T.T some of the scenes change, I think. Not a lot of it.

Then your friend should play the game again. In SAB2 you can play as Amy Rose and Metal Sonic in vs from the beginning. You can play as Tikal, Chaos and the new Comical Chaowalkers.
Chao karate have been introduced in this game.
You can buy stuff from the Black market.
Also you can buy character themes from the black market(In dreamcast version, you needed to download it from the internet)
