Samuel doubted they could ever be truly satisfied. There was probably something to be said about the amount of time they spent indulging in one another, but he wasn’t bothered by it to look into it. He was amused by Micha’s options and honestly wanted them both. He kissed him a few times before releasing, promising him more later. One of the perks about being the owner was that he knew all the best hideouts in the club. Some he wasn’t sure even most of his staff knew about. Samuel sat back, almost expecting some sort of teasing. But Micha merely slipped out of his seat and returned to his own.
Reaching for the fry basket Samuel took a small handful. He glanced across the table to see Micha sipping on his drink and looking out at the crowd. Following his gaze it seemed as though the majority of the people were back to their normal activities and enjoying themselves. Samuel watched them dance and drink and sing. He smiled to himself as he looked back at Micha.

He wasn’t surprised that Micha hadn’t wanted to return to his seat. Frankly, he didn’t want him to either. If he’d stayed there Samuel couldn’t exactly trust himself to behave. Already he had felt the familiar need to touch him and he would not have been subtle about it. He would have to make it up to him later when they finished their drinks. As Samuel sat there, he watched the crowd a moment. He too, was glad that no one was watching them, or if they were, they were doing a better job about making it so obvious. They sat quietly a moment, just eating and drinking.
When Samuel returned his attention to Micha he couldn’t help smiling. The question that soon followed was to be expected.Samuel hadn’t been thinking about just one thing in particular, but several things. Right now at the very top of that list was just how happy he was. Today had been a bit more rough than usual, but they still managed to get through it. ”Something cheesy.” he admitted without going into details. Reaching across the table he held out his hand, palm up.

For any future club dates he would have to remember to get Micha’s name on the VIP list. If for any reasons, the tables were bigger and there was more privacy to be found. Not that he was completely hating the confines of their current table. If anything, it was keeping him from doing anything too indecent. He wasn’t entirely sure the same could be said about Micha. Sitting in silence, Samuel wasn’t too concerned. He was happy, and his thoughts echoed that feeling. When Micha questioned him he wasn’t sure how to answer. It wasn’t as though he was focused on just one particular thing or memory. He was honest though when he answered, however vague that might be.
Reaching across the table he held out his hand. He waited a moment before the man pulled out his own. His fingers curled around his hand and he squeezed softly. ”I was trying to remember the last time we shared a drink together…but I kept getting nostalgic and instead, I was remembering all times that you would sit at the bar and talk or flirt with me while I worked.” he said, glancing at their hands.

They didn’t always flirt that much in the beginning, a lot of the time it was one sided, with Samuel trying his hardest for his attention. But every now and again Micha would say or do something that made him feel like he had a chance. He didn’t blame Micha for having trust issues back then. To him, Samuel probably came off as someone who was far too cocky and on occasion, too persistent for his own good. Especially for someone who was still in the closet.
Holding on to Micha’s hand he gently squeezed it as he reminisced. He watched Micha smile and soon share his own experience. He recalled that date as well and the terrible way it ended. He too was unsure what had caused them to fight. ”I remember that one…isn’t that the same night I accidentally told you I loved you?” He replied. He wasn’t entirely sure so he didn’t linger on the thought before continuing. ”I do know we were drinking cheap beer and you were flirting the whole game.”

It was hard to explain why he tried so hard in the beginning. Even Samuel had admitted that Micha wasn’t the kind of guy he usually went after. He’d caught enough of Micha’s attitude back then that it should have been a turn off, instead he had taken it like a challenge. For some reason he had been so determined to get to know him. It hadn’t been his intention to fall in love, but he didn’t regret that he did. The things he did regret were some of his stupid mistakes made and being the cause of more than one fight. Those things he sometimes wished he could change.
Samuel tried to recall more from the date. In the beginning they had gone on a fair few, but time played with his memory and made it difficult to remember the finer details. Some of their dates had been one right after another, and he worried about mixing dates and time. But this one in particular had been going well. He remembered for the most part that he was having a good time…so why did he leave? As Samuel tried to remember, Micha interrupted his thoughts with his reply. He saw the smirk he wore as he recalled the way Samuel had backpedaled on his wording. ”I probably was already falling for you back and just didn’t realize it.” He replied. ”So taking it back and correcting myself felt safer.” Lifting their hands, Samuel turned them over to lace their fingers. Despite his horrible first admission of love, it had somehow worked out for them in the end.

He had learned the hard way that he would not so easily get his way with Micha. His usual approach would not work with him, nor would buying his affection. No, he had to prove that he actually was interested. It had been hard to get to know him, and there was probably more he could stand to learn. Samuel wasn’t always the best talker, but he was learning. He hoped by that by doing so he proved to Micha that he was not the same arrogant pest as when they first met.
Samuel couldn’t take back what he said or did back then. He knew in some way he had hurt Micha. But the next time he said it, he had meant. Just as he had meant it only moments earlier when he said it again. He turned their hands around after explaining himself just as he did before. Samuel smiled lightly as he laced their fingers together. He stared a moment at their hands before looking back at Micha. His silence did not go unnoticed. ”You know, I always wondered what would have happened if I hadn’t taken it back. I know it was still early but…” he let his voice trail and gave a little shrug. He then smiled as he finished. Samuel wasn’t trying to spoil anything either, so far he liked their little trip down memory lane. He thought it was nice to look back and see how much they had grown together.

It hadn't been his intention to upset Micha by bringing up the past. He knew that not all of their memories were happy ones. There were a lot he wished he could do over again, make it up to him. Since that wasn't possible the best he could do was learn, change for the better, and be a better boyfriend for the present and future.
Samuel watched Micha curiously as he remained silent. He tried not to think too much on it as he spoke again. It was hard not to wonder what would have happened if things were different. Would they be different? Still together? Those kind of thoughts scared him and he couldn't bring himself to finish his own thought. Shrugging lightly Samuel looked back at their hands. He heard Micha speak and nodded softly. He was quiet a minute or so before sighing. Turning their hands, he pressed a soft kiss to Micha's hand. "I'll never take it back now." he promised.

The fear that Micha felt was similar to his own. There wasn’t a day that he was gone that Samuel didn’t feel something for him. He was angry with himself for a long time, and a lot of it was misplaced. Samuel often thought about how he would react and what he might say if Micha ever returned. However, life had a way of never following the script he made up in his head. Almost none of the lines he came up with were said and he wasn’t pleased with the way he acted. It was just another moment he wondered how it might play out if he had done things differently. He tried not to think about it too much because he couldn’t be certain that they would be sitting there now.
There was no reason for Micha to fear him now. Even though he sometimes lost his temper, he had no plans of leaving him. He was too invested to leave him. He cared more for Micha than he did for any other person and tried his best to show him as much. He knew in the beginning he wasn’t that great at expressing himself or showing affection, but now he told Micha he loved him as often as he could and showered him with affection. Samuel loved seeing him happy and hearing him say it back to him.
As they sat in silence Samuel soon sighed and moved to kiss hand. He made a promise that he would never go back on. No matter how mad or upset he might get with Micha, he would never stop loving him. He lifted his gaze to find Micha smiling at him. He smiled back at him as the man teased him, swearing that he could almost hear the part left unsaid. ”I wouldn’t ever dream of it.” He replied. With his free hand, Samuel picked up his glass and gestured toward Micha before taking another sip. He didn’t want to think about the day Micha may no longer love him. The very thought brought a cold and unpleasant feeling to the center of his chest. He took another sip to drive it away.
