Carmine smiled a bit sadly at this news. So he had to go too then? It didn't really surprise her that much. No matter how strong he was Lucky was still a foal like her and that meant returning home every night. "Alright. I'll save a few for you." She said bowing her head to work her nose under the sacks strap. With a bit of struggling she got it over her head so that it sat around her neck. She didn't get how her father could possibly find it comfortable to carry these things. She straightened up and followed Lucky outside stretching her wings out getting ready to head off herself.
"I'll see ya sometime soon, kay Lucky?" She asked grinning at her friend before looking to the sky. She half expected to see her dad flying her way but no, the sky was empty except for the beautiful dyes that turned it many shades of pink and red. "It's like me an' you Lucky!" She said with a grin looking from the pink in her hair to the red marks on Lucky. "Oh...and here!" She pulled an apple out of the sack hanging around her neck and set it at the ground by Lucky's feet. "I know you aren't full after just one!"
She winked at him and then raced forward with a laugh spreading her wings wide. Giving them a few beats she took off into the sky wobbling slightly from the extra weight the fruit was giving her. "Bye Lucky!" She called over her shoulder as she steadied herself on the winds. Flapping her wings a few more times she flew off over the tree tops skimming the leaves on some of the taller ones. She would get a good handle on this flying thing one of these days.

"Don't go all piggin' out on them. I expect some to be left next time we hook up!" He looked to the sky once more with a grin. "Yep. They go good together just like us." Lucky stretched out his legs once more.
The colt nodded. "Of course! Well hafta go on some more adventures sometime soon. I had a lot of fun!" It was probably the most fun he had had in a while. Sure it was fun playin' with Memphis, but playin' with another foal not of blood always lead to new ideas and adventures. Picking up the apple in his mouth, he watched his friend take off. "Bmy-bmy!" He called after her around the apple as best he could. With a little flick of his tail, he turned and started to head for home.
Boy! Would he have a story for his family. Or maybe he'd keep it to himself, no point in getting his parents riled up. Ok, maybe he'd tell his brother. Just to make him jealous of his great adventures today.
