Kaleb frowned a bit. "B-but I have to be a nuisance, I can hardly get around on my own." Not only that, but he was distracting, and Riley got upset when Reno talked to him, and then Riley would probably feel like he had to take him home and care for him again...

He sighed and shook his head "Again. Yer not a nuisance." He reached across the table and tapped Kaleb's muzzle. "IF ya wanna stay here ya can stay here or ya can go to work with me"

"I-I'd really like to go with you," Kaleb said meekly, fidgeting and fussing with the sleeves of his pyjamas. If Riley insisted he wasn't a bother, he would believe him for now.

"Okay then. You let me go back to my place and get dressed then ya can meet me at the office?" That way Kaleb wouldn't have to walk around and he could keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't.

Kaleb smiled and nodded. "D-did you want to go back now?" he asked, fidgeting a bit. He could open up a portal right next to the couch, so Riley would be able to sit down when he got dizzy. If there was enough time he could take a shower and make sure he had the notes he would need for the day.

"Yea .. i gotta get a shower and get the apartment cleaned up." He rubbed his head slightly. "Should be at the office in a couple hours i think"

Kaleb looked at the clock and nodded, he would have plenty of time to get ready for the day. "I'll meet you there then," he said with a smile, and conjured up a portal that would take Riley back to his apartment.

He nodded and once in his apartment flopped down on the couch until he wasn't dizzy anymore. With his head back in order he got a shower and rummaged around until he found clean, though wrinkled, clothes to wear to work.
He got a shower and headed to work after a few hours. Tseng glared at his wrinkled clothes but he ignored it.

Once Riley had left, Kaleb took his time getting to his shower and getting dressed, and even had a bit of time to sit on the couch with ice on his ankle as he floated his books and notes around to pick out what he wanted. He had left his book in Riley's bedroom, but he simply grabbed a different pair before using a portal to get him to work.
By the time Riley stepped into the office, he was already curled up on a corner of the couch calmly scribbling notes down on a sheet of paper with a massive tome in his lap.

"...and the bricks get bigger." He shook his head as he walked over to his desk and flopped down. No wonder Kaleb learned to float stuff around with how heavy those books had to be. Even he'd have a problem carrying a stack of them.

"They aren't bricks," Kaleb muttered, without looking up from his notes. Although Riley might not get anything more from them than he would get from a brick, Kaleb found the books to be infinitely more useful than bricks.

"Bricks." He logged into his computer to see what he had to work on for the day. They were big and heavy so they were bricks. Or at least they were close enough to bricks for his mind.

"Hardly," Kaleb replied, making a copy of a large and complex diagram on a sheet of notepaper, and then making his own adjustments and additions. If he could get a decent day's work done, he would be much closer to finding the element behind that shield spell he had been working towards.

He snickered and printed out some of the reports he needed to finish. Digging out a pen he pulled the reports off the printer and started working on them while Kaleb worked on his notes.
