Not all wire snares get the neck though. Often an animal's leg can get caught. Then, as Free said, they either starve to death, get eaten by another animal, or have to be clubbed to death. I've seen a lot of it. I'm not a hunter myself, but I would go with my father quite often. I'll post a picture of the antlers from a moose he shot later. They're massive. Edit:

i did find a pic of a rabbit in a snare, but it was not dead, just injured. it later died from hypothermial and shock.

Wtf is wrong with hunting?
Personally, I don't hunt for trophies. I hunt for food. Just like humans have been doing for thousands of years.

iI'm with linkin on this, i hunt for food, not trophy(when i do go hunting that is) it's sure healthier than the crap you get at safeway or extra foods.

I woke up the other morning with two giant wild turkeys in my backyard and my first thought was
"Damn, if I hunted those we wouldn't have to pay for an easter turkey."
My neighbour said he would be more than happy to teach me.
I just sort of want to shoot the rifle...
Hunting is more humaine than letting animals grow up in cages just
to be slaughtered.
At least wild animals have got to be wild and free.
Maybe that's why they always seem to taste better?
