o________O;; what's this about a Lang x Nyome collab auction? @___@
meh, dunno how it'd work. XD I'm completely paranoid about being considerd a "colorist" @__@ rather than an "artist" cuz I already know my lineart is failing horribly. gonk And my proportions and stuffehs are way too off for Lang's eyes to deal with. ~__~
As far as styles go, it's not that drastic of a difference as COULD be. Not very hard to integrate.
Maybe in the future when I get better. heart

Question: After looking at the art of Nyome, Lang, and others...I just have to ask...How in the world do you people get the colors and their shading to such levels of precision? I mean, I'm looking at some of these pieces and thinking I can almost feel the colors.
Now I just recently got a hold of PhotoShop, but, truth be told, I have no idea where to begin learning. (Which is why I have not been experimenting with it very much) I'm the kind of person who has to be given a few "helping hands" before I can begin to do something new. So, if anyone can either: a) Give me some pointers towards the manipulation of PS or b) Point me towards a site, person, etc. who can give me some instruction...I would be most appreciative. biggrin
Nyome>> Although I am clueless as to what Shiro is talking about when he uses the term "lineart," I can definately say that your style(s) are very crisp and clean. The colors are incrediable and appropriate for the pieces I saw. 3nodding (Your proportions don't appear to be off at all...at least on the pieces I saw sweatdrop )

I'd have to agree with Nyome, just like me, we need to work and practice more on proportions.
at least Nyome already has a defined style to work with, I dont even have that! gonk I just tend to emulate other people's styles, you see any of my galleries and you can tell from all the different styles in the pictures xp
Nyome has the coloring part done with already though blaugh
Ash - When i got PSP I just went to google and typed for tutorials, also in the How to run an art auction etc. sticky in this guild there are links for tutorials too. And I believe everything comes with experience.

Ashram > Line art is just the original uncolored drawing/sketch/etc. 3nodding I'm pretty nooby and photoshop retarded (took me a year to find the "line" tool...) But if you want to ask questions or you'd like to get started with something, PM me and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge.

I think there should be a mini-dictionary reffering all the common terms used by colorist/cgers and artists alike for those who are just starting out. 3nodding

xd Shiro yelled at me for not stalking people's journals. Nobody stalks MY journal, why should I stalk anyone else's?
I'm gonna be a super-senior too. Stupid Mononucleosis. <.< I had to spend a whole extra year in hellhole ECU (aka E-Z U) because I got mono at the end of freshman year and didn't have enough complete credits to transfer the next year. I finished all my classes with As and Bs the next month. I ******** HATE college application processes.
Bah, snow. The K-12 schools here never plan enough snow day, adn then we have an ice-storm and use 5 snow days and they take away their whole Spring break. WTF? It has been like this for 5 years. GIVE US SOME MORE ******** SNOW DAYS! Luckily, I have been out of that system for 4.5 years.
Nyome - Actually, I was saved...I found a shop just starting up made of entirely Natural media artists. That's what I like to draw...with my markers. This way, I can have a shop in R&C, with other people so I don't have to bump myself all the time. And, the people that come in will be people who are interested in real media art. This makes me happy. ^^
AD - no more Secksay Deli Artist? xd
Lang - the stomach on that Noraboo pic fascinates me...o.O *stares*
I would love to work at an office supply store. I would probably spend my whole paycheck there tho. xd Laminator, bright white paper, cardstock...sheet after sheet of laminating clear thingies...@_@ oooooh
Nyome again - hey, your non-colored headshots sell right well, missy. I think your proportions are fine... but if you want to get better at proportions, then you're gonna have to start drawing more of the body! xd I know you hate that...anyway, of the samples you showed me way back when, I think they looked good. o.o
