Haku-men materialized with Emily and looked around to make sure it was safe before he stepped away from her. He then held up his hand as it began to glow black. He then snapped his fingers making a portal open. Suddenly a figure flew out of the portal as it hissed closed. The man grunted as he hit a tree. Dante growled as he stood up while rubbing his head, "Geez uncle did you have to push me through?" Haku-men chuckled. Dante looked at Enily and tilted his head, "Who's the girl?"

Emily stumbled a bit as she found herself transported to an entirely new place. "You gotta teach me how to do that!" She smiled softly. Emily loved the forest. She looked the new boy up and down, "I'm Emily" She had never met a demon before (even just a half breed). She glared at him and crossed her arms, he was gonna need to work to gain her trust. Angels and demons don't mix usually. She sighed and looked to Haku-men, well if he trusted him then she would probably grow to trust the new guy as well. Besides he was Haku-men's nephew. Does that make Haku-men a demon too? She thought quietly to herself

Haku-men smiled, "Im due time. First were gonna start slow. Dante here will see how strong your powers are." He waved his hand to his nephew which made Dante give Haku-men a questioning look. He chuckled, "Im teaching her how to a strong half-breed like you." Dante nodded. Dante rotated his shoulders a bit, "Well whoever you are its nice to meet you. My name is Dante and i'll be your.....test dummy so to speak. Right now were gonna see how strong you currently are so hit me with your best shot."

As the demon boy braced himself, Emily finally got a really good look at the new guy. The fact the he was kinda attractive was not going to help Emily focus her powers. She took a deep breathe and stretched out her arms palms out towards the boy. She summoned up as much power as she could, creating a small, but dense ball of rock in her palms. Then she summoned up her fire elemental and lit it, creating a white hot ball of fire in her hand. Her eyes were shut and her face was scrunched up trying to summon as much power as she could. The ball of fire and rock grew until it was almost the size of her, but when she attempted to propel it towards the demon boy it crumbled and almost all of the flame went out. She ended up only hitting him with a few pebble sized hot rocks.

Dante took a defensive stance and was actually impressed at Emily's magic with Earth and Fire, but he frowned as soon as she tried to throw the fireball at him. It fell to pieces before it could even reach him. He brushed off the little pebbles, "You need more focus. Magic cant act on its own even after it leaves your hands. Magic is an extension of your spirit. Watch." He held his palm out and he began to collect rocks until the rock was as big as him. He then lit it on fire just like she did. He threw it in the air and after it reached 40 feet in the air he closed his palm making it explode. He smiled, "Although my main element is lightning magic like that is easy for me."

"Show off..." She muttered under her breathe, with a grimace on her face. "It's not like I'm not trying! I was really focused and then I just got... distracted." She turned away and crossed her arms over her chest angrily kicking at the dirt. "I just don't do as good in front of other people." The only time she really did good in front of other people was when she was mad at them." She turned back to Dante, "Okay I'll give it another shot." Again she failed, "Ugh! What's my problem." She kicked a tree in anger, then groaned again in frustration (and pain) holding her foot until it stopped hurting.

Dante smiled and walked over to Emily. He gently took her hand, "Your trying to hard. Just relax. Let the magic come alive in you." He stood behind her as his hand stayed on her's. His gold eyes were focusing on their hands as he began to concentrate his magic in to his palm. It got warmer as he then focused it in to her hand, "Think of it as alive. Tame it. You can already do it. Your body already knows, but your mind doesnt. Just concentrate."

The fact that he was so calm just made Emily more frustrated. She shut her eyes, breathed deeply, stretched out her arms again (palms out) aiming towards a large old tree. She knew there was absolutely no way she could take it out, but maybe she could make a dent. Emily stood very still, and felt the wind blow past her. She completely forgot about everything around her, except for the tree and herself. She focused and felt the magic flow threw her. She formed a tight ball, about a foot in diameter, but far denser than either her earlier one or Dante's was. The flame she summoned was brilliant, white hot and so bright. She let out one more breath and it flew to the tree, got halfway through and Emily threw her arms open and the ball exploded, leaving only a deep crater in it's wake.

Dante smiled as he watched Emily build up magic and was even more surprised when she actually shot it. After the smoke cleared he looked at the crater then to her and nodded approvingly, "See? If you could learn to control it you could be very powerful. Probably as strong as me." He winked before he rubbed his chin. He looked at Haku-men who nodded and snapped his fingers returning the landscape back to normal. Dante kissed her hand, "Very well done."

Emily grinned and jumped up and down in excitement, she had never really shown her powers so well in front of everyone. So now she had a witness, she really was powerful. When Dante kissed her hand her entire face went red and she giggled stupidly (at that point mentally slapping herself for being a giggling idiot). She smirked and adjusted her glasses, "Well, I guess I can be pretty good." She turned away and grinned to herself; she gathered a few smalls stones and spun them around in the air above her palm. "I just need to relax, but I can't just stop and breathe for five minutes if I ever actually get in a battle. Well, practice makes perfect I suppose."

Dante chuckled and let Emily's hand go. He tilted his head as he watched her levitate pebbles above her palm. He made one of the pebbles float over to his hand where he crushed it to dust. He opened his hand and watched the dust swirl in a circle above his palm. He smiled, "Magic is usually affected by emotions. If your not calm then something could go wrong. You could hit yourself or one of your friends with your own spell. With a little more practice you'll be able to pull those moves off with no problem." He closed his hand on the dust and reformed the pebble. He tossed it back to her.

She smiled at Dante. Maybe demon's weren't so bad, after all. She caught the pebble with her magic and let it float down to the ground with the others. She nodded as he spoke about hurting others, "Yeah, that's sort of why I ended up here... Fire it's just so hard to control. Once it gets going it just doesn't stop." Emily sighed and pulled up her sleeves, her arms were covered in burns. "It really is hard to control, once I get mad, y'know" She sat down, leaning against a tree. "So if you're half demon, we shouldn't get along since I'm half angel. Have you ever met a full demon? or a full angel? I've never met a full angel... Not like it'd be hard to miss or anything, wings and stuff. I've always wondered why I never got wings. But never mind I'm rambling now" She smiled softly to Dante.

Dante nodded, "I have. Ever since I came to this school all iv met is demons, angels, and alot of other things. My uncle over there used to be a Cerberus, but he gave his blood to someone else and became Death...or the Grim Reaper. Which ever you want to call him. Its probably because your half angel. Im demon yet you dont see me with red eyes, pointy teeth, and bony wings do you?" He winked and chuckled.

Emily laughed, "Nope I don't, I guess that explains the whole no wings thing on my part. I hope I can meet an angel while I'm here, maybe they can help me with my powers too, but I'm just glad to have you to help right now. I should be getting back to my dorm, the sun's starting to go down. Maybe I'll catch you another time." She walks back towards the school.
