Lirin couldn't help but laugh at the energy of the little blue. "Of course," he said, grinning as he scratched an eyeridge. "Might I know your name, little one?"
Oh...Ryneth. The blue crooned happily, eyes whirling red with hunger. But I am very very hungry.
Lirin looked around, and noticed that the other new weyrlings were making their way towards an exit, where meat awaited the new dragonets. "Alright then, come along." Helping steady his new partner, he headed in that direction.
Alright. The blue staggered happily after, still getting the hang of walking.

Rayinte The bronze and green were still looking, but the third blue to break shell finally discovered the use of its legs and hurried toward one of the boys and claimed him, !!! My name is ..., he said to Halenar. The sight of the brown ambling past nearly brought Halenar to the point of tears. Sorin! My dear Sorin... No, Not now. With an effort, he managed to push the memories of the late brown aside. That brown that had just passed was a dragon, not his dearly departed flit. As he forced his eyes from away from the brown, a flash of blue caught his eye... and grew larger as the one wearing that amazingly colored hide quickly approached him. Halenar! My name is Cerinth, the little one said as he slowed to a stop right before him. Hal blinked in surprise. ".... Cerinth?" Slowly kneeling, he stretched a hand toward the dracling, reaching to caress the blue's headknobs... and instantly became aware of Cerinth's mind; his thoughts, his feelings, and his overwhelming hunger. I am very hungry, Cerinth agreed, beginning to creel and nudging Hal gently with his snout. "Come on then, let's see if we can find you something," Hal - H'nar - replied, and stood to begin leading his dragon out of the Grounds.

Akai spotted the exit also and stood
"That's where we need to go Tollyth" she said.
FOOD!! he bound foward and tripped falling flat on his face. Akai shook her head
"Slow down Tollyth i'm sure there will be plenty for you and kopi" she coudlnt' help but giggle as his great jewled eyes looked at her in planitive i'm starving plea.
"Yes i'm going.." she helped him stand and he snorted out some sand that had gotenen in his nose as Akai started to walk and he practially danced foward then back then foward again trying to get her to hurry
Minneee.. come on.. I am hungry! He finally went behind akai and started to headbutt her in the legs
Faster mine faster! He repeated crooning as his head playfully shoved at her legs. she laughed again shaking her head
"Stop that Tollyth you silly dragon.. we're going and there is plenty of food i'm sure. Now cut that out before you trip me" she coudlnt' be mad at him though.. it didn't even hurt.

Asherak's stomach clenched. Everything was happening so quickly! Everyone around him, it seemed, was impressing. It wasn't until that moment that he realized how much he wanted to impress. He closed his eyes and drew in a deep breath.

((Couldn't wait to get things started, huh?? xd ))
Watching all the Impressions taking place, Vytende turned confidently back toward the bronze. The first bronze of the clutch, he thought, as he carefully shifted from one foot to the other. Really, why do we have to be out her barefoot?? Makes no sense to me. Watching the bronze one, he waited, certain........

I'm hhhuuuuunnnnggggrrrrrryyyy!!! Xanth drawaled pleadingly as Alira hugged her neck.
Alira jumped to her feet, almost falling to the sands in her haste, and quickly looked around for food, like it should have magically appeared brfore her because Xanth wanted it so. Spotting the other candiates, no... weyrlings moving towards the exit, A'ra decided that was probably the way to go.
"Come on, little one. We'll get you some food." A'ra started coaxing the little green towards the exit, being careful not to step on her wings or tail.
Hungry, hungry, hungry, hungry... Xanth chanted as she fumbled her way towards the exit at A'ra's bidding.
And tired!!

Alerai - now A'rai - saw several others lead their hatchlings off ths sands. The brown noticed where she was looked, and started over there. Come, mine. I'm hungry. A'rai chuckled. "Alright, alright. I'm coming." The brown danced rather gracefully towards food. Mine! Come on! A'rai raced to catch up.
Blazren looked to see who was around. Was that a bronze? He watched the bronze very carefully, trying hard to keep a respectful distance from both the bronze and the massive queen...

The green chirped and looked at several of the candidates, not having decided yet. She stopped near a boy who seemed especially fidgety, but no, that wasn't her person. Surely someone here was just for her! She kept looking.
The bronze moved through the eggs, knocking into one, which toppled in the sand where it continued to rock. He stopped, nosing it, then stumbled backward as another bronze emerged. He waited near his brother for a moment, then continued on his way, pretty sure he'd already sensed his person.
Hah! Mine! he attemped to roar his victory at finding Balint, the sound coming out shrill and scratchy.
The other bronze squirmed about on the sand a moment before a strong pull took him to the candidates. He stopped, undecided, seeing several people before him, and not sure which one was the right one. He was pushed aside by a blue, which had hatched, virtually unnoticed, and darted unerringly to Vytende, I was looking for you!
Wrinkling his nose, the bronze righted himself, glaring at the blue, then moved to Blazren, He knocked me over!
The green finally made her choice, chirping at Vena. Were you hiding from me? she demanded.

