"But what if he is part of the reason Kyle is poisoned in the first place?! I have a house full of people I'm in charge of. People I love!" Jeff had his hands on Yakovs arms and was trying hard not to shake him.

Jeff stared into Yakovs eyes. How could he be calm at a time like this. "I'm sorry it's just...I...I saw you dead this morning....and I can't loose you Yakov! I can't!"

"And you have done everything you possibly could to take care of everyone in this house. What were you supposed to do? Leave Kat outside to die on our doorstep?"

"No!" Jeff was shocked that Yakov had ever brought that up. "No, I just, maybe we should keep the whole being bit by a vampire thing...you know...out of the loop." Jeff was trying to figure out what he really wanted to do. "Um, I don't know. I don't have a clue."

Yakov sighed. "I hate to say this Jeff, but we have to tell him. He's not going to accept some half-assed story...not when its his own kid. Your choice without the vampire is that his werewolf girl friend bit him and he had a bad reaction. And Holly would kill you if you said something like that."

Yakov gave Jeff a bit of a smack. "Finally." Yakov smiled. "You're a bit slow when you're upset, you know that?"

Yakov lifted Jeff's head and forced him to look him in the eye. "No, we should let them know that Kyle's dad is coming. They don't need a warning cause Kyle's dad is not going to be involved in harming his own son." He kissed Jeff quite soundly. "And if you don't stop your sulking I'm going to have to start being in charge of this house. And no one wants that."

Jeff smiled slightly. "You're right." He took Yakovs hand in his own and headed to the shower, where everyone was conveniently located.

Jeff rolled his eyes and opened the door. Kyle was still groaning and Kat was still unconscious and both of them were still in the shower. "So, his Dad is on his way here. We are telling him the truth."
