She sat down and waited patiently. Her tail wrapped around her paws, the very tip tapping in rhythym against the ground. I'm not sure what he thinks... Perhaps that I'm a male and I plan on killing his members...? Tch.

Ling moved with lightning speed to the exactly location of the...female??! Ling blinked and moved cautiously towards the female. "What business have you with my pride...?" He circled her as she lay there, his large, two-toned body moving with all the grace their species was due. Since the fight and the drama prior to, Ling had made a vow that he would be more careful about his pride, guard them more, judge character deeper that he had in the past.

She watched him, eyes moving, but the rest of her form not, "I am passing through. You are the king, I assume?" Her voice sounded uninterested and basically apathetic to the situation as a whole.

"I am, and since you are mearly a wanderer, I leave to you to introduce yourself if you see it as fit." He would not get personl, He was the king and that was that. She did not need a name to go along with his face, not at this time. "I will excuse my earlier anger with you merely on the account that you caught me at a bad time." He took a deep breath, his chest puffing out slightly as he continued to circle the female.

The multi-colored lioness smiled at Nuri weakly. Leaning on him again, abit more than she had been before. She had heard the roar of her king and that had sent a shudder up her spine. He was not pleased. "I wonder...what has him so mad?" She stopped in her motions, becoming perfectly still, scared. "Nuri...I think...I think we should stay here for the night. Ling, the king, he doesn't sound like he wants to hear more bad news." She turned her head and turned her scared eyes to Nuri. "Please Nuri...just one night...?"

Pandora rose, her tail sweeping out form around her now in one quick motion, "My name is Pandora. I've seen far more things and lions than you will plan on seeing in your life, most likely, and as such, I apologize for anything I say or do that may displease you. However, I speak what I think, since I think as kings as equals to myself, since I am queen to myseld and to the land I tread on." Honorifics and pride rules were below her, as were most kings. Which isn't to say she ignored them completely. She used them to get what she wanted if she so desired anything. However, if they gave no promise, she left without a word to them.
That only occured at a few of the prides she had visited. It depended on the king and the members of the prides. She did have morals.

Nuri frowned and nodded, ear and nose to the wind. Ling sounded just this side of livid. He sighed and looked down again to watch Pastel carefully. She looked tired and very afraid. Smiling gently he nodded again. "Yes, I think that will be all right. Let's find a comfortable place for you to lay down." He licked her cheek to reassure her then glanced about.

Pastel was more than greatful when Nuri agreed to rest here for the night. Ling didn't need any more bad news, and she didn't want to be the one he released his anger on. She sat there on the ground, her eyes on the stars for a long while before she turned her head to Nuri. "What do you think had the king so mad Nuri?" The female moved closer to the green and purple male, her side running along his as she rested her head on her paws.

Nola grinned and walked with him. "Lets go to the water front. Maybe we can scare some water fowl or something." She laughed and then looked at her mother before walking out with the grey lion.
Adelle smiled as they left and then sat down near the queen. "How are you doing Xia dear? Can I do anything for you?"

The king listened to her words, arrogant as they were. He shook his head, his mane ruffling abit before he looked directly at her. "You have shown me respect by annoucing your presence, but you arrogance disturbs me." One dark brow rose, the other lowering as he sized up this female. "You have a big head on your shoulders, Pandora. Pride is something that I encourage, arrogance is not." He took a step away from
(Pandora is rubbing Ling the wrong way me thinks)

"I am not sure," Nuri replied thoughtfully. "Perhaps it was all the stress he has been under lately, or..." he turned to smile at her, "perhaps, as he mentioned, he was feeling protective of his cubs." The night sky was a great calming force for Nuri, it's great protective blanket of darkness reaching out overhead. At night when colors faded away, his own fur became a nebula separated from the rest of the firmament.
A cool breeze whipped up from the distant river-fed lake. Concerned for Pastel and her own cubs, he leaned closer, protecting her from the wind with his body.

The lioness snorted quietly to the king, "Am I arrogant or do I just live for myself?" He was already getting on her nerves, which was almost a record time.
((She has a very.... interesting personality. I intended her to be a difficult one to get along with. She's easily identified as a "strong female figure" nowadays...))

Ling sat back on his haunches and watched the female. Perhaps her diffinition of arrogant was differnt, but it was arrogance all the same. "I would say arrogant, but seeing as I do not know you..I cannot fully judge." He growled low in his throat.

"By calling me that, you are being arrogant yourself." she sat as well, facing the king squarely. "This is getting us no where. I didn't come to waste time with idle chit chat." Her tail curled around the front of her paws again, her feather gently caressing her right hip. "I need a place to stay for awhile to rest up." She twitched her nose, as if slightly detesting the idea of having to stay here. "I don't expect to stay for this short amount of time without offering my help, though. I'm a decent enough huntress, and I do not cringe at the idea of staying and watching the cubs." Her muscles tensed, "But do not think I intend to worship you as an all mighty king, though I will not speak ill of you or kings in general aloud. I have no intention of turning those in your pride against you. I will keep my opinions my own. I just wish for a place to rest a few days before continuing on." She put all of her ground rules on the floor before making any committments. She didn't want to get killed because she had failed to explain something.
