Mythology is awesome.
Taking it as a course in college, rereading all the myths I grew up on, and getting credit for it is even more awesome. whee
(Some days I am really, really tempted to switch my major to Classics, because mythology + epics + drama = Greekgasm!)

March Mutsuyama See thats one thing I can't stand. The hell?!A Fantasy is a world of imagination, there aren't laws. So what if the wyvern has front legs or the goblins are bigger? D&D and LotR isn't like a rule booklet for anything fantasy. Hell i've seen ppl get mad because Cloud (FF7) could lift such a big sword. So what? It's fantasy, it's not real. There shouldn't be rule. Yeah Pegasus Knights are restricted to girls in FE. Why? it's like that, its the world. Druids can't control nature, but darkness. Why? It's just like that. And Wyverns have front legs. Why? Because it looks nice. That's all... Gah... Sorry for the useless blah. In the next game, (at least pictures Ive seen) theyve removed the legs. But It looks like someones done it in paint, so they look almost as if they have a form of support there >.< Plus they looked more serpent like. with sort of..cat fish whiskers if you know what I mean. I too used to read a lot of mythology. Norse and greek/roman mostly. This was a long time ago, but some still lingers in the brain.

I can't honestly say that I'm a mythology buff. The the extent of Greek mythology that I have ever read would be the Odyssey by Homer, and the Metamorphoses by some guy whose name I can't remember.
All that I know of Norse mythology is that Thor had a cool hammer and Odin was his daddy. (I think)
Otherwise, nothing.

Yoshi King Same here. I love many ancient cultures' mythologies. Greeks, Norse, and Japanese especially 3nodding It SOUNDS ironic that I'm not into Japanese mythology considering my nationality, passion for Japanese culture/fluency in Japanese and stuff, but I think I'm too immersed in cheap Japanese pop culture to appreciate the mythology. gonk Ahh!! *drowns* But I ******** love Norse mythology. By the way, Odin isn't Thor's father. Odin is the sky-father, relative to Zeus' role in Greek mythology, but entirely different representation. sweatdrop Thor the thunder-god is one of the five other major gods, the Aesir, and the strongest.

JDI Hey, Hector got broken badly. Something about being dragged around the isle if I remember correctly. Yeah, he gets his a** seriously murdered in the Trojan War, even though he was a great hero. =/ Kind of like how Hector dies in FE6... in both stories it's pretty ironic that he was the strongest not too long ago.

Preferred Classes: Blade Lord (Lyn) and General (Oswin). Lyn rocks who else can shoot arrows and swing a sword so skillfully, and Generals just rock espesly when Lyn cant hert something.

Well, he did kill Patroclus, and Achilles, for all that he was an annoying little asshat, was quite powerful too. Never underestimate the wrath of an angry lover. gonk

I know some stuff on Greek mythology. I've only been researching on it for fun for only... 4-5 years? My favorite god is Hades, except how they draw him. I wouldn't do better anyway.... And my favorite goddess is Iris! Goddess of Rainbows! I can just imagine her: Multi colored hair, glasses, ETC. I'm planning on making a manga and she's going to make an appearence! wink
