Jeff sighed and clung to Yakov. "Oh god, you were...you were..." He couldn't finish the sentence for the fear that it might come true.

Kyle sat up and stared. "What could scare Jeff? He's like, super in charge and stuff."

Yakov wrapped his arms around Jeff, holding his head close to his chest. "It's alright. It doesn't matter. It wasn't real. I'm right here."

Jeff was trying hard to fight back the tears he felt welling up in his eyes, but one or two tears broke free.

Kyle didn't like the way Holly was looking. Anything that could scare Jeff scared Holly, and that scared Kyle.

Yakov tilted Jeff's head up and smiled weakly. "Hey now. Everything's alright."

Holly tilted her ear up toward the ceiling. "I think he's crying, but Yakov seems to be okay. He's probably taking care of it." She slid back under the covers and settled her head on the pillow.

Jeff sniffled back the rest of his tears and held onto Yakov. "I don't like this Yakov. I don't like these dreams, I don't like whats going in the world, let alone this town. Something so crazy wrong."

Kyle waited a second before sliding back down in bed with Holly. He face her and slid a piece of hair out of her face. He didn't know what to say but sighed.

There was a frantic pounding on the door of the house.

Yakov and Holly both jumped. Holly buried herself in Kyle pretending that everything would just go away. Yakov didn't quite have the luxury. "I suppose we should go see who that is."

Kyle put his arms around her. He didn't know what to say so he decided to stay quiet, again.

Jeff wanted to break something and cry at the same time. "Oh god, what now?"

When Jeff didn't answer right away, she kept pounding and yelling through the door. "Damn it Jeff, let me in before I break the door!" Kat yelled.

Holly unburied herself. "She knows Jeff...and..." She sniffed the air, crawling over Kyle to get herself closer to the door. "She is definitely a wolf."

Yakov rolled out of bed, grabbed pants and through pants at Jeff. He ran downstairs and threw open the door.

Kyle shook his head as Holly climbed all over him. "You could get up and say hi you know?"

Jeff was slower than Yakov at getting himself together. He made it down the stairs as Kat rushed into the room. She was panting and looked horrible. Her clothing was dirty and torn, with nothing on her feet. When she saw Jeff she flung herself at him, a hard feet seeing as how she was almost two feet shorter than he was.

"Wrong? How does someone smell wrong? Like didn't bathe in a week wrong or mentally unstable wrong?" Kyle was confused as ever. He sat up again and was making his way out from underneath Holly.

She let go of Jeff and her face became stony serious. "Well, we figured out that I can keep my wolf around but I have to be bit, which sucks like hell, every couple months, but even then she is always waring with the vamp dna in my blood stream. So we've been trying to stay private but they wouldn't leave us alone and now they found us out and Curtis had to take the girls and get to safety but I had to warn you, and without changing right now I'm at the weakest point of both halves of myself. It's like having voices in your head but not." Kat continued to ramble aimlessly, making little to no sense.

Holly put a hand on Kyle's chest. "Shh." She lept over Kyle and pressed her ear against the door.

Yakov disappeared and quickly reappeared with a blanket and a glass of water. He hands the water to Kat and threw the blanket over her shoulders.

Jeff took Kats hand and led her to one of the couches and sat her down. "Kat, darling, calm down and start from the beginning again. Slower this time. Remember I'm the slow one here, so dumb it down for me." Jeff tried to smile at his lame attempt at joking.
Kat found herself leaning in closer as Jeff spoke, but pulled her hand free of his before she did anything stupid. She drained the glass the water and took a deep breath, which she really didn't need but it wouldn't hurt.
"The town, the people, they found Curtis and I out, well me. I don't think they knew what Curtis was. At first we thought it was weird that the girl scouts and boy scouts and 4H and all those groups kept showing up at our door. But by the time we figured at they were being used to get info on us it was too late. We didn't really have too much time to do much but get the hell away from home. Curtis took the girls to a safe place, I'm not sure where, but its safer this way. I had to double back, make sure they had stopped following me, before I could warn you."

Kyle stood up and shook his head. He walked over to Holly and stared at her.

Holly put her finger to her lips, reminding Kyle to stay quiet. There was no way she wanted to miss any of this.

Kyle rolled his eyes. Being human, and unable to hear a single thing, he did what his dad had taught him to do, be blunt and to the point. Kyle reached out , turned the knob, and yanked the door open. He smiled as he walked out to the group of people. He was surprised by how small and innocent the little girl looked. Wait no, she was about his age? No. Maybe a little bit older? And she was gorgeous. Beyond beautiful. He couldn't take his mind off of her. He stuck out his hand in greeting and mumbled a soft 'hello.'
Jeff shook his head and tried not to laugh. "Forgot you were still here. Kat, this is Kyle, my soon to be cousin in laws boyfriend."
Kat didn't hear a single word Jeff had said. She had been doing alright trying not to chomp on Jeff or Yakov, but they were wolf and half of her said never to bite another wolf. But here was a perfectly fine and health young human, with the stench of sex all over him. It was like Christmas day all over again. Kat took his hand and in the blink of an eye had his neck at her mouth and easily broke the skin with her fangs.
