Kevin was comepletely taken aback by Maddy's reaction. For a second it undermined his defenses and he sighed as he spoke, unsure of what to do. "Ummmmmm... Are you ok...?" He watched her curl into the ball and a look of pity crossed his face. "Madeline?" It seemed improper to use her nickname then. Sitting on a large crate again, Kevin watched her hysterics and waited for an answer. His snake seemed to be enjoying her emotional breakdown and it came out of the shirt just to watch.

"MADELINE LET'S MAKE A FEW MEMORIES!" She said in a gruff male voice. "I hate that name.." he spat out as she unclured herself and leaned back, her head laying on Kevins knees. "Urgh...I'm sorry Kevin, I shouldn't have botherd you, it's jsut hard...Hard to know someones lying and not being able to pry the truth out of them. Hard not to leave someone alone that reminds you of your dead brother...yes Kevin, you do. And it's hard to be told something and then eb told you woulnd't get to know the rest.." She sighed and sat next to him on the creat. Dispite the fact the the snake didn't like her she gently rubbed the snake under it's chin. "Sorry..." She whisperd to both kevin and the snake.

Kevin shuddered as Maddy's head settled on his legs. "Oh... uhhhh. Yea, it's fine." His eyes widened as she talked about him and her brother, but he just sat there waiting to see if she would get up. "You know something...?" He looked at her suspiciously. "What do you know about me?" he asked, alarmed. The snake tried to bite her as she touched it, but Kevin stopped it, grabbing the snakes head and forcing it down into his shirt. "Now tell me what you know." The secrecy of the Hidden was much more important than the fact that his snake didn't like Maddy.

Lu smiled a crooked smile and stood up straight. He tilted his head slightly and grinned. "Yes you may help me." he exclaimed and took a seat were her legs had been. "I want to know...ummm" he had not really thought of what to ask her, only to ask for help. The only problem was he did not know the first thing about how he should try to life out of the shadows. "Uuuu.” he put a hand up to his mouth and glanced around. "How do you go about live here?" he came up with his question as best as he could and took out his pack of cigarettes. He offered them to her they were brand new and he had only used one.

[[Aw...Wanna share Squishy? =D]] Maddy sighed and chills ran down her spine, she moved away from Kevin, sliding across the crate a bit. "I don't know much. I know your not normal, I know thoes are your real eye's. Oh I know you can talk to your pet snake who seems to respond. Oh by the way you can let it bite me I diserve it." She sighed and held her hand out iviting the snake for a snack. "I know that your names Kevin, your hiding something, somethign about who you are and that your possibly gonna hurt the boy from the park. I don't know much else...Since you wont tell me anything. I know the boy in the park is agitated, well he seemed to be havign a nightmre when I walked over." Maddy shrugged lightly. "Again, not much else, your very close minded."

Glad that Maddy had moved away, Kevin relaxed slightly. "I realize that I am not normal, and fine. I will allow that these are my real eyes, I can see that you are firm on that." One of his eyebrows raised at her statement about being bitten. "How do you know that my eyes aren't a deformity? A product of surgery?" Sighing as the snake coiled around his chest, he was proud of it for ignoring her hand... Resisting the temptation. "Yes, my name is definitely Kevin." Shuddering as she talked about the boy in the park, he sighed. "You are much more observant than I gave you credit for... And you don't understand, even if there was something more to say, I cou- wouldn't."

[[YAY! - takes cup and pops a straw in..- Mmmm..Thanks Squishy.]] "It's easy, if you pull down the god damn hood Kevin, I can almost see the arters attached to your eye's there almost transparent. They look fresh and un harmed. " She smiled slightly and pulled back his hood. "They could pass as contacts but- oh thanks I think, and I'm not gonna forced you to tell me, although I really really want to know...Maddy pulled his eye's sockets down. "It's a dead give away. Besides the normal human has to change there contacts regularly. Or the lenses get scratched and your visson get's blury. I should know.." Maddy slipped out her contacts to reveal black eye's with a light shade of blue. She smiled half heartedly. "Your not the only one with wierd eye's. But mines from a berth defect. Yours is not.." Maddy sighed and stood up. "Oh and don't give me too little credit. When I want to know something I take the time and find it out. Even if it's no directly from the source. I bet if I asked the boy about you I'd get some information.." She sighed and sat back down. "But I wont, since it's clear you don't want him to know about you, just like you don't want me to know about you and you'd probably rather nto come in contact with him unless it's to do what you needed to do, just like with me..And since I'm postive you wont answer any qustions, I'm gonna go home, your welcome to join me if you'd like, but I highly doubt a yes will come from your lips.." She sighed and stood back up, heading for the entrance.

