Nadia confidently flasked her potion and placed it on the desk as she walked by. She was walking out the door when something caught her ear. 'What was that?' she thought to herself as she looked around to find what caused the noise. Finding nothing she left the room to catch up to Gwin and Leah. Seeing as Gwin was looking around she said to her curiously "Did you hear it too? The soft scratchy noise?"

Realizing that her next period was free, Lily walked out onto the grounds. She settled herself against a tree and pulled out a book, with no intention of actually reading it. Lily gazed at the lake with glazed eyes, as if looking past it. She sighed in frustration as a certain obnoxious marauder's face popped into her mind.

[What do you think? xD ]
James gave Sirius the Look. "My mouth was firmly shut, thank you very much!" He said, a bit indignantly. "And as for her not being worth it, I take great offense at that, Mr. I like the 'one girl in the castle who despises me!" James added, bunny ear quotation marks included. He stopped and turned to his friend, serious look on his face. "Look man, I've got eyes, I can see." The twinkle of suppressed laughter came back into his eyes. "So before you start lecturing ME on hopeless cases...." He smirked.
Leah's face scrunched up into a terribly offended expression. "Excuse me? Little miss...." She trailed off, her gaze following Gwin's. "Watcha lookin' for?"
Kailyn smiled a small smile in return before setting her potion on Slughorn's desk. She had never had trouble with potions, and had done this last year. (The classes that Kailyn generally had trouble with were Divination, and Herbology, actually.)

"Lily Evans, what in the blazes are you doing, think about him like that?" she reprimanded herself sternly in her mind. "I DON'T like him," she muttered. "I don't... right?" she said warily. "Right?"

Sirius hesitated for a second. "Well..." His brain was temporarily jammed, and his mouth hung open slightly, making him look remarkably stupid. "Mine's not hopeless," he told his friend airily, glancing behind him at Kailyn. "She'll come around." Oy. This sounded familiar. "It's just because she's in with that crew that she doesn't like me. Yeah. Peer pressure and whatnot." He jerked a thumb at Leah, Gwin, and Nadia.

"Oh, right. Even though she's just met them, for gawd-sakes!" Retorted James. "Any of this starting to sound familiar to you, Padfoot?"

Well, yes it was. Almost uncanny, actually, how familiar it sounded. But Sirius would sooner give up everything at Zonko's over admitting defeat. "You're just bitter about the daisies," Sirius told his friend with a smirk.

Gwin a disinterested huff, that sounded distinctly like, "Rat." even though her eyes instinctivly swept once again around the room. 'Cat-like, very cat-like.' taunted a small voice. "Shut it." snapped Gwin under breath, turning to face the door. She looked to the Rogues, then focused on Leah. "Aren't you going to lead out, oh great and fearless leader?" Gwin asked in a playful tone.

Lily argued mentally with herself for quite sometime unitl, finally. she came to a conclusion. "I do like him!" she gasped in a hushed tone. "But I've turned him down for years. I can't let him find out that I'm just now noticing this," she said stubbornly. Lily walked determinedly back to the school and up to the common room. Falling unceremoniously into a chair, she stared into the fire with a blank expression.

Nadia shurgged. "I guess no one will answer that question," she said to herself. "So are we going to exit the class room yet?" Nadia said with a hint of tease. A bright smile on her face. "Because next class starts soon and I don't think being late will be a good idea." She said as she walked past her friends towards the door, her hair wavering with each step. She turned around to her class mates and gave a sweet smile. "Are you coming or are you going stay in the potions class all day?"
As Nadia said this Rockelle was running past the door. She did a quick double take and tried to stop but slipped instead across the door frame. She stood up quickly and stood under the door frame. "Hey guys. What are you up to?" Rockelle was a bit out of breath. And not giving any of them the time to answer she said "Well, I'm not going to hang out in the potions class room all day so I'm off. Nice to see you all again." Rockelle ran around the door and leaned back so only her shoulders and head could be seen and waved goodbye. And she was off again.
"Like she said, I don't want to hang out in the class room all day so. . ." she paused. "Can we go now?"

Gwin gave the 'heap big sigh' and thundered out of the room, only to be nearly bowled over by Lorian. "Rocky! Get back here this minute! I'm going to fum your fum if you don't- AUGH!" screamed Lorian, patting Gwin on the shoulder as she pelted by. "Nice shoes, by the way." and off she went, skidding around a corner and after her friend. Gwin had managed to nimbly jump back, knocking into Nadia in the door frame. She gave a huff, and pushed off of her, clenching her fists. "Rockelle isen't the only one who'll be 'fumed' if I catch up to-" Gwin trailed off angrilly. Did life ever just take a minute to calm down? Apparently, not at Hogwarts. Gwin indeed did consiter chasing after the girls, noting that it was the same way the two Marauders had meandered off to. Then again, pelting after two spy Hufflepuff like a lunatic may not be a good idea for the Rogues' image. Instead Gwin chose to roll her shoulders and crack her neck, before wincing, and rubbing the back of her neck. She looked at Nadia, and shrugged. "I don't mind being late," she smirked "but DADA is one of the more interesting classes of the day. Shall we?" Gwin grabbed Leah's shoulders forceably, and scooted her in a none too gentle way, out the door. She glanced back at Kaylin who seemed a little smug for someone who had just come out of Sluggy's classroom. "Well, as much fun as it is to look like nerds, excluding Nadia," Gwin said bitingly, yet with the same banter that insured that they all knew she was ready to get a move on. "We should get moving. Serpent's Pass?" she asked Leah. The Serpents Pass was an amazing course of tunnels and secret passageways around the school, handy for if you want to make a quick exit, or short cuts to class.

Leah shook her head vigorously, almost like a dog's, and ducked out of her sister's hands. 'Alright, I'm here now, let's go. Serpent's Pass, and boy do I have a treat for you guys!" She crowed, leading the way into 'Dungeon 12', aka the entrance by the potions room. Leah, by the way, had been thinking hard. Yes, inspiration has struck, and She's got a plan....
James waved a hand. "Bitter perhaps, but that's not it man! We both know that you have the oh-so-gryffidorian quality of never giving up, or shall we say, never admitting you're wrong? But come on, let's get to class." James was going to have to think this through a bit. I mean, I can't just have one of m'best mates falling for a Rogue! It won't do, and there'll have to be a way to break it up.

Professor Zatanna Chloe Trenway adjusted the window shades to let a little more light in the room, then sighed as she watched the student file into her classroom through half-closed lids. She was of course, still reclining in her chair, feet on her desk. Professor Trenway was not like many other teachers, and her teaching style was completely her own. The students coming in, for the most part, kept their voices down, appearing as it did that their professor was dozing.
This would be the sixth year's first year with her, as she insisted on only teaching the upper years, complaining that the younger grade's ignorance cramped her style of teaching. Her fingers twitched, resting on her wand. Suddenly, the door slammed shut with a bang, the windows shutters clattered shut, locking with a definable click. The room was very dark now, but if you could of seen, you might of noticed the Professor's mouth twitching into a smile, and her eyes still half shut, roving the room to see how the students reacted.
She always did something very unexpected at the beginning of the year, to 'test the constance of the class', 'in order to confirm the direction of her curriculum'. Aka, she wanted to see if her class could take what she intended to throw at them. This class was Gryffindors and Ravenclaws- An interesting combination, in Trenway's mind.
