 He who dares__________________________Miles Libertatis Eric and Miles were relieved to hear that Noira had no plans to attack them. Their relief was short lived however, as Divine quickly appeared on the battlefield in a streak of black lightening. Divine was acting strangely. Even though he attacked, he didn't seem as serious about it as he could have been. Eventually he stopped fighting altogether and allowed their teammates attacks to hit him without resisting. He accepted a particularly brutal assault from Herald when suddenly Mirai appeared, interrupting Herald's attack to kill Divine herself. Miles watched Divine fade away with a sense of relief. "We got him," he whispered to Kasumi. "One of the DWMA's greatest enemies is finally dead." Although he had never fought Divine personally, he had heard how powerful the being was. But it seemed even he couldn't survive being destroyed from the inside out. Miles looked down at Kasumi, allowing a small smile to form on his face. "It's only a matter of time until the City is ours," he told her. "We can go home soon." Eric's reaction was slightly different. He was overjoyed that Divine was finally dead, but Mirai had created a new problem as soon as she had solved one. There were few ways Mirai could piss off Herald more than she already had, but despite that she had still managed to find one. "Mirai! It's like you're TRYING!" He yelled angrily. Hopefully they'd be able to stop Herald before he ripped her guts out.

Never Again...Herald grinned as his attacks tore into Divine. This is what he had been waiting for for so long! He would tear Divine limb from limb and - He stopped in sudden confusion as Divine seemed to take one final blow, but it wasn't from him. He looked down to see that Mirai had stolen his triumph at the last moment. He was too shocked to respond as Divine gave his final speech before fading away. His shock didn't last for long. "You little B***H!" He roared, as he stood over her, the super-heated air around him would still make it hard to breathe and the green, burning energy around him swirled even faster in his rage. He redirected all his energy at once, the green energy swirling towards Mirai like a storm ready to engulf her. At the same time he turned his blazing green claws on her launching multiple slashes, each one carrying the power of an 18-wheeler colliding at full speed. Will I be bound in chains

Michi had to stop herself before staring at what happen - at first, a very shock expression until it change into an emotionless one tossing Ina up so she'll go back into her human form before it glazed over to a new scene. "...The beast got butthurt because someone took his kill. Pathetic..." Michi stated the comment in a blunt manner, not caring if everybody heard. "Plus, you two aren't helping in this ******** situation!" Groaning heavily as she places her hand on her shoulder before snapping it back into place cursing lowly.

- Max - Meister If life is as short as you say it is... ---------------------------------- Before Herald flames were able to burn and tear Mirai apart, a fire ball flew in and countered his flames. His clawed slashes would be stopped by a barrier engulfed in flames to cushioned the force of the attack. Max emerged from the fire as a look of extreme anger filled his face. b*****d... He gritted his teeth as the barrier formed around them stained against the claw attacks. What the hell do think you're doing?

Kasumi could not wait Death City was once theirs again. She then saw Herald about to hurt Mirai and growled."Do we get to fight this one Miles?"She asked, wondering.

Never Again...Herald growled angrily as Max interrupted his attacks. "Piss off," was all he told Max before he suddenly faded from view, reappearing on the other side of Mirai so that she would be between him and Max. The green energy swirled around Max and Mirai again, attacking them both as Herald shot out a clawed hand in an attempt to impale Mirai. Will I be bound in chains

He was able to get through Max's barrier fast enough for him not to notice, the proceeded to attack. Like hell you will... Blake dashed in, grabbed Mirai before Herald could pierce her into the ground, then kicked off before he got skewered. Enough, if you keep going I'll kill you. Michi's temper was rising up high towards Herald's display which he was close on killing Mirai. She was more surprise that Atticus didn't react though he was still grieving over the death of their father but he needs act up before she'll handle this in her own way.

You all have the option to go back to the camp to rest for now or stay here." she told them. She looked towards Mirai "Mirai, it would be a good idea to head back. Nurse Mortem should take a look at you and make sure you are doing alright." she told her.

Never Again...Emma's barrier held Herald in for several moments before his massive resonance force exploded out of it like an overflowing pressure cooker. He roared in anger as he tore past the others, heading straight for Mirai like a bullet. He raised his claws as he reached her, ready to tear her straight in two. Just as his claws descended towards her there was a flash of bright orange fire. Some men just want to see the world burn... Texas appeared in front of Mirai, the orange flames clashing with the bright green ones as they swirled around each other in a burning inferno. Although Texas had amazingly stopped Herald's attack in mid strike, he hadn't been able to avoid taking a serious amount of damage. In fact, from his torn clothing and already-present wounds, it would seem he had been doing some fighting on his own before he arrived. He glared at Herald, a serious expression on his face despite the injuries he had just sustained. "Don't hurt my Meister you jerk," He said angrily, the flames still whirling around the two of them. Meanwhile, Miles looked over at Kasumi, giving her a nod. "Yeah, we'll need to team up to bring him down." In a flash he and Eric were behind Herald and Miles spun Kasumi around, holding her out at arms length against Herald's throat. "That's enough," he told the beast angrily. Eric stood in the air above Herald, looking down at him. "Look, I'll help you beat down Mirai later Herald, but now's not really the time," he told him, his tone of voice not making it clear whether he was being sarcastic or not. "Just take a chill pill; leave it for now." And I just want to show them. Will I be bound in chains
