"Okay, what;s wrong with Haru?! I mean, honestly, I never said he was my boyfriend or anything! But you act like you disapprove or something silly like that!" said Shinobu incredulously. "I mean, I don't lecture you about Koh, his posture is fercious, his eating habits aren't very charming, and someone his age should wear a shirt."
Shinobu grinned, she may have sounded old-fashioned, but atleast she was giving her sister a taste of her own medicine.
"But, I really don't mind Koh, the only reason he's ever given me to... dislike him is that time he tried to set up me and Haru and left me in that," she coughed, "uncomfortable situation. So I beat him up. But, other than that, I don't mind him, he tries hard, that's what important."
Not that Shinobu didn't enjoy talking with her sister, but dicussing their love lifes wasn't exactly deemed suitable topics by Shinobu, so she decided to change the subject with haste.
"I can see the sun high now, another hour of this, we'll be to Nozomi village, and we can stock up a little rice and other supplies there. This won't be a short mission, so... rope, flint, grappling hook, mines broken, and definitely some bags of rice." she said, listing off the 'groceries' on her fingers.

[Yay, first post.
Also, I really must pat you two on the back, Jashu and Vanslaz. You two are really carrying the pages along in the roleplay right now. I mean, Kelwyn, Perilous and Lirdianc update now and then, Lifes, Miku, and Rurik can be found, beans still up. But, really, right now, you two are booming around here. It's awesome. I LOVE how well our 'second' favorite siblings are getting along.

Aoki just looked at her sister confusingly and shrugged. Aoki didn't seem to mind when her sister brought up her friend.
"I just said that he is really never there to see you, thats all. I didn't mean any harm by pointing it out. And about Koh." A kind of mistly look came to Aoki's eyes, a bit a calm look she usually didn't have. " I don't think we should care about what others do or wear. I think it's kind of... Superfitial. Things like happiness and laughter are a little more important to us... We only have each other, right? I think it's stupid if we argue over something as petty as clothing."
Glancing at the sky again, the little gurl tossed her bamboo rods onto the side of the dusty, now muddy road. Swaying lightly from side to side, Aoki sighed and smilled.
"So tonight, I'll sing a song to all my friends... Sing Shinobu-onee, you know the words... Also to those, we won't be seeing again. To those I knew, and those I still adore, and I want to see once more. I just pray that you will love me, trust me..."

Shinobu rolled her eyes. Her sister allways took her jokes way too far, almost as if she were doubting her sister's integrity not to judge others from a simple retalliation joke. Then again, she could tell Aoki was still rather self-centered how she acted about relations. Quick to doubt Shinobu's, but so defensive of her own.
Shinobu knew that so far in this conversation she had not yet defended Haru once, merely questioned her sisters interest in it. She understood how her connections to Haru had flaws, she could admit that. Everything was flawed in some way, shape, or form, but it seemed that Aoki couldn't admit that.
It could be, however, that Shinobu couldn't see her sister's true colours, it was obivous that all she knew of her sister were what she said and did.
The mind link meant nothing without a mututal connection. Something her and Aoki were currently lacking.
"Well... I'll try to fix that..." said Shinobu quietly, hoping that, if anything resulted of this mission, that would come to pass. That she and Aoki would establish a bond beyond teasing and arguing.

[Since the count of monte christo is originally a french-based story, the name wouldn't be changed. I heard it from Mahiro Maeda [the director] himself in an interview. So... ya, who cares anyway? Reply dood.
I despise when people post a meaningless little blip but not the important roleplay... ]

Aoki just shook her head. "No, I-I guess it was kind of an odd subject. Guess I'm kind of... Jealous that Haru sees more of you than I did for these past few months. Thats the only reason I spent any time with anyone else though. Koh, Suki, Yue, even if for just a moment, I honestly only became close friends with anyone else is because of Haru." She laughed slightly. "Total irony honestly."

