The soft gasp was heard but was quickly forgotten. His joy quickly turned to anger and then settled into shock and disbelief. "You are asking me to leave one of cubs here? I have just found that I am a father, that I have created...and you ask of me to leave one here?" Mika's eyes turned towards the Pridelands. "What would you do, Ling? What would you do if a lion asked you for a cub you never met, never knew about till that very moment, borne from the lioness you loved?"

Xiao, now an adult, paces back and forth. She misses her sister dearly. She feels lonely. All the other femmes are mating and having cubs, Xiao is left alone. She wondered if it was because she was shy, and not very out going.

Xia, seeing Xiao look sad and quite grown up blinked softly. "Hey, Xiao! Can you come over here for a moment?" The queen asked her with a soft and friendly smile with the cubs still nuzzling around her for warmth. And she was still sweet even though her mate went to fight someone again all though she hoped they didn't have to fight this time and they would work it out between them.
Pastel blushed slightly at Nuri's response to her. She hated feeling helpless and that showed as she lifted her head, standing tall and strong before him. "Nuri...I will be allright, Ling may very well need you. It is not far to the cave, and I give you my word that I will rest once there. Go please...help the king..." He moved close to him, licking his mouth before rubbing her body against his side. "I will be fine...I promise..."

Ling sighed and lowered his head. It was obvious that this male was not willing to make a peaceful decision on this matter. "I merely suggest options that would keep us from having to beat eachother senseless Mika'il" He thought on the others words for a long while, truly contemplating what it was that he would do. "If it kept the child safe...and the prides at peace...I would find a way to swallow my pride and do what the king requested of me. I am a diplomatic king, Mika'il. I do not concider myself reckless, but I will not be foolish and surrender an important member of my pride to you for nothing. If you can think of something that you are willing ot trade that is of equal value to you as Leanna is to me, I will make the trade without second thought."

It seemed Pandora had managed to remain unnoticed. She kept herself low anyway, vision blocked, but also keeping her own hide safe. She had heard of Ling's fight with another lion. She didn't want his claws to dig into her skin as well. Not that I doubt my own strength, but I'd rather not take the chance...
She found this entire situation ridiculous. Why was Leanna intent on leaving with this king? He would end up like all the others. She watched with narrowed eyes, working hard to keep her thoughts silent.

"Have you even asked Leanna of her thoughts on this matter?" Mika'il asked. "Considered how she might feel if one of hers were to be kept away from her?"
It was a unfair trade. There was nothing to him that was worth more then Leanna and the cubs she carried.

Ling took in a sharp breath, his body tense with frusteration. "I simply am tossing ideas out. You are the king Mika'il, your queen is concidered second to you, what you say will be done not her. If you will not leave me a child and will not trade me female for female, I see no other option for us...I see no point in fighting you, Mika'il, but I will not let you take Leanna without a fair trade."

"The cubs are hers as well as mine." The Desert King shook his mane. "The most I can offer is my land."

"Are you offering me your territory Mika'il?" he lifted a brow and waited for a response. Territory was second only to pride members to Ling, if he could gain territory he would be most pleased to say the least.

"There is a stretch of land along the west side of my Lands that you may have. The North Bank I need to seal my alliance with Rackna and provide safe travel for my mother's visits." He was not attached to the west bank of his Pridelands and would give it up. "The ruins as well has become home to my Pride, I cannot give that up."
That center of his territory was his home, and not only his but Kish'ya and Red's. No, he would not give up every bit of his lands but he would give some of it. "However, I live across the desert..."

Nuri smiled gently at the lioness. "Please, do not force me to repeat myself again. I intend to see you safely back to the cave. Until then, I will not leave your side." He planted his haunches firmly on the ground to emphasize his statement. "And besides, perhaps someone there knows more of what is going on..." Unfortunately, the longer Pastel argued or procrastinated, the longer it would take him to come to the king's aid. Assuming he needed it.

Pastel flashed Nuri a displeased glance but finally sighed and shook her head. "Fine, take me back to the cave. Anything if you will go and protect your king." She started to move forward in the direction of the cave. She did not need a stubborn male hounding her at this moment. She cared for Nuri, her heart told her that, but he was letting this get in the way of his job. "I thank you Nuri...truely...but this really is not needed." She looked over her shoulder at him making certain he was in fact following her.

Xiao was at attention in a moment. "Yes, Xia?" She padded up to her, inclining her head to show her respect. "Can I help you?"

"I just had an idea." She smiled at her as to not intimidate her or scare. "My mate has an adviser and I was thinking that why can't I have one too? Would you like to be my adviser, Xiao?" Xia cocked her head slightly. "Though you have plenty of room to refuse, my dear." the lioness said lightly with a purr to her voice.

"An....advisor?" Xiao smiled. "I... I would be honored.... though i'm no so sure I'm wise enough to take up the task..." Xiao blinked her green eyes. Could she do it? She wondered if she would be any use to her queen.
