I went to a friend's house last night and we sat around drawing for a few hours while watching Michelle Gandry(sp?) videos <--Very, VERY strange man...--> and I realized that my art skills have taken a nose dive into the realm of terribleness. xd I guess its like they say: Practice makes perfect!
Just to give everyone an idea of how strange Gandry's videos were...He did a music video for an artist called Bjork (song Army of Me) and it comprised of one scene where the singer goes to see a dentist...and the dentist is an APE! Yes, ladies and gentlemen...an ape...and it looks in the singer's mouth and finds DIAMONDS! mrgreen And then it has a look of sheer excitement and shock on its face that made me collapse on the floor. Ah...good times. biggrin

I recentley purchased the Director's Label boxset that includes the work of Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham, and Michel Gondry. Michel Gondry is a genius (I still have to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) but I'm in love with Cunningham. If you thought Gondry's Bjork video's were strange you should see the ones Cunningham made for Aphex Twin. As well as his own Bjork video, which is not so much weird is it is just haunting and beautiful. So much heart I had no idea you drew Ash, I wanna see sad

I sent a PM to the owner of that contest I mentioned earlier telling him about that entry, although I felt somewhat bad since I was sort of ratting someone out. x_x I'll keep you guys updated on what happens.

Chances are what was going on in her videos (the ones made by Michel) had nothing (or very little) to do with her lyrics. xd But they were...interesting. biggrin
