"None would offer." Blaze had never spent much time in the Pride to gain friends. Leanna would stay away from her vision quest and no others she knew. Xiao she did not count, as she had only carried news of her sister.
Ducking out from under the massive paw, the liger bowed and turned away. She would go to her place, where the elements merged and take of her quest there.

She felt serveral eyes upon her..some looked with disdain while others curiosity. That didn't matter much to her now seeing as her daughter would be on a vision quest. Her heart filled with joy at the young one taking up such a demanding task for her, but Leanna knew the ligeress could do it. She looked down slightly noticing the bulge in her tummy. After Blaze had left, she had a feeling that everything would hit the fan pretty soon...whatever the consequences held for the lioness, she did not regret the actions she had done. She tail feathers slightly twitched as she began to fidget where she was. She felt butterflies rise into her throat as she started to worry, eyes seeming dart about for answers of oncoming questions. What would he ask? Would she be able to rebuke? How would she be able to cope? Would the pride members dislike her, even if they didn't like her before? Would she be outcasted never to be seen in this pride again? The magenta pushed these thoughts from her head. Again, she told herself, no matter the consequences, I do not regret my actions...

Once the young ligeress was out of ear shot, the king moved passed his mate to stand before Leanna. He leaned down, his nose pressed near her, scenting her, smelling another male on her. "You've been busy Leanna..." His eyes narrowed but his lips curled into a grin. "Were you planning on hiding this fact from me??" He lifted his head, shaking it once, his mane whipping about his pale face.

Leanna shook her head in a horizontal manner, her eyes slightly wide with a mix between shock and confusion. "No, King Ling. I was merely waiting until you got back to tell you." She looked up into his eyes once, but then back down. "I apologize if this upsets you..." Her ears slightly lied against her skull in an upset manner. Was he ashamed and disappointed in her? Was he going to toss her out to fend for herself? No way she could go back out to the desert...

The king fell silent and listened tothe female's words. He was uncertain to if he could trust her or not. Had she really intened to tell him? After all, she said nothing when she left, she said nothing when she abandoned her post. He sighed and lowered his head the slightest bit of shame running through his body. "I will not pretened that this does not distress me Leanna. Things have been rather...chaotic as of late, and as they go I do not see them changing any time soon. When you vanished for that time, the others had to pick up your possition as well as their own." He sat back on his haunches and took a deep breath. "Who is the father? Another king, or a rogue wanderer?...is this...male your mate...?"

She looked over at him. "I thought I wasn't needed...others had seemed to have taken up my post..in my persepctive...I just thought that things were alright here...the cubs are nearly grown...and..whats the use of me then?" She took time at his question and grew a bit more comfortable. "The father, yes he is a king off in the deserts. His name is Mika'il...and yes he is my mate..." She was thankful for her reddish pelt hiding the flush along her cheeks. Her left ear slightly twitched as she slightly fidgeted on her haunches leaning to the left side mostly.

"Yes, the cubs are nearly grown...but I would like to be told if you are leaving. It is not required...no...not in the least, but out of common curtousy I would be delighted if you told me..." The king watched her as she sat there, his eyes focused mostly on her bulging belly. "Will I have the honor of meeting this...mate...of yours Leanna? Surely he will not let you stay here forever...or did he have done with you after your first time??" He knew he was being blunt, but he had to know what to expect. A fellow king coming to his land could be taken two ways. He could be recieved as a guest...or a threat. Ling had to be prepared.

She understood the way he spoke to her and she nodded. "Yes..I should off...but something inside me just told me to go...told me to stray..." She couldn't explain it herself, but what was done was done. At his question, she didn't hesistate. "If I call Mika, he will come for me. He might take some time since he's far off..but I'm sure he will come for me if I call." Leanna looked down at her belly and placed her right forepaw upon the side then back down on the ground. "The thing is...he doesn't know I'm bearing his cubs..." Her eyes shifted toward the entrance slightly as she moved over to lean on her right haunch.

"So your king does not know." He sighed and nodded. "And he let you return to me without a second thought?" He took a step towards Leanna, his body circling her's, his head coming close to her, scenting her fur. "Will he come to claim you Leanna? Will he come and steal you from me?"

"Even I did not know I had conceived until a few days ago. Mika'il let me come back because I told him that I had duties to uphold to this pride. I was not fully free and that...if I ever became able I would return to him, but it seems that he has to come and claim me..." This time, Leanna did not hesistate to look him in the eyes. "If need be, Mika will do anything to keep me at his side. He will come for me if I call for him..." Her left ear twitched slightly as she now stood fully on her feet. Her tail slightly dragged across the dirt behind her. Her belly was near to her elbows now and she thought she felt movement, but it must be to early. Or is it? Lions grew at different times...did this mean that lions conceived and gave birth at different times as well? Now was not the time to think..she needed to concentrate on the here and now.

The king took note of the power her words and in her glance. He knew she was in love with this other male, that he would claim her, be it a fight or trade. He hoped that it would not come to a fight. He was still healing from the last one. "Leanna if you truely wish to leave us, There will be conditions. This is not the same as the last fight, this is another king taking what is rightfully mine...you came to me, now you go to him, I cannot let this go, you understand this?"

"I understand this, King Ling." She bowed to him lowering her gaze to the floor. That step up was risky, but something within her was wanting to get it out. The fierce love she had for this lion was a slightly unusual feeling...even to her. "I just hope that no fighting comes to this...for both of our sakes, King..." She gave a gentle sigh and lowered herself back on her hind legs. She was growing slightly tired, but she hid her fatigue from the King.

The trek across the desert had been a long one. Throwing caution to the wind, Mika had traveled through high noon and cold night to reach the borders of the oasis. He could wait no longer to come retrieve her. Surely by now all her matters had been handled. The only looming problem would be her King.
The rose and tan adult shook the water from his pelt, lapping up some more. A small pond had been found inside the lush greenery and he had rested for a moment. Her scent was stronger here and he could follow it to the border of the large Pride.
There were many here. He could smell them everywhere. Flicking his tail back and forth he contemplated announcing himself.

"One can only hope your new found king is no fool king." He moved away from the female and towards the enterance of the cave. fell to the cool eath, his body tired, so very tired from the excitement of the day. He could only hope that things would calm, but in the back of his mind he knew that to be a fool's wish. It would never happen.

The young male paced the border, glancing inside. He was eager to see Leanna again yet... This King would surely wish for a fight and not a agreement. Mika'il had nothing to give him, his Pride being small enough as it was at the moment.
Travel across the desert without rest afterwards would not leave him well prepared. The Desert King turned away from the border and sought refuge under a small tree.
He would rest and eat first and confront the King in the morning.
