They had just come into direct contact with those monsters. Foras was prepared for them all to be slaughtered, but then nothing happened. Their was a figure in the front that held the army of corruption back. Ava led them all to the Auditorium where they locked themselves in. Mink stood guard for a while and they were all on edge, unable to think, bracing for an attack.
It didn't happen though and Ava had some time to think up a plan and he had time to actually recall the healing amulet in his pocket. He did plan on using his knife if he needed to defend himself, after all he didn't have an offensive amulet. "For the time being....I guess I should use this amulet and help where I can." He looked over Gany just to make double sure he hadn't been injured. "Do you think Ava could use some help? She's used a lot of her magic today as it is." He didn't know if it was something she could have help on, but it wouldn't hurt to offer. He wasn't good at all with magic though.
He started to search through the crowd for those who had been injured in the recent attacks. He noticed a dryad against the wall first. They looked like they were in pain, so Foras approached them with his amulet. "Hi there, my name's Foras and I got one of those healing amulets before. Lucky for us we don't actually have to have any magical ability to make them work." He held it out and was surprised that it activated with ease when he held it out to the Dryad.
"Well, do you feel at least a little better?" Foras was curious if it had actually worked. He'd never used an magical instrument before and even though Ava said it would work when they were in danger, he was still a bit of a skeptic.

Adalyn's head was feeling fuzzy as she was shuffled off with the others who were injured. She could hardly lift her head to check for Illya and Chervil. A heavy feeling settled into her chest. Perhaps it was best that she was far, far away from them. ... Well, as far as the current situation allowed.
It was getting harder for her to see, and her wounds felt so strange. Like they belonged to someone else. Perhaps they soon would, judging by the way the others who had been bitten acted.
She closed her eyes, giving up on catching sight of her friends. Her allies. Her thoughts flitted from one dark thing to another. They finally settled on hoping that if she turned, her allies would not hesitate in insuring she didn't harm anyone ...
Fat tears rolled down Niamh's cheek as she was herded away from Aedus. She certainly didn't feel well, but to put her with the others? She'd seen what they had become. But then, she couldn't deny that she had been bitten too. What if her fate was the same as theirs? What if she turned on Aeuds?
Her hands shot up to her mouth, trying to still her weakening sobs. The tiny Fey didn't feel good at all. She glanced at her ankle, where she'd be bitten. The wound had clearly begun to darken. Her chest heaved with more sobs.
How had this day gone so wrong?

((I'm assuming we just leave this on until it hits 5?)) I'm Injured!Username: Alamoraine NM/DD: ChervilCurrent HP: 1 Only a few minutes had passed before Chervil realized that he was glad Fio had stuck with him; the act of calmly stroking his thick, purple fur seemed to be all that kept him from dissolving into a panic that he felt had been too long in coming. He had done his best in keeping a cool head, both for the sake of the ones he had met so far and for himself, reminding himself that he could serve a purpose here; it wasn't exactly a magic-less apocalypse, but people weren't exactly getting on with their standard magic; it seemed as though nothing would completely stop these creatures from overtaking them. Was he destined to join their ranks in the end?
He felt his vision blur again, and he was just starting to tremble when he heard someone approaching him. He looked up to see a hybrid he hadn't met yet looking down at him and holding one of the amulets, which glowed a soft pink. He had a vague memory that the pink ones were meant for healing; he must have noticed that he had gotten struck by one of the infected. He was a bit confused; if they thought the amulets would help, why then were they not being used on the ones isolated to the corner? Did they think his and the others' injuries were fresh enough to be reversed? Why hadn't they tried them sooner, when Adalyn and the others were still conscious? So many questions, and nowhere near enough answers......
He willed himself to focus back to the matter at hand; he nodded thanks to Foras and did his best to hold still as the amulet was held out in front of him. He felt a warm and rather itchy sensation all along his back, and he fought the urge to reach back and scratch. He could feel the throbbing pain lessen a little, and as he shifted himself a little in his large sweater, he thought he could feel that there were fewer shreds of skin-bark getting snagged by the threads. He nodded and smiled at Foras. "It does feel better; thank you very much."

