Yakov collapsed against the side of the house. He managed to hold on for a second before sobs over took him. In what sick universe should someone be allowed to spend the day planning their wedding and their evening watching the love of their life get fed on by a vampire who's being hunted by an entire town, the same town that would probably be after them if they knew... "s**t."

Kyle looked in horror at the wounds on his neck. Well the wounds themselves were healed by the bruise was huge. "What the hell did you do?!"

Kat was on the verge of tears again, "And without Curtis here to bite me, I'm going to turn back into a full vampire!" That did it, she couldn't help it, she was crying and sobbing and unable to control herself. Jeff just held onto her the best he could. He didn't know what to do or say.

The look in Holly's eyes threatened to set everything in the near vicinity on fire. "ME!!"

Yakov ran upstairs and carefully came back into the room. He sat down next to Jeff and Kat. "Kat, I hate to ask this, but is it possible that anyone followed you?"

Kyle dropped the mirror. As it shattered he cringed away from Holly in fear.

Kat took a second to gather herself. "There were a few of them." Hiccup. "Thats why it took me so long to get here." Sniffle." I had to throw them off the trail." Sniffle. "I lost them down in Twin Falls, then backtracked up here." Hiccup.

Kyle stared at her for a second. "One minute I'm shaking some chicks hand the next I wake up with no one around but you in wolf form. What am I supposed to think?"

"I'm so sorry! I would have been here sooner if I had had time to feed, but I didn't want to leave a trail and i don't like feeding on anyone but Curtis!" The apologies just kept pouring out.

Kyle didn't quite comprehend. "What? I thought you meant like just a weird person. Wait. So she did this?" He pointed to the bruise.

Jeff sighed. "Kat don't worry. You got here in plenty of time. I think what you need is a bath and some clean clothing." He smiled at Yakov. "Well I think you are stuck with the shower downstairs."

Holly threw her hands up in exasperation. "Congratulations Kyle, your life just got weirder. You've been vamped."

Kyle couldn't believe it. "But...wait...I thought you said she was a were? And why don't I remember anything?"

Yakov couldn't help it and laughed. He smiled at Kat. "A little late to ask, but would you like to borrow and knight in shining armor? I seem to have one just itching to be useful."

Jeff rolled his eyes but Kat giggled. "Thanks, but I have one already. Somewhere." Kat's smile dropped off her face.

Yakov put a hand on Kat's shoulder. "You'll find him again. But until then you'll have to settle for mine, slightly defective though he might be."

Jeff stuck his tongue out at Yakov. "I am not that defective." But he smiled as they made it down the stairs.
Kyle looked up and over at the stairs when her heard Jeffs voice. Kat was tucked up in his arms against his chest. She was so tiny!