"I guess I should actually be thanking him. But it's just instinct. Jealousy. Like over-protective-ness...Ness." Aoki stummbled over her words for a second, trying to make the word sound believable. " Well, everyone has a bad habit. I guess yours is being over-protective of me, and being jealous of those around you. And bickering... We bicker a lot." Aoki laughed.

Vanslaz Tao placed his left hand down on the ground bending backwards and kicked up with his left leg to connect with some part of Suki, he continued with the kick and ended up doing a back-handspring-like-thing that set him in front of suki but back about 7 feet or so. Tao popped up and ran towards suki again, but instead of doing a straight-foward attack this time Tao punched with his right arm to suki's torso and rolled with the punch, spinning around to a position behind Suki around his right side. Suki's mind ran rampant. He had to some how impress Tao, "Just this once," Suki thought to himself. Previous attempts at his apraisal from Tao had resulted in failure. As his mind thought and thought, Suki knew that he could never defeat Tao, as he was the best fighter he had ever known. When the fist entered his gut he seemed unable to respond for a while then flankly doubled back. Then he spun sweeping Tao's legs with his right leg, counter-clockwise. He formed his arm into an elbow position and thrusted the side towards Tao's neck, leaving his other hand open. (( Just making sure, but you made the punch hit, correct?))

Tao saw the leg coming around and hopped up, bringing his knees up to his chest to avoid the leg. But when he saw the elbow coming towards him he brought his fore-arm up to block it, it being a bare forarm it stung with the blow from suki's elbow. Landing on the ground he hopped back and smiled.
"That was good Suki, the only thing else I could have done was to jump away entirely."
Had Tao been armed however there were a great many other things he could have done, but this was just unarmed, so he didn't bring up the topic until the sparred armed.

Suki braced back again, it wasn't much like himself to go on the offense. He was a strategic thinker, always thought through his decisions and brought the best answer up front to himself. But of course, he isn't given the time to think out in the battlefield. He stared up at Tao, happy of his acknowledgment.
"Armed fighting next then Tao-san?" His head was held proudly in the sky with his eyes closed.

Shinobu grinned sheekily.
"Atleast we can both admit our negative qualities. I'm sorry I'm so overprotective of you Aoki, I just want you to be happy, either as an intellectual and mature woman trapped in a young ladie's body, or an eternal child. Whatever it is that you want, I don't mind..." she droned off and joined in with her sister, although stuttering over words she scarcely remembered.
"You and I were lovers.
Our dreams were not
...soured by life.
And then my friends'
...be- betrayal
meant you never would be," she coughed, "my wife."
She giggled softly.
"That song's meant to be sung by a man, you know." she said giving her sister one of those looks.
"You know... I can't believe we still remember that song... we must've learnt it back before... well... before we can remember... before all this happened, it must be special, hmm?"

"Tao-san, Suki-san, good morning," Tomoyo said politely, slinging the case off her back and holding it lightly in her two hands. She barely knew Suki, other than the fact that the quiet boy was Tao's younger brother. She hadn't thought him to be the sort of person that wanted to fight, but...Tomoyo mentally shrugged. Appearances could be deceiving.

Tao looked to the side, keeping an eye on her and an eye on his little brother.
"Good morning as well Tomoya-chan."
He said smiling. He walked over to a bag he dragged out and rummaged through it.
"Here I have a training version of virtually every weapon imaginable. Choose one to suit your style... or whichever one feels best when you hold it. We'll work from there."
Tao chose two replicas of a pair of 9" short-swords. His hands working best when they were working together and at the same time. Tao looked at Tomoyo and didn't forget her.
"Have time for a morning spar, Tomoyo-chan?" Tao said, taking his 'working-uniform' off, well, the top part anyway. He shook his hair down, his bangs falling in his face. He still wore his leggings and the skirt thing... (need to study that pic some more... xP)
"You can use your sword... the wounds will heal in a day or so.... as usual."