 Celedrin Hornwood
[ Arguing in the hall, on the way to the classrooms. ]
That was the last straw for Celedrin Hornwood. He was tired, beaten, and terrified out of his wits, yet this kirin had the gall to assume that all he needed was to calm down and enjoy a cool drink of water. Celedrin wished it were that simple.
“Are you out of your mind?!” Celedrin exploded through chattering teeth. He gestured emphatically with both arms and the knife blade zipped worryingly close to the Kirin's shoulder. “Are you blind? Or does your horn go right through your brain?!” His voice had pitched to ear-ringing levels. Its high tenor drew the attention of several of the infected.
“Look around you!” Celedrin continued. “We're trapped, surrounded by cannibals, probably going to die, and you think what I need is a glass of water?!” Had Celedrin had a glass of water in hand instead of a knife, he might have shattered it in his fist. Suddenly a laugh bubbled from his throat. He dabbed at a freshly formed tears with his free hand.
“On second thought, yes! That's exactly what I need. Someone please fetch me a glass of water before I'm ripped to shreds. Maybe a some braised carrots, stuffed mushrooms, and a dessert platter too, if it isn't too much trouble.” The stress had finally made him snap.

Aedus was pretty shocked when he saw the infected going towards some little naiad looking figure. He couldn't see much but he could see the tail pretty easily. Aedus didn't want Naimh to go to whoever the hell that person thought they were if they were a naiad was this whole mess a song effect somehow?? Aedus saw that Niamh was getting sicker his greatest fear right now was she would leave him and go to that strange figure. He should have protected her, he should have been the sick one. He was terrified when Ava said that not hurting the infected likely wouldn't be a choice. He held his amulet and knife could he strike Niamh to save himself?? "Excuse me Ava, but I have to know do these amulets have the power to kill?? I'm sorry but I don't think I have it in me to look into the face of someone I love and hurt them with the risk of killing them." Aedus said loudly

Coco was getting so sick and tired they had been trying to get to the cafeteria so they could lock themselves away, but Coco didn't think she had the strength to go on. She still had a sore arm and it seemed to be getting worse. Coco sat down next to the Science classroom she was breathing heavily. "Go on without me I don't think I can make it." She huffed leaning against the wall by the door to the classroom. "Protect yourselves get to the cafeteria." She said to Vanna and Eilwen. "Maybe you should go back to the auditorium with the others." Coco said softly. She was pretty sure at this point she was toast she would become an infected and game over no more painting, no more Calypso it was all over.

Eilwen looked back at Vanna as they were running and he suggested they go to the Cafeteria. She was about to say something about how insane it would be to lock themselves up in a freezer when they finally made it out of the bunker doors. That thought left her mind completely when she saw what they all passed when they left the bunker. That army of monsters was just standing there. Eilwen turned her head to watch them as they all ran the other way. She was in disbelief that they just stood there.
Kingston kept her moving though and eventually she turned back around. They didn't go to the auditorium and where on their way to the cafeteria when a wave of nausea over took her. Coco had also broken away from Kingston, probably not feeling well herself. "I'm...gonna be sick..." Eilwen broke away and threw open the door to the science room. There was the trash can, right next to the door. She barely had time to get her head over it before she was sick.
With that unpleasantness out of the way she slide down against the wall inside of the room and tried to catch her breathe. "Is there some way you can barricade...us....in here?" It wouldn't help to block the inside of the door, they would just tear it down if they turned. And those monsters were out there anyway. What would keep them from opening it from the other side?
"This is so hopeless...." Eilwen couldn't be brave anymore, she couldn't hold on to hope that somehow she wouldn't turn into one of those things. There wasn't anywhere they could go to escape them. They were just making their way across Below killing or turning whoever crossed their paths.