Kevin sighed as he realized that if Maddy did go to the boy, he would undoubtedly tell her about him. There was no way that the boy didn't know him, Kevin was famous for his ruthlessness. "You're giving me no choice," He complained as he stood up "and you don't want to know what I am anyways. If I tell you, you'll just run away, be deemed insane, and than thrust into a mental hospital." Pulling his hood down, he realized it didn't matter anymore, Maddy already knew about his eyes. "There... I took the stupid hood down, are you happy now?" He asked, frustrated. Kevin needed to satiate her curiosity about him... Just to make sure that she did not go to the boy. If the boy was alarmed of his presence... Kevin would have to follow him to yet another city.

"Yeah I know, lying is a skill of mine what can I say." Maddy smiled lightly and got behind Kevin pushing him forward. "I wasn't even planning on going to the boy, I told you i wouldn't I sware I wont, it meeans I wont, and if I do. I wouldn't be talking about you..He'd think I'm boy obssed and he'd think I'm your personal stocker." She rolled her eye's and shot him a glare. "Oh you think I'm easily scared. I'm not heading for the hills yet darling, so you best believe I don't care what you are, I do not scream and I do not run. Screamings annoying and runnign in combat boots is difficult." She smiled as she shmidy up the fire escape and hopped into her room. "Come on.." She hissed. "And if your snake doesn't like me, tell him he can go lay on my brothers grave or something. I apologize to your friend but there's not much I can do."

"Ugh..." Kevin said as she talked about her lying 'skills'. He refused to acyually 'talk' to the snake in front of her yet, Maddy didn't really know that he was able to talk to them. So instead, he pulled the snake out of his shirt and slowly layed it on one of the crates. Following her up the fire escape he jumped into her room. "Whoa..." He whispered as he looked around the room. Coming back to himself, he glared at Maddy for a moment. "OK, if you promise... no, swear not to go to the boy. I'll answer a few of your questions... maybe." Pulling off his jacket, he sighed again... He didn't like being in houses.

Edona twisted her body silghtly sideways to face the boy when he sat down beside her. She shaked her head politely when the boy offered her some cigarettes, "No thanks, I don't smoke." Hearing the boy's question, Edona smiled, "Well, I have been sleeping in this park for several nights in a row now, wondering around the town in the day. Life here is really boring for me, I must say." Except trying to hide from the hunters, that is, which is pretty exciting to last for a lifetime, she added silently in her mind. But it was not like she could blurt that out to every stranger she meet on the street.

Lu put a hand of her shoulder and caught her last thought. -She is a shadowling too?" - He thought exited. He smiled then glanced around. Seeing no one he leaned in closer to her. "Are hunters really that big of a deal?" he asked in a joking tone of voice. He knew that shoe would figure out what he was she was a bright girl and she might be of some help.

Maddy smiled at him, her eye's lighting up. She smiled and hugged him tightly blushign she pulled back, "sorry, comman reflex, if I hug you just hit me or something." She said as she rubbed the back of her neck, sitting cross legged on his bed she cocked her head to the side. "I highly doubt that maybe'll be a yes, but don't worry, your secrets safe with me." Maddy shrugged and leaned back, leaning on the wall. "What's so whoa?"

The snake, ashamed at his friend for leaving with the girl, sighed and relaxed on the crate. Beginning to feel afraid, it wanted to be with Kevin.
Kevin looked down in horror as maddy hugged him, and sighed with relief as she released him. "What was tha- Oh, ok..." He brushed himself off and sat on the windowsill, he didn't like the stuffy air that humans called Air conditioning. Much prefering the crisp, clean air of the countryside, Kevin sighed as he tasted the smog and pollutants in the city air. Frowning and looking at Maddy, he tried to relax as he waited for a question. "Ok, you've romised, now you can ask. I might not tell you the whole truth, though." He warned. "If any at all..." He added under his breath as he watched her sit on the bed.

Maddy smiled slightly. "Sorry, it's just a hug, I tend to be either deadly depressing or so happy I tend to hug people. Whoevers closeest feels my raft." Maddy rolled her eye's and sat down on the oppasit side of the window sill. "You know, you don't like it when I hug you right, and I could use that agains't you if you don't tell me the truth, and I'm sure you'd hate a kiss more then a hug.." She whisperd, a sly smile spreading across her lips.
