In the Garden of Monsters
Kiani was not pleased, but she still had the oran berry and she knew that it had some healing properties. Digging it out of her bag, she gave it to Lily, hoping it would provide Lily with some healing. However, she also didn't want to keep Lily in the battle and risk losing her. She was at a loss, but she was also determined. Kiani waited to see if the Oran berry would help Lily out.
There were no peaceful road trips for her this time. As Jin-Hua glanced at the pile of pumpkins, she was debating what to do. Should she find a way around it or try to climb over it.... (Was the risk really worth it or was she about to die a horrible death?) Well.. no time like the present to experience a new challenge. That in mind, she started to attempt to climb over the wall of pumpkins.
Swinging over to the other side of the wall, Jin-Hua would surprisingly not find herself falling to her doom, nor landing in a pumpkin. Instead a pair of big strong arms would catch her. Was this her hero? Had her prince come at long last to whisk her away? ">Peek-a-boo~!<" Nope. Staring down at her with an unsettling grin would be the Gourgeist from before, the Ghost-type gently placing her down on the ground before proclaiming ">OooOooOooOoo~!<" Wiggling his fingers as he phased through the wall of Pumpkins. Mysterious!
Either way the Ghost was gone, and Jin-Hua was surprisingly unharmed!
As the boy and his Mudkip would take their first steps, luck was not on their side. A Pansear emerged and as soon as he saw the kid and his pokemon would grin evilly. This was just great! A perfect day for him! The pokemon stepped into their path, preparing to battle~ He loved having to fight humans and their pets. This fire monkey was a natural bully~
Surprisingly a pokemon came to her rescue! It was the pokemon from before! Even though she didn't understand what he said, she waved and yelled her thanks to him~ Releasing Longwei, she then continued on her journey.
Jin-Hua looked relieved when she spotted the sleeping Woobat. She began to walk slowly and carefully as to not wake the pokemon. As soon as they were far enough away, she could walk normally.. well as normally as she could with a limp. It was time to continue onward!
Tao watched as a pansear had gotten in their way. Well, it was certainly better than fighting a grass. He was certainly intrigued by the fact every pokemon he encountered thus far had grinned when they saw them, minus bird and hooded monty python dude. He pointed with a painfully shaky finger, "Alright, Meren. It appears we have our first fight. Let's start with a barrier!"
Meren nodded in understanding and began concentrating. She was attempting to create a sheild of force to protect itself.

Mudkip [F] Meren, Lv 2 Nature: Timid Bio: Meren was given to Tao just before being shipped off to Akumu academy. She hands a good amount of teamwork to Tao, as she is very obedient, but she never stands up for herself. Her introversion might have been caused by some sort of abuse prior to meeting Tao. Meren is unsure of what to think of Tao so far, since the only experiences they really share is a boat ride and a pokemon battle. Abruptly Jin-Hua would feel a light weight on her back as something grabbed her shoulders, the next second the world around her blurring. Looking back she'd find an Abra had fallen onto her back, and now it seemed it was taking her for a trip! One could wonder where the Pokemon's Teleport would take her!
The Pansear let out a laugh. This boy thought his pet could defeat him? What a joke! The monkey then charged, surprisingly light on his feet as he would try to start this battle off by low Kicking his opponent to the ground!~
Jin-Hua quickly recalled Longwei to his pokeball after she felt something grabbing onto her from behind! The world was starting to blur and she was wondering where she would end up this time~ Was this going to be a good or bad trip? (Nobody knows!)
Meren had lost focus at the laugh. The Mudkip, however, held its ground at the oncoming Pansear. The Water-type decided it would jump out of the way at the last moment.

The Pansear looked irritated. What luck the Mudkip had. Ah well. Time for him to continue. With that being said, he lunged forward ready to stomp the pokemon into the ground to eat the dust and dirt that resided there!