[Disobeyed Ava, in class rooms] While trying to get out of the bunker and following Ava to the auditorium Baum noticed that his phone was buzzing. He grabbed it out of his pocket making sure not to hurt Ms. Elf’s familiar and looked at his phone. He almost paused right in the middle of all the chaos and let out the most strangled groan ever. Was Vanna freaking insane? The older chimera had obviously lost his marbles some time in this commotion. This is what happened when you went out to café’s with trouble making demons. Baum had ended up meeting Vanna that day and even though Baum knew there was something off with the man, there was just almost a sense of charisma that almost drew you in at times. Suffice to say the two had been talking a lot and eventually when Baum mentioned learning how to fight, Vanna had offered and been teaching the boy. “FINE!!!!” was the angry text he typed back. Now he had to just dodge his way through the cafeteria and meet up with them. This was swell. Luckily it wasn’t too hard. Most of them looked like they had been injured. Since the group hadn’t changed yet they must have been part of the ones that had come back from finding the child. He slipped in the classroom with them not saying anything considering the atmosphere. Okay so maybe freezer wasn’t the best option. After all even if Eilwen and Vanna were chimera that still left Coco who wasn’t as prepared for freezer temperatures even if he did give her his coat. Besides the hallways as they ran had started to blur together and he was losing balance. It looked like this science classroom was the farthest they were going to go. “No coco. None of us are going to make it. We’re all feeling to sick. Eilwen is right in that we need to do whatever we want to do in here. Plus I do not abandon people just to make myself more comfortable” Vanna replied. “There is a sort of storage room for the microscopes and more lab oriented equipment that shuts and locks from this side of the room. Kingston could reinforce his side with the desks or something.” He made a brief note that Baum had joined them.
“However it’s not hopeless, wanting to keep your sense of self, wanting to hold on to your life and wanting to make sure that you don’t hurt your friends. It is never hopeless. Yes there is an extremely high and very likely chance we are going to turn into those things. However I tend to believe in people. I believe that sometime in the future we’ll be ourselves again. I believe some how they’ll find a way to stop this. If I had any thought that I would be stuck like that forever. I’ll believe in Kingston to value his friends and keep searching in a way to help us. I’ll even do everyone’s share of the believing. I’ve been through too much to have my sense of self end here.”

"Yihad," she began to tear up as she felt the nauseous over coming her, knowing that her fate would be the same as those who they had just run from. She was gonna become a monster, she was going to hurt Yihad ", You should of left me back there. I am going to be one of them soon enough, and when I do I won't be able to stop from hurting you. You of all people I don't want to hurt, and I am going to."She started to sob in hus arms, afraid of what was to become of her. Out of everyone here, if she were to hurt Yihad she could never live with herself ", When I finally become a monster, don't stay. Run, run as far away from me as possible. Maybe there is a way to save us even after we change over, but I won't be able to save you if-... if..."

"Somansh," hu held her close as she rambled on about how she felt, listening to her request. When she started to stutter near the end, hu pulled away and held her hands. Yihad didn't want to believe that Somansh would become a monster, but it was bound to happen. She had been bitten, and she was sure to join the others soon. There was just one thing hu wished to do before all this though, knowing hu might never get the chance to do so ever again ", I will do as you wish Somansh. Please try to remember this though, despite what happens I will still feel the same for you. I... I love you Somansh."There! Hu had finally told her how hu felt, and hus eyes were soon after filling with even more tears. This girl that hu loved was going to turn into something terrifying, and despite that hu would still be unable to break away from the fact that the monster that would be before hum would be the girl hu loved. Koiasi If you want to have her find Yihad then go right ahead! smile

Disobeyed and in a classroom with Chunli!
I'm Injured! Username: smolderingskies NM/DD: Ruby Boxer Current HP: 0 - Ruby ended up disobeying Ava, so she will not be healed.
Ruby slumped against a desk, panting, exhausted again. She had become a living rollercoaster of adrenaline and lack of adrenaline, going up in her moments of fear and down her in moments of peace. She watched as Chunli stacked chairs against the door, hoping to... keep them in, she guessed. It's not like they would be in any worse trouble if they got bit again. Her eyes were glued her search partner's wound, a growing spot of black on her neck, whirling in Ruby's own vision of increasing nausea and dizziness. Her own heartbeat was pounding in her ears, through which she could barely hear Chunli's words.
Royally ********. Yeah, heh, that sounded about right. Drowning in her illness, she wanted to say everything would be alright, put another comforting hand on Chunli. But she knew that phrase had wore thin a long time ago, and she'd just been speaking empty words. For just a moment, Ruby stared at Chunli. She tried to grapple with herself and her feelings. She wanted to be strong, no matter what happened tonight. But Ruby felt so small right now, as if she were shriveling into something she didn't recognize. She burst into tears.
"I don't know what to do, Chunli," she hiccupped through sobs. "I don't want to hurt anyone."

