=History=This whole story of the twins, really hinges on what was lost to them. The artistic clan they came from, known as the forgotten herd of Bethmoreum.
This clan that used to govern over a pact made with Another Herd that was Known as Materialites that shared the territory. Materi for short. They were highly mutated and fond of clothing. They would keep to the objects left by the humans in area's while the others had the forests. Materi broke this pact, however killing off much of the forest life. The spirit of the land they relied on died and thus their clan died as well and was no more.
Nuada tried to stop this from happening.
He came tried to reclaim the glory of their people and expose the treachery of The Materi. It was his decision to unleash the Terrors at his beck and call, in order to force the other herla into action to fight against him. He planned to obliterate Materi for their betrayal.
He failed because he was thrawted by the hellboy crew and his own sister. Nuada still believes he was right in trying to eradicate the Materi. He feels further justified because the Materi have no respect for other living creatures and would instead prefer to beautify themselves.
Nuala and Nuada are all that remain of their once great Herla Clan. They are now Refugees.
