"So you're a doctor and you dont like blood? Isnt that a little strange?" He chuckled as he walked over and leaned on Kaleb. "I mean you'd be expected to see alot right?"

Kaleb blushed darker, still keeping his eyes safely closed. "I-I'm not a doctor," he said quietly, and then a lopsided and somewhat self-defeating smile spread across his face. "I-I wanted to be a surgeon, b-but that didn't work out so well. Now I just want to help where I can."

"Yea, kinda cant be a surgeon unless you can deal digging around in people's innards." He'd done his fair share of digging bullets and shrapnel out of himself or Rude so he was rather desentized.

Kaleb wrapped his arms around his scrawny waist in a protective hug. "Organs are no problem," he muttered, "neither are dissections, it's just the blood..." He trailed off, and then spoke again rather suddenly. "Is there still blood on your finger?"

"But if you cut people open you get blood." He chuckled. He looked at his hand, turning it on Rude's shoudler. "Nope, fine now"

Kaleb huffed as he finally opened his eyes. "I'm well aware that when you cut people you get blood. We've already seen that demonstrated three times today." He glared at a spot on the floor with an almost petulant expression.

Kaleb huffed again, but stopped glaring at the floor. After a second he looked up at Reno with his usual somewhat nervous expression. "That first night, Rufus said I might be asked to accompany you. I-if there's blood, I-I'll try hard not to faint."

"I really dont think you'd have to worry abou that. I mean you're not the kind of person we'd go taking to where any of the blood might be." He grinned. "Well other than the blood that get's on our cloths"

Kaleb relaxed a little, but he wasn't completely reassured. "I-I would go if I were asked to," he said quietly. There was no point to his training if he couldn't go where he might be needed most.

Kaleb nodded without looking up to meet Reno's eyes. If only he could have been more than he was, he wouldn't need so much protecting. He glanced up briefly to see if Tseng was off the phone and available for questions. Self-doubt always gave him more incentive to work on his research, and if he worked hard enough, perhaps someday his fear of blood wouldn't be quite so important.

As Kaleb looked over Tseng snapped the phone shut and tucked it in his jacket. Straightning his hair he looked at the other three.
