Kaleb squeaked and flailed a bit as he was pulled down, but once he got over the surprise he didn't even think of trying to get up again for any reason. He snuggled up close and sniffled a bit by Riley's neck, venting his worry in the quietest way possible, and reached up to rub his partner's ears some more.

He snuggled against Kaleb before he stilled again. He was comfortable now and warm and he didn't want to move, ever. Hopefully Kaleb would stay still and not squirm and keep petting him

Kaleb kept rubbing at Riley's ear until his hand ached, and then he just paused for awhile before going back to it. He didn't squirm out of his partner's arms for a second, not even to grab dinner or change out of his work clothes, those things weren't important anyway. Eventually he fell asleep as well, tired out from all the worrying and heavy lifting.

He slept peacefully though the night with Kaleb warm against him and the petting.

After hearing that Riley left the office in a rather sorry state he'd been sent to find the Turk and bring him back. Obviously he wasn't listening to his orders and was trying to get around things.
He didn't bother banging on the door. He had a spare key anyway so he just walked in.

Kaleb was woken up by the sound of the door opening and footsteps from the other room, and in a panic he wrenched himself from Riley's embrace and slipped off the bed to see who it was. When he poked his head out of the bedroom and saw Tseng, he sighed a bit in relief.

He noticed Kaleb after a moment and raised a brow. "That's interesting." He hadn't expect to see the other Turk here. Maybe there was something to what Reno had been saying. If there was he was going ot have to laugh about it.

Kaleb fidgeted a bit, not sure how to reply to that comment and expression, so he just went back into Riley's bedroom to check on him. The little mage was getting worried all over again now that he was up, and he had to reassure himself that his partner wasn't on the edge of dying or anything.

He walked into Riley's room after Kaleb and looked at the Turk curled up under the covers. "I take it you're the one who took him home then?" That didn't completely explain why Kaleb was still here but he could ask about that later.

Kaleb nodded miserably, not liking how Riley seemed no better than the day before. When he thought about it, his partner didn't even grumble or clutch at him when he got up, and that just made his fretting worse. "H-he wasn't doing so good, a-and I-I couldn't let him go home on his own..."

"He wouldn't have made it home on his own." He walked over and rolled Riley onto his back. The other Turk only grumbled slightly as he was moved. "It's good that you brought him but i can handle it from here. I'm sure you have things to do"

Kaleb chewed on his lip nervously as Tseng moved his partner. "N-no, please, let me help?" He fidgeted badly, almost close to tears in worry. Tseng didn't seem too concerned, but that was hardly a reassurance because Tseng never seemed phased by anything at all. "D-do you know what's wrong with him?"

"I have a pretty good idea what's wrong with him. It's nothing you need to worry about." He looked down at Riley. "I can take care of it. I assure you he'll be perfectly fine tomorrow."

Kaleb couldn't not worry about Riley, but there wasn't much he could say if Tseng promised him he would be okay. "A-are you sure you don't n-need my help?" he asked, not wanting to leave his partner.

"I am fine. I'm just going to take him down to my car and take him to his doctors." He nodded. "Nothing to trouble yourself over."
Riley was going to get a rather long lecture from Rufus later he was sure.

Kaleb nodded, feeling only mildly relieved that Tseng was going to take Riley to see someone who could fix him. His anxiety probably wouldn't go away until he could see Riley healthy again. "I-I'll make sure the door is locked after you leave," he said in a weak voice, he could at least take care of Riley's apartment if the job of taking care of Riley now belonged to Tseng.
