Slowly, slowly, Hollandaise dragged the table over. A lock of hair hung in her face and she blew it irritably out of the her eyes. A splinter was working its way into her thumb, but she would not stop to pull it out. She needed to be useful, to matter, to do something. And that was why, even though she felt her weak muscles burn with exertion, she levered the table up and tipped it over.
She did not stay to watch it land. She had to do more.

Although she was small, Hollandaise immediately gravitated to the largest thing she could find. The barrel she could at least roll, even if her thin arms protested. She paused a moment and re-secured her bow and arrows, wanting to make sure she would not lose a thing. Hollandaise grunted and placed her hands on the barrel again.

Something soft and... squawky landed on her shoulder. Hollandaise reached her free hand up to touch feathers and a small smile curved her lips. It bokbokbok'd near her ears and began to poke about in her hair. Well, she decided, it could just come along then. Hollandaise wondered if they were all from Camelot's kitchens. It seemed odd that there were so many chickens on the ramparts. And now, she noticed exactly how many there were. A lot.

Faster, she had to work faster, and that meant grabbing lighter things. This barrel was easily lifted and Hollandaise balanced it on her shoulders as she ran.

Something came rushing at her and she slipped. The barrel dropped and nearly hit the ground, but her arms shot out at the last moment. Hollandaise did not pause to look at what had swooped down at her; she still worked with blind determination.

The hay barrel was rolled neatly down and down and down. Hollandaise was nothing if not horribly efficient and it landed exactly on top of the table and barrel she'd tossed off before. She tried not to look too hard to the chicken remains - all that wasted food during a siege.

She was staring at her hand as if he'd just turned it to gold. He reached out and squeezed it. "Oh, believe me, my dear. Kissing has quite the skill level. And I am ranked the highest there is." Bragging was also a side effect of drunkenness.
