The manga for ANYTHING has more blood and violence... A great example being shaman king biggrin ... Did you know shamans originated in Africa?
Off topic remark, do the Japanese have an obsession with places and things that aren't their own? (I'm thinking of anime like yugioh [Egypt], Shaman King [African concept of the Shaman], Mario [Italian plumber of all things!]) THE LIST IS ENDLESS!!!
Back on topic though, It is a good series. My favorite character is spike head and Yoh, along with Ren ^^ that faust or sumthin or other is freaky, in a sad way, but cool too, with his zombie like wife spirit crying

Shaman King IS full of stereotypes...I learned that after watching an abridged episode.