Disobeyed and in a Classroom w/ Rubyx x x Was... Was she crying? Chunli was hit with a mixed feeling of guilt and sympathy. Yeah, crying sounded really good right now. As a matter of fact, a few tears gathered at the edge of her eyes. Pain and nausea was making the world twist and turn, like someone was wringing out the universe of all color and semblence of shapes.
Ruby had tried so hard to be strong. Throughout the night the Fallen had been giving her comfort, telling her things would be okay. Now... Now it was Ruby's turn to need comfort. Moving, unfortunately, made everything so much worse. Chunli attempted to stand, but was bowled immediately back onto her behind. Mustering every inch of inner strength she crawled across the floor to the sobbing girl, all the while wishing she could sob herself. But Chunli knew if she started crying, what little resolve was there would fall apart.
Her struggle was completed by sitting heavily beside Ruby. "H-hey. It's okay." Chunli was panting, the world darkening around the edges. Stars swam in front of her eyes, blinding and numbing. Carefully she wrapped an arm around Ruby's shoulders and pulled her in close.
And then she started crying too. For everything. From pain. From nausea. From the inevitable change that would tear apart her personality, her soul. Hiccuping softly, she carefully rubbed away her tears with the back of her hand. "I'm here, Ruby. I'm not going to leave you."

Kiera had been just about to go full rage hunger on the group of students and staff.....when this sound, this beautiful sound cut through the fog in her mind like a clarion trumpet call of an angel.....and she turned, and she saw HER......her person.....really there! Her eyes were only for her person at first, she didnt realize there was more family behind the person, so focused was she on HER. As if in a daze Kiera walked daintily towards the woman who had whistled- the thoughts of hunger and anger in her brain briefly on pause. Approaching with all due reverence Kiera waited till there was a space and stepped towards HER. The lady reached out a hand and placed it gently on Kiera;s head, stroking down her silken luxurious hair for a moment. "Welcome Home" the woman said. "THE QUEEN:" blossomed like a message from Heaven in Kiera's mind, and she almost wept with joy at knowing her Royal Person, being touched by her, and meeting her , Kiera's anger soothed....but not the hunger. The need for food rushed back in as Kiera stepped aside to allow everyone to be greeted by the Queen. "Its time we fed you isn't it?" The Queen had spoken, and Kiera felt secure, completely so that this woman would take care of her, it was the home she needed.

She could barely see through her tears and fear, but when Ruby felt Chunli's arm wrap around her, she couldn't help but feel a little safer. Safe from what, Ruby wasn't sure, because last time she checked she was on the schedule to become a monster herself. But for someone who hadn't really had anyone to hold her close like this her entire life, the orphaned Fallen nestled deeper into Chunli's embrace, even as Chunli shook with her own sobs.
A sort of gratefulness warmed her chest at her search partner's words, and she nodded her head. Working her own arms around the Chimera's waist, Ruby murmured, "I won't leave you either. We're going to be okay." The sentiment still felt a little silly in the gravity of the situation, but it was better than nothing.

Arabelle had made up her mind to follow the Chimera and Fallen. She'd make sure to go for the Fallen first, make her pay for hitting Arabelle by having her assuage the hunger than rivaled the anger. Yeees, it would make her feel much better. She gained her feet back under her and gave chase again. A fierce, dark joy filled her when she saw they were splitting from the main group. That would make them easier to target. Then... A whistle pierced the darkness, a silver sound so sweet and compelling it made Arabelle skid to a halt. Her head whipped around in the direction of the sound and her world narrowed to a single figure. Her. It was the person from her dreams. How Arabelle knew with such certainty when she'd never even seen a solid figure didn't matter. It was just a soul-deep knowledge, a recognition that went beyond explanation. She found herself stumbling forward before she even decided to move. She could not fight the compulsion, and she didn't want to. She stopped in front of her, only vaguely aware of a Kirin at her side. The woman gently stroked the face of the Kirin, then moved in front of Arabelle. Her hand raised and lightly traced the skin of Arabelle's cheek, moving from the base of her ear and towards her chin. That gentle caress banished the dark cloud of anger within Arabelle like an eraser on a whiteboard. In that absence something new showed up. The Queen. This was the person before her, and Arabelle was both honored beyond words to be given attention from this great personage and so happy at the feeling of welcome inside of her that she nearly wept. The hunger remained though, and The Queen's next words only made the feeling spike. Yeees, she was very hungry...
