Goddamn, it's raining ice out there. My whole car/front yard is coated in it. stressed

ach, you're getting hit too. :/ we got blindsided earlier today and lost our power. which was fine for awhile until the cold started seeping in. and the lack of lights caused me to knock over kerosene lamps and slam into garage doors.

but eh, worst is over now and it'll all melt away soon enough. :>

We don't lose power; we just get snowed/iced in. stressed !!

You knock over kerosene lamps? xd That doesn't sound too safe.

peh!! lucky you. gonk only my street lost power. ~_~

xd ; apparently i was "flailing around" and knocked one over~ but nothing happened. although when i tried to pick up the glass part that had fallen off, i burned off my fingerprints on my right hand. but the good part is that chances are it won't happen again, as i'll be more graceful around the things. xD

AD>> I would tend to side with you on the practicality of Hanson and Shotguns. What's funny is the fact that you have a show (of the animation genre) where a father and his daughter are sitting on their front door steps, then a bus shows up in their neighborhood with "Hanson" on the side. The daughter shows this look of sheer joy and excitement! All three memebers Hanson come out and ask for directions (or the phone...something of that nature) and Peter screams, "Holy crap! It's the children of the corn!" What follows is him pulling a shotgun from out of nowhere and firing three shots.

xd Ah...good times. biggrin

Langley>> Wire hands? AD envious of your syllabus? You being bored with classes? I must know more... ninja

Oni>> Well, if you don't think of me as a college person...then here's another shock for you...I'm a senior with two semesters left. biggrin

axel - Your natural reaction to darkness is flailing? Nice. xd

You burned off your fingerprints, though?! o.O

Ashram - Ah, so you're going to be a Super Senior. I'm graduating in the spring.

Yes ma'am, that I am. It would be nice if I could graduate this semester, but I still have to do my practice student teaching. neutral

Ah, so victory is so close you can taste it. biggrin What are you majoring in?

Ashram - Student teaching? You're going to be a teacher, then?

Psychology, regrettably. I chose my major out of desperation and now I can't think of anything to do with it. Oh well. xd

Yes, I'm going to be a teacher, but not in this country. xd It's teaching English in either China or Japan for me. biggrin

Psychology, eh? Interesting...there is a lot you can do with that. Probably more than you would think. I took a class called "Intro to English Studies" and on the second to last day, we had a person from our College Career Department come to class and give us ideas on what we could do with an English major. I tell you...I was amazed at the potential and the versatility.

If you haven't already, I would suggest going and talking with your Career Department and ask for some ideas (or a list) of things you can do with a Psych major. Off the top of my head...you could do councilling(sp?) or therapy. Hmm....I wonder if businesses would like a Psych major for public relations...

Anyway, you'll find something, you just need to know where to look first, I guess.

In other news...I made a journal! xd

Yay!!

Oh...wait, that's considered a bad thing, right? (darn my ignorance towards snow)

Boo!!

So what exactly is considered "conventionally fun" in the mind of the Lang? Chasing squirrles?

And what is this wire hand that is being spoken about? gonk

Yes, snow = HORRIBLE.

Conventional Lang fun = Reading art history text books until you fall asleep. Studying old style paintings/architecture.

And the wire hand... ughgh... it was a project that I had to do in my 3D Design class.
We had to construct our/a hand out of wire so that it had "articulation points".

... bleh.

Aie...sounds challenging. surprised (and tedious)

Ah yes...reading, reading, reading. We do that a lot in college, no? (this past summer I did a lot...A LOT of reading...anywhere from 40-80 pages a day)

I would think studying old art and architecture would be interesting, at least for a while. Let me guess, it started out as interesting but slowly became painful. Right?

We just had a cold front come in last night. No snow, but it went from 70-80 degree weather to about 50-60. (Of course, that would probably be considered warm from your standings xd )
