She nodded. “Let’s go, hopefully she’s just lost.” She glanced at him. Though it would be a good opportunity to see him fight, if he’s really as strong as he claims then I’ve found the ideal mate, she mused to herself. She started to walk towards the place she last saw the other mare. “Any idea where she was headed?”

He looked about. "No, I don't know of any of her little spots around here. She shouldn't be to far along." He nodded and headed towards the forest. "Normally she has a flower trail she leaves. I bet she's distracted caring for some dieing tulip or something."

She paused trying not to laugh. Flower trail, like a trail of breadcrumbs she wondered amused. She hurried to catch up to him. “She takes the well being of flowers very seriously if she’d risk her life to help one.” She looked around the forest. She stepped closer to him in hopes of staying out of the way of reaching branches. “I’m starting to see what you meant by unpractical,” she said unhappily as a breach just missed on of the fins on her tail.

"Told you." He smirked. "Stand behind me. If anything happens, scream." He eyed her, moving ahead and biting off branches that invaded the rough pathway. "She's vary caring. Always there for me when i was a brat. She was really happy whenever me or my brother was around. I think she waited a long time before she got us. Must have been killer. I have a feeling she waiting for me to settle down and have my own brats so she can dote on them as well. No idea if her or dad have plans to have more...wouldn't surprise me."

She continued to follow him keeping her eyes peeled for any out of place flowers. “If a tree tries to attack me I’m defiantly going to scream. I think anyone would think twice if a tree decided to make a grab for them,” she said jokingly trying to ignore the more determined branches. Moving a bit easier now that he had removed the biggest dangers she sighed in relief. "Isn't getting to dote on grandkids on of the perks of having kids?" Not having any grandparents herself she didn't know for sure but it's what she had heard.

He glanced back at her and rolled his eyes. Looking forward again he flicked his tail, thinking. "Perhaps. Not like i would know. Don't know my dad's mom really and as for mom's parents, she doesn't even remember them. "You get doted on by anyone?" he questioned. Stupid question, of course she did, she was a herd leader's daughter! He rolled his eyes at his own stupidity and tore another branch down.

“Not really unless you count my brother. Mother was born in a different herd and father was the last of his line until my brother and I were born. The other herd members didn’t like the fact that outsider spawn would inherit leadership of the herd.” She got a thoughtful look on her face. “Which would explain why the herd was starting to fall apart, though one would think they’d welcome new blood.” She growled as a branch caught in her braid. Tugging it out she threw it on the ground and stomped it into dust. "Stupid thing," she huffed.

Antirr blinked at the show of aggression before he started laughing. "Nice" he commented. "And is the Pearl alright?" He smirked. "Did the branch offend you?" Oh he couldn't help it, it was to perfect an opportunity.

She gave him a dirty look. “Do you have any idea how long it takes to braid a mane as long as mine and I can‘t exactly do it myself.” Her two-legger would spend hours braiding, making each strand as tight as possible so it would last for a long time. “Its wroth it in the end, I’d properly step on it all the time if it were loose and I'd hate to have to cut it.”

"I'm glad i have a short mane." He shook his head to emphasize it. "A long mane is useless for a stallion. To easy to be grabbed a hold of in battle, and, honestly, just makes you look silly." He nodded. "A long tail sucks to..." He glanced at his tail. "But, well nothing i can do about that." He shrugged. He paused. "She's close." He said simply.

"Depends on the soq, some can pull it off were others look ridicules." She slowed so as not to run into him. Coming to a stop next to him she looked around. Not seeing any signs of anyone but them she gave him a confused look.

He looked at her. "Say anything to shatter her views of me, to break her little perfect world, and i kill you, no ifs ands or buts. I don't want to kill you but i will." He said, his tone and expression rock hard. He turned and shook his head, his expression softening and he moved forward, towards a break in the trees. He paused before he entered. "Come on Undine."

His threat didn’t surprise her, the use of her name did. Smiling softly she whispered, “Don’t worry, nowhere on my agenda for today does it say tick off stallion.” She schooled her expression before following after him. Alright be pleasant and act like the lady you were raised to be, she told herself.

He rolled his eyes and entered a small clearing in the trees. Stopping, Antirr watched Undine follow him in before turning his gaze to his mother, standing nearby, busy collecting flowers and tearing out weeds. Just as he figured. He cleared his throat and held back a laugh as she jumped and turned. "Hello Mother." He smiled easily.Glow blinked, taking a moment to register her son and the unknown mare before her. "A...Antirr?" She spoke hesitantly, having not seen him in so long. "Y...Your back!" she let out an almost squeel of glee as she ran to him, flowers forgotten. "Oh Antirr, where have you been! You haven't visited in so long, and I've been so worried!" She stepped back. "Oh, forgive my rudness, you brought a new friend. Hello, my name is Glow Heart, though most everyone calls me Glow."

Coming to a stop next to Antirr, Undine stared is shock at Glow. She’s so chipper, was the first thing that entered her mind. Shaking herself she inclined her head in greeting. “I’m called Undine, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” She glanced at Antirr now seeing what he meant about being her world. She’d never seen someone so happy to see their son before.
