Well, you know, I do hope they find a gene therapy cure for that disorder, they very well might within your lifetime. You are young so you may well benefit from that. It is nice that you have doctors that are willing to work with each other on your meds, that can make a big difference in how you do. Bipolar huh? BPI or BPII? Either one is not a good state to be in. This should be the "Discuss your disorders and meds thread". Hehe.

lol it should be. I am type II, and what's considered an ultraradian cycler I believe it's called. Basically I cycle in hours or days, instead of weeks or months. Upside; can't get too manic or too depressed, there isn't the time for it to deepen. Downside; it's exhausting.

Upside; can't get too manic or too depressed, there isn't the time for it to deepen. Downside; it's exhausting. Sure, I am familiar with that. *psych rotation* Yes, II is better than I since I can be a real downward spiral as far as functioning goes, sadly. Well, right now I am having major anxiety, but it is situational. My oral exam for board certification for the American Board of Neurophysiologic Monitoring starts in 3 hours. I need to do some last minute review. So...I better get cracking. Ttyl. Maybe I will have passed by the time I post again. *crosses fingers and prays* I think I will perform a quick online puja.

Things went pretty badly from my perspective. It is hard to be objective, but there were many questions that I had difficulty with in the second half of the exam. One of the examiners was very unfriendly, rude actually. I was asked questions that had nothing to do with my knowledge base. He asked me how I would handle monitoring a surgical approach I had never even heard of, it was absurd. He ******** asked me what I would tell the surgeon to do in a certain situation...I told him, "I am not a neurosurgeon and I don't pretend to be, I would never tell the surgeon what to do". Yeah, I am pretty sure I failed. Luckily I have 3 years to pass it.

i got a 1250 on my math/reading sat's and a cumulative of 1750... i am grounded until march sat's are over - my bestie is now mad at me because i canceled plans for the 4th straight time and all my friends think i am psycho because i am studying enough as it is and that the scores are ok; when indeed there are unacceptable, as far as my mom and family and i are concerned... basically... things have officially went downhill...

I am sorry your bestie is mad at you. Why is she mad at you? I am puzzled. You did really well, what's up? I mean why is it unacceptable? Why are you into scores anyhow? Meh.....Before you answer me and explain about your family and you and all your expectations and all that stuff just stop. I have heard that part. But when you got the score of 1750, were you surprised? That is all I want to know. Were you surprised or not, yes or no? If you answer more than yes or no I wont read it. xp

At this point, she thinks that i am avoiding her, for one reason or another - i don't have a phone to explain why this is occurring; all she knows is i bombed my SAT's D;. Don't kill me for answering the scores issue in four words: college scouts pestering me. I honestly was not surprised whatsoever. O.o''

Ouch, that always sucks when that happens. I hope they find one that works for you soon. May I ask what the meds are for?
