average Bloodfest night. The Mirrim twins were drawn to the booth like moths. (Oisier was fairly certain they saw a moth actually get nuked on one of the errant lasers.) They very nearly gasped upon learning the nature of the spectacle. "Reisio, we simply must," Oisier urged, already making to don a thick, padded vest. "It's for the good of Alternia," they said, and cocked their laser gun. The interior of the booth was both dimly lit and disorientingly flashy from the bursts of colored light. Oisier would have been more overwhelmed had they not been riding the high of make believe military grandeur. They tucked and rolled behind a low wall, firing as they tumbled. It was just like they'd seen in the movies. Skidding to a stop, they caught sight of some shiny foil on the ground. "Look, Reisio: rations," they said with the tiniest smile.

Codename: 6 paladIN 9 Points: 30 + 2 = 32! Party: Oisier Mirrim Inventory: 0w0 Reisio was similarly enamored by the shimmering lights of the booth. They wanted to touch all of the neon, glowing things - the beauty that was reflected in the night sky in the form of two moons. One of which was an Alternian Military base. Reisio wanted to go to there. Realizing that their mouth was agape, Reisio cleared their throat and nodded enthusiastically at their twin. Something productive, fun, and competitive was perfect for the young Mirrim, who shuffled their vest on with eagerness. This was the closest they could get to being in the military for now, and they could win delicious comestibles to boot. Reisio laughed flatly at their sibling's joke and picked up a gun. As the two entered the radically lit maze, they were immediately overtaken by the rush of the game. What they lacked in dancing earlier they would make up for in combative vigor. An initial two shots to the aliens was met with Reisio grinning, pressing their teeth into their lips and sucking in a wet breath as the excitement hit. Vigor got the best of them; soon they charged into the fray, ducked, sped and dodged like a maniac. In the meantime, Oisier had found some important rations. They were an unstoppable force of sustained warriors.

Codename: 9 PAladin 6 Points: 19 + 59 = 78 Party: Reisio Mirrim Inventory:The Mirrim twins excelled at synergy. Shooting guns appeared to be pretty high on the list too. Oisier failed to be surprised. They neatly snapped their protein bar in half with their teeth and pocketed the rest to share with Reisio. Reisio, meanwhile, took the offensive lead, and charged into the fray with their laser gun blazing. Oisier was on their sibling's tail, supporting their movements instinctively. Reisio aimed high, Oisier aimed low. Reisio strafed left, Oisier went right. While the duo may have lacked age and proper combat experience, they also lacked a blind spot. Oisier pivoted on a heel, planting themselves at Reisio's back. The two shot up the entire clearing where they stood. Reluctantly, Oisier stopped firing when they realized there was nothing left of merit to shoot. They panted with their teeth bared in a grin. Without looking back, they raised a fist for their twin to bump.

Panili had noticed the booth from far away. The pink and green were so pleasing, reminding her of the far off Alternian moons. But, as she approached, she noticed the bulbous heads and eyes of the extraterrestrial training dummies and the laser guns, and her throat clenched up. There was a flash in her vision, the smell of something odd - it may have been some kind of future sight, but more likely it was a reaction to the laser tag arena to her left. She spotted an older blueblooded troll, who looked like she was in charge. "Hello! So, um - do both teams represent... Invaders from space? What's the simulation here exactly?"