Tollyth had stopped headbutting akai's legs, and insted had the robe in his mouth and was "dragging" her to the food. they finally reached it and he happly dove snout first into a bowl.
Akai shook her head as he began to chomb on the meat.
"Honestly Tollyth" she said with a laugh as he looked at her with a w.. what? expression in his eyes.
She jsut gitgled and got out a couple peices of meat for Kopi. she'd forgotten about hthe burning sands.. though now that she was calming down from the excitment of actually impressing, she realized her feet were starting to hurt. She must have burned them.
She was however carefull to keep the thoughts from both Kopi and Tollyth wanting them to enjoy there meal
"i wonder where we go after this" she said rubbing there backs getnly as they ate the meat
Sleep. It was hard moving that shell to get to you mine! Tolyth said as he devoured more meat and licked his snout. ALredy his eye lids were drooping a bit. Akai smiled and rubbed his eyeridge
"You and kiopi will definatly have to rest. You've both had a big day." Akai said as they went back to eating. She leaned back she'd examine her feet later..

Balint watched the bronze as he moved through the eggs and ended up standing side by side with his bronze clutch brother. They almost looked like the twin golds from Glith's last clutch but moments later the first bronze moved forward coming straight for him.
The bronze then stopped in front of him and attempted his roar again. The Bronze's voice rang clear in his mind as a wide smile spread across Balint's face. I am Math. And you are mine! Math said to Balint now to be known as B'lint.
Bending down to the bronze dragon B'lint smiled. "So Math. Are you hungry?" B'lint asked and Math shook his head vigoriously.
Yes! Can we get food? Math asked and B'lint smiled and nodded. Standing up B'lint led the little bronze Math off the sands over to the feeding tables.

There you are!! He knew instantly that it wasn't the bronze that had spoken, though how he knew he wasn't sure. A moment later, the bronze was sent sprawling in the sands as a blue dracling knocked him aside in his haste to reach Vytende. I was looking for you!! "Me??" he replied, startled. Sure, he'd been certain that he'd Impress, but to see a mere blue just push over a larger (and supposedly stronger) bronze to reach him!! Honored by this, Vytende knelt to pull the hatchling into a close embrace. Crooning, eyes whirling in a rainbow of color, the blue eventually changed his soft cries to a hungry creel. Your Averith needs food, the blue said plaintively. How long before I eat??"Oh!! I'm so sorry Averith. Of course you're hungry, having been so long in that confining shell," Vytende said in reasurance as he climbed back to his feet. "Though admittedly, I missed seeing you hatch from your egg." Really wish I'd seen that, he thought to himself. Need to do something about shortening the name now, too. How about V'ten?? That's a good name, the blue surprised him by saying. Thinking about it a moment, Vytende - no, V'ten - decided that Averith was right. Then the blue managed to surprise him again by saying, And as for seeing me hatch...... Suddenly, V'ten saw in his mind a great darkness, accompanied with a feeling of being enclosed in a very small space. After the impression of a great struggle, several cracks in the unseen thing encircling him allowed light to spill in....... ((Hmmm, must be interesting to witness the Hatching process from the dragon's point of view xd ))

Natelin watched in awe as the Hatching started rather quickly. There was that rolling egg and then suddenly a slew of hatchlings appeared on the sands and the boy was hardpressed to keep up with all the Impressions. He saw the brown Impress to a girl and then the bronze finally Impressed to another boy.
Sighing, Natelin glanced back towards the eggs. There would be another bronze in there. He was sure of it.

Neola had been standing near Alerai when the brown hatchling came running right towards them. Neosk! Oh, no, no. Not my poor dear Neosk. Images and memories of the old, beloved watchwher flooded the girl's mind. Her heart filled with sadness and dispair as she remembered that nocturnal creature.
She drew back from the group, almost drawing in upon herself. No. Why now? Why were all those memories flooding back, only to remind her of what she had lost?

Lirin...L'rin looked back as he obligingly popped another piece of meat into Ryneth's maw, noting that Balint had Impressed a bronze. "Congratulations..." he said quietly with a nod before turning back to Ryneth, marveling at the blue as he fetched another bit of meat. He hadn't realized just what sort of creatures these were...they were unlike anything he'd ever come across. And now he was going to be the rider of one...

"Come on, just a little bit further. Then you can relax and eat." A'ra coaxed as both her and Xanth moved out of the Hatching Grounds to where bowls of food where waiting for the new dragons.
Xanth found a surge of energy as she neared the food, and pounced on a bowl in her haste, dumping half of it's contents on the floor.
A'ra quickly grabbed up the bowl from Xanth. "You will chew, and swallow. I'm not going to have you choking!" All of the sudden A'ra felt like her mother.
I'm not your baby. But your my.... mine! Xanth stated matter-of-factedly as she swallowed the last of the meat she had been lucky enough to snatch before A'ra had taken away the bowl, and opened her mouth for somemore.
