Yakov smiled. "I know. The teasing just kinda got interrupted earlier. I wanted make sure I was clear."

Jeff leaned in and carefully kissed Yakov. He pulled away and smiled, "Crystal clear."

Kat sighed, "I can dream." She gave Kim back to a reluctant Kyle, "I'll be back soon, then I can relieve you of baby duty." She smiled and hurried off to the kitchen.

Yakov pulled Jeff back into a kiss, but a few moments later pulled away groaning. "s**t, I hate healing breaks."

Jeff frowned. "I hate seeing you in pain."
Kat wandered in and sighed at Yakov."What did I get you into?"

"I wouldn't be so sure of that. There are plenty of hate groups out there. Not just the run of mill racist s**t. We're talking hating everything that isn't white and male. Including us." Kat jumped up onto the counter to sit down. "The girl who changed on the TV earlier this week looked familiar but I couldn't place her. Thats when all this s**t started." She leaned her head back against the cabinet thinking.
"No, this stuff started before last week. I mean, you, Luka, and Connor were kidnapped and I was poisoned. Who knows what happened before then." Jeff shrugged trying to see how any of this made sense.
Kat slid off the counter and landed in a heap on the floor. She propped herself up and staring up at Jeff and Yakov explained her epiphany. "This started before then. At least two years ago, more like 20. When Jonas and I were born. This has vampire written all over it. Why didn't I see it before. The vampires didn't come out, just the weres. And the girl on the TV, she...she was there two years ago. I remember her face..."

Yakov was not exactly in the mood to deal with the end of the world again. He got up and began to hobble out of the kitchen.

Kat sat up and banged her head against the back of the cabinets. Why hadn't she thought of this before?!
Jeff stared at Kat for a second then registered the fact that Yakov was leaving without him. He got up and quickly caught up with him, "Yakov, are you alright?"

Jeff sighed and looked saddened. "Do you need help?"
Kyle was trying not to stare at Jeff and Yakov or listen to their conversation so he distracted himself with the babies. Now they were both crawling all over him in an attempt at his hair.

Yakov was trying not be grumpy, he really was, so he took a second before answering Jeff again. "I'm just gonna go try to sleep this off. The less bone healing I have to be awake for the better." He smiled at Jeff. "A hot bath would have been better..."
Holly was ignoring Jeff and Yakov completely and was on the floor, clutching her side, giggling hysterically at Kyle.

Jeff nodded with a smile, "I'll be up in a few minutes," he kissed Yakovs cheek then ran back into the kitchen. "Kat, stop that!"
She stopped banging her head and looked up at him. "Jeff what are we going to do? They're vampires, they are going to find us sooner or later then send their human toys after you all."

Kyle groaned, "Holly you could help! Argh!" Christine had put her tiny fist into Kyles mouth and grabbed onto his teeth. She giggled and gurgled happily as Kimberly continued to pull on his hair.

Yakov slowly made his way upstairs, stopping every couple steps or so to relearn how to breath. He eventually made it up to bed and carefully crawled inside. He hadn't really planed to sleep, but the climb up the stairs had exhausted him and he was out instantly.
