What's sad is that I was told in the LJ Gay Community, more then 50% of them said yes.

As an employee of Hot Topic... The 'Goth' Store... I feel that I must reply to this in such a manner, it could be considered a verbal b***h slap. However... I do not believe this person who wrote this... I believe there is no such flyer... Because I go to church... And there are a few 'Goth' kids there... Of course, my church also believes that we should openly accept Homosexuals and 'Troubled People' (I.E. Drugies, Alcoholics, Prostitutes... Etc...) into our church... And even into our lives as friends... (Try to help the drugies and what not...) But that just means that my church is tolerant. NOT INSANE... I probably wouldn't go it were any less tolerant... -Frequently wears black clothing. Hello! Black is thinning, lots of people wear it. It attracts warmth as well. I tend to wear a lot during winter to absorb sunlight. And lets be frank... We don't all look just marvalous in neon green pants and matching crop tops... And white makes your a** look big...
-Wears band and/or rock t-shirts. What about wearing a Skillet t-shirt? They're a rock band... Oh wait... They sing about Jesus... Heh... (Though Stairway to Heaven, by Led Zep denounces Satan when played backwards... It's true! Hear it!)
-Wears excessive black eye makeup, lipstick or nailpolish. Ok, your kid is just a freak... Or likes dark make-up.
-Wears any odd, silver jewelry or symbols. Some of these include:
reversed crosses, pentagrams, pentacles, ankhs or various
other Satanic worshipping symbols. Your kid's a wanna be. Set them down and give them a REAL lesson in Satanism!
-Shows an interest in piercings or tattoos. I have five piercings and plan to get a tattoo... I also go to church... Just decorating 'God's Temple...'
-Listens to gothic or any other anti-social genres of
music. (Marilyn Manson claims to be the anti-Christ, and publicly speaks
against the Lord. Please discard any such albums IMMEDIATELY.) Disregard? As in... Do not take into consideration? Hell Eminem says he's gonna kill his wife and his mom... But we all know that isn't true. There's such a thing as a joke people... God... I AM THE ANTI-CHRIST! Am I really? No... But it's fun to say I am...
-Associates with other people that dress, act or speak
eccentrically. Don't old people dress, act, and speak eccentrically? It's called alsheimers... Sp? Oh no! Keep Molly away from Grandma!
-Shows a declining interest in wholesome activities, such
as: the Bible, prayer, church or sports. Dude... that's never fun
-Shows an increasing interest in death, vampires, magic,
the occult, witchcraft or anything else that involves Satan. Your kid is a loser... Like most of society... Your kid probably is in college too. You know... D&D, Everquest, Final Fantasy kinda person... And any other openly Satanic ritual games that involve selling your soul to Satan for some form of Demonic aide that will help them win the game...
-Takes drugs. Dude... I know drugies from my church
-Drinks alcohol. What about Jahova Witnesses!? My father's side of the family are Jahovas and they get drunk off their asses. What about biblical times when all they did was get drunk... Eh?
-Is suicidal and/or depressed. Maybe you should pay more attention to your kid than your bible studies you shitty a** parent.
-Cuts, burns or partakes in any other method of self-mutilation. (This is a Satanic ritual that uses pain to detract from the light of God and
His love. Please seek immediate attention for this at your local mental health center.) Again.... Pay attention to your ******** kid!
-Complains of boredom. OMG! I'm so BORED! As if there were an amusement park nextdoor...
-Sleeps too excessively or too little. So they're lazy... Or suffer from insomnia. It's probably their diet... What YOU cook them. Take them to the ******** doctor!
-Is excessively awake during the night. Take the insomniac to a ******** doctor!
-Dislikes sunlight or any other form of light. (This pertains to
vampires promoting the idea that His light is of no use.) Duh! Migrane!
-Demands an unusual amount of privacy. They gotta masterbate sometimes... Or maybe you just bug them.
-Spends large amounts of time alone. Being alone is fun... Plain and simple... You probably already leave them alone 24/7 anyways.
-Requests time alone and quietness. (This is so that your child may speak to evil sprits.) Some kids actually like to do homework in peace... WHO KNEW!?
-Insists on spending time with friends while unaccompanied by an adult. Hanky panky spanky franky! Or maybe they just got gossip to catch up on.
-Disregards authority figures; teachers, priests, nuns and
elders are but a few examples of this. Authority is so overated... Authority gets a tude... Get one back!
-Misbehaves at school. ADD man... Shouldn't have dropped that Acid in the 70's should you?
-Misbehaves at home. Again... That's YOUR fault
-Eats excessively or too little. Tape worm or anorexia... Or maybe it's the hereditary fat a** gene they got from you...
-Eats goth-related foods. Count Chocula cereal is an example of this. (COUNT CHOCULA CEREAL MEANS YOU COMMUNICATE WITH THE DEVIL ?) Dude! It's ******** cereal! OMG! I'm eating Lucky Charms! I'm turning IRISH!
-Drinks blood or expresses an interest in drinking blood.
(Vampires believe this is how to attain Satan. This act is very dangerous and should be stopped immediately.) Mmm... Aids in a bottle... Hope they didn't cut their mouth...
-Watches cable television or any other corrupted media
sources. (Ask your local church for proper programs that your child may watch.) Bush watches T.V.
-Plays videos games that contains violence or role-playing nature. Refer to College student comment...
-Uses the internet excessively and frequently makes time for the computer. Dude... It's a ******** computer! OMG! I knew Bill Gates was the true Anti-Christ!
-Makes Satanic symbols and/or violently shakes head to music. It's called death metal... And it is Dead... *gasp* DEATH!
-Dances to music in a provocative manner. Hey now! Brittney Spears got married in a church! Five times now...
-Is homosexual and/or bisexual. Actaully, that's something mental and would take too long to explain here... Especially to closeminded people. Let's just say they don't wake up, wanting to be hated by millions of people... Including the President
-Pursues dangerous cult religions. Such include: Satanism, Scientology, Philosophy, Paganism, Wicca, Hinduism and Buddhism. It's just a belief... And Wicca-ism has NOTHING to do with Satan. I know... I dabbled for a time...
-Wears pins, stickers or anything else that contains these various phrases: "I'm so gothic, I'm dead", "woe is me", "I'm a goth". Ok, they should just die... Or be killed... Seriously...
-Claims to be a goth. Again... They should be dead.
If five or more of these apply to your child, please intervene immediately. The gothic culture is dangerous and Satan thrives within it. If any of these problems persist, enlist your child into your local mental health center.
I for one totally agree with this! The Gothic subculture is evil and corrupts the minds and bodies of the young. I myself almost fell prey to this evil group, many of my friends have, but I luckily was saved. I urge everyone here not to hate Gothics but to pity them, they are in need of help, they must be saved from themselves and the vile persuasion of Evil. If there was a pill that could make you a heterosexual, would you take it? Me? Never. If I was, I would want to remain as I was. However, if there was such a pill, it would certainly bring a lot more debate into things. At first, I thought it would be better for the rednecks, who would want to force everyone to take it. But thinking it over more, it would actually be proof that it is biological, and therefore defeat their ever-so-beloved "People aren't born gay, they just become that way to get attention" argument.
