He rubbed his eyes with one hand and looked at Kaleb. "Join the club ...." He yawned. "Are ya just gonna stand there or are ya gonna get in here?"

Kaleb sniffled a bit more as he climbed under the covers and curled up next to Riley, but even that closeness and warmth didn't make him feel better.

He draped an arm over Kaleb's middle and rested is muzzle on the other's neck. That was better. Something nice and warm and something solid beside him was much better than a pillow.

Kaleb wiggled backwards, trying to get closer to his partner in the hope that it would make his homesickness go away. It didnt, so he rolled over and nuzzled against Riley's chest, but that didn't help either. He sniffed miserably and rubbed at his eyes, trying to think of something else he could try.

He sighed as Kaleb moved around and for a bit tried to ignore it. "Does this mean that i'm gonna have to go through one of those portals and sleep in yer bed?"

Kaleb nuzzled against him again and made an unhappy noise. "I-I d-don't want t-to make you," he said, even though he knew having Riley sleep with him at his own apartment would probably fix both his problems.

"If i don't yer gonna fidget all night am i'm not gonna sleep either." He didn't really want to walk though one of those portals but at least he could lay down after it.

"S-sorry," Kaleb said quietly, sniffling worse as he got more distressed. He didn't want to make Riley uncomfortable, and the guilt he would feel for asking his partner to follow him through a portal in the middle of the night would be too much for him to handle at the moment. "I-I c-can try not to fidget..."

"Kaleb ... just make the damn portal." He'd get over the dizziness after a bit and then hopefully his partner would sleep and stop whimpering.

Kaleb paused before nodding, and then he slipped out from under the covers to conjure a glowing portal next to the bed. "I-I'll m-move some books," he muttered with another little sniff, before stepping through and leaving the portal open for Riley to follow once he was ready.
On the other side, the portal was right next to the bed so Riley would just be able to flop over and not worry about actually having to walk anywhere. The little mage set about floating the small piles of books off the other half of his bed. It was smaller than Riley's bed to begin with, and they would definitely need the space.

He eyed the portal for a bit before he walked though it. It wasn't as bad as the first time Kaleb dropped him though one but he defiantly dropped down onto Kaleb's bed the moment he was though it.

Kaleb wasted no time throwing the covers over Riley and snuggling up against him, completely comfortable in his surroundings for the first time since going to bed. It was a little odd to have Riley there in his bed, but it wasn't a bad thing at all.

Kaleb's bed wasn't as comfortable as his, probably because he wasn't used to it, but after he curled around his partner it wasn't that bad. At least it meant that he'd get some sleep.

Kaleb gave one last relieved sniffle and licked Riley's muzzle before closing his eyes and pulling the blankets tighter around him. He fell asleep in no time at all.

He fell asleep not long after Kaleb. He wanted to make sure that his partner was actually sleeping and wasn't going to wake up again and start squirming around.
