He grinned and nodded. "Of course. I would love a rematch." He was delighted. That meant she had intentions of seeing him again, and that thrilled him from his flecks down to his tail feathers. "And what of my prize?" For this, he was even more excited.

She was overjoyed, he accepted! He would race her again! Issa laughed and danced around for a moment, leaning forward and kissing him like she had promised she would. With a giggle she leapt away, cheeks warming.
"Are you satisfied, my Prince?"

Afu grinned and nodded. "Very much so." He said as he shook his white mane, thoughoughly pleased. "Now... perhaps it would be to foreward of me, but I'm curious... when you leave your pride... Perhaps..." Would his boldness force her to a decision that she did not want? Perhaps... but he would try any way... Issaria was like a fresh breese to him, her free spirit, and that enchanting smile. "Perhaps you would join me in the Pride I wish to form?"

Issaria blushed and pranced around some more, stopping at his question. She was speechless, for all of 6 seconds.
"YES!" She cried joyously. "Oh that would be wonderful!"
Join Afu's Pride? The idea warmed her heart. She was quite taken with this dark Prince, and would gladly follow him to his new lands. What would keep her away?

Afu smiled gently at her reply. She seemed excited, and that made him happy. She was such a darling lion. His invitation might have been out of friendship, but her was beginning to think that he might want her out of love. "You're answer pleases me, Princess."

Contrite after her outburst, she bowed her head slightly. A smile stretched across her maw that she couldn't get rid of, and when she met his eyes, her own were dancing.
"I am glad you are pleased, Great Prince." She murmured.

((Want to skip ahead a little? Issa ran away from her Pride, maybe Afu could stumble across her being all upset and talk to her?))

((of course!))

It had been a while since Afu had seen Issaria. He missed her dearly, and that was something else. He had only met the girl once and she already clearly haunted his thoughts, and dreams as well. His thoughts wandered to his brother, and how Achilles had found love in Aelita. Would he too, find love in a childhood friend? He had once invited Issa to join his pride when he was old enough, and now... now he was old enough. He was a lean, strong male, full grown. He sighed and shook his pearly white mane.

The savannah was hot as the haze of the suns heat faded into the evening. He knew he should have returned to his father's pride, but something encouraged him to stay out in the savannah. Something... but what could it have been?

((She's going to be hitting adult stage soon, so I'll just RP her as one now, okies? ^.^ ))

Issaria threw herself into a thick bed of grass, tears running down her cheeks. She hadn't wanted to fight with Salania, they were sisters after all.. But she had tried to apologize, and it had blow up in her face. They had said terrible things to each other, called each other dead... Sworn to hatred, they were much the same.
And very different.
A stretch of pale pink and white against an emerald sea, Issa made no attempt to blend in. She merely lay there, the whole of her sleek form shivering. She had left her family behind, not that it mattered. Sala too had run away... Their father was hardly around. Mother.
Issa cringed in shame. She had no right to do this to Akitana, her mother was not to blame. Never had been. Nor had Hinhallow.
"I'm sorry, beloved family." She whispered to the sky, her eyes filling with tears. "I am so sorry.."

Afu heard a whisper, though he knew not where it came from, he knew the voice. "Issaria?" He asked outloud, hoping his imagination wasn't fooling his lovesick mind. "Are you there?" He added, just in case.

Issaria stopped crying, lifting her head as a few tears dripped down her cheeks. She knew the voice that so tenatively called out her name, knew it was a friend rather than another angry family member.
"Afu?" She mewled softly, shaking uncontrollably. "Is, that you?"

She sounded so terrified, so distraught that Afu pushed his was through the brush to reach her. "Issaria..." Words failed him as he saw her again for the first time in a long time. She had grown up. She was beautiful. "What plagues you, my lady love?" He asked tentativly.

Issaria's heart leapt at the sight of him, as though a ray of light had filtered into the dark landscape. She bowed her head a moment, her sky blue forelock masking her face, and then lifted her chin proudly. Standing on shaking paws, she paced to Afu and buried her face in the silken fall of his mane. "I am... I find I am homeless, Dearest Lord."

As much as he tried, he couldn't hide the loud purr that errupted from within him as she rubbed her face against him. "You are? How so? You've known for ages that you'd have a home with me when I start my pride."

Issaria felt her heart leap and smiled, licking Afu's cheek in gratitude. "Thank you Afu, I... I cannot tell you how much that means to me."
She was relieved that he still felt the same as they had when they raced, but still.. Knowing her sister wished her dead or worse, she couldn't face her family. She couldn't go home.
At least, not to her old home.

Afu forced himself to remain in control of his body. How much he wanted to jump up and down like a kit when she licked him... oh how much... "Issaria, since you have yet to find a home, perhaps now would be the oportune time to start my pride?" He didn't ad that his brother had already found a mate and was now about to leve to start his own pride.
