Personality Knowledgeable and smart. Cruel and heartless. Brutal, but produces efficient, effective results. Saren has little regard for life, as is apparent in his two rules: "Never kill someone without a reason. Always find a reason to kill someone." [Though of course...he can't exactly kill noodles, so he'll just rough them up. Be warned.] Also has a strong dislike for humans [or in this case, Earth-dwellers/noodles.] BioNOTE: His bio is spoiler-tastic. I warn you...if you plan on playing the game or hate spoilers, don't read it. = w=; Early life of this turian is mostly unknown; he, like any other turian, entered military life at 15 years old. He excelled in this and was promoted into active service after a year of training. Though it's presumed he fought in the First Contacts War [which happened two years after his promotion], it's not exactly outright stated, though he did lose his brother in it. Because of this, he developed speciesism towards humans.
Two years later, age twenty, Saren became the youngest turian to become a spectre. Swift and intelligent, Saren became known for his ruthless but effecient work. Despite possible disputes over his brutality, no one could deny the results he could produce. After six years of service, he was put in charge of overseeing David Anderson, a canididate to being the first human spectre. Already gathering a hatred for the human from the moment they met, the two completed the mission, though Saren reported the negative points of the mission as being the human's fault, making Anderson automatically rejected as a spectre.
But on this mission, Saren didn't just gain the satisfaction of knowing he managed to make sure a human didn't make it as a spectre. He gained valuable research on a strange artifcact located on an uncharted planet. After spending time prepping, he finally took a look at this artifact...Sovereign. The ancient reaper revealed the fate of many civilizations from eons ago. Instead of using Sovereign as a weapon like he planned, Saren decided he would prove organics' worth through servitude, believing it would be better than fighting this strong enemy until death. Though his intentions were for the better, his motives became slowly twisted into Sovereign's wishes as the reaper began to gradually 'brainwash' the turian. Saren became the reaper's agent.
Of course, Saren's plans and actions did not go without conflict. When a Prothean Beacon was unearthed on Eden Prime, Saren led the geth [an intelligent inorganic life form] to secure the beacon and destroy the planet to cover his tracks. His plan failed though, when the SSV Normandy responded to the stress call sent out more quickly then he thought. There, he encountered his friend and former apprentice, Nihlus Kryik, whom he killed [...or so he thought] on the spot and later discovered that Commander Shepard came into contact with the beacon.
When Shepeard and the crew discovered Saren was behind the attack on the colony, they reported the rogue activity to the Council, who brushed it aside, more trusting of their top spectre agent then the humans. Though clearly agitated by this, Shepeard investigated a little until discovering a quarian named Tali'Zorah nar Rayya who carried an audio file from a geth that proved Saren attacked Eden Prime. Even though his spectre status was revoked, Saren was too deep into his work to have his progress slowed. Accompanied by the lovely Matriarch Benezia, who attempted to guide him on the right path but too got brainwashed by Sovereign, he hunted for the Conduit while building his army of geth. He intended to supplement the geth with rachni, brought back to life from a queen egg found on a derelict ship, thanks to Saren's influence and investments in Binary Helix. A bonus from the Rachni Queen was the genetic knowledge of the Mu Relay's location, which Benezia forcibly extracted from the rachni's mind. Saren believed the Mu Relay would lead him to the Conduit.
Blah, blah... He also discovered the cure to the Krogran's genophage. Alongside the geth, Saren believed he would soon have an unstoppable army.
...But Saren gradually became paranoid at the possibilities of him being indoctrinated [aka, "brainwashed"] and began to preform experiments on the effects of Soverign on others. He discovered the more control Sovereign had, the less capable they became. Saren convinced himself that as long as he was a useful resource and find the Conduit for the Reaper, then he would be offered a reprieve in return. Nevertheless, he became paranoid, suspecting Sovereign was manipulating his thoughts.
After going from world to world, Shepeard finally found Saren. Saren attempted to recruit the human to his cause, though Shepeard told Saren he was becoming brainwashed so subtly he wouldn't notice it, though Saren denied these accusations and fled. These words though, played over in the turian's mind, slowly breeding doubt. Sovereign noticed the conviction begin to fade, so implanted Saren, making him cybernetic and completely devoted to the Reaper's cause. Saren thought of himself as 'the future'; a true cyborg. A fusion of both organics and technology, comprising "the strengths of both, weaknesses of niether."
Afterward, Saren ran into Shepeard again at Ilos, where the Conduit was at. Shepeard, though, was delayed by the *STUPID* Council, and so, Saren reached the surface first. The activated Conduit brought Saren and his army to the Citadel where they made a surprise assault. After killing the operators of Citadel Control, Saren made his way toward the Citadel's master control unit. He intended to transfer control of the Citadel to Sovereign to activate the latent mass relay, paving the way for the rest of the Reapers to enter through from dark space, but was interrupted when Shepard and the Ilos ground team rushed in.
Shepeard though, convinced Saren that, brainwashed or not, he could still stop Sovereign. Saren shoots himself in the head to prevent himself from opening the Citadel relay, but not before muttering, "Goodbye, Shepeard. Thank you." Though convinced he was dead, Shepeard and the crew were told otherwise when Sovereign reanimated the body through his implants, burning all of the turian's flesh away to reveal the extent of his cybernetic "upgrades". By controlling Saren's corpse and speaking in his voice, Sovereign made Saren fight one last battle. Shepeard and the team manage to destroy Saren.
Though through some strange events, Saren finds himself alive and completely free of Soverign's brainwash. Though trapped on the planet of his most hated species, Saren's atleast a bit satisfied at being able to move. Though... very angry at not being able to do the equivalence of anything. And angry that Nihlus is alive. And hates him. And that....everyone else hates him. And he can't get off this planet. Angry!Saren is angry.

Personality She is always wearing a smile and is kind to everyone she meets. Always optimistic and reasonable, Rhyme manages to keep everyone organized when she's around. Her young and pure heart is impossible to hate and gives her great love and loyalty. Bio Bio is essentially a spoiler about TWEWY.
When her brother Beat ran away from home, Rhyme soon followed. However, both siblings died when Beat tried to save her from being hit by a car and had to play the Game. Beat and Rhyme met up with Neku and Shiki on the second day of the 1st week. Though they planned to team up, Neku's asocial tendencies combined with Beat's competitive spirit kept both teams separated. Nevertheless, both sets of Players developed a close bond and agreed to assist each other. Later, on the third day, Rhyme and her brother completed the mission by erasing a small Noise that Neku and Shiki had missed due to being distracted by their conquest over another, stronger Noise. On the fourth day, though, the mission became far simpler- a simple movement to another area with no time limit. Unfortunately, the Reapers used the lowered guard of the players to lay a trap; Beat, while fooling around, was almost erased by a powerful, hidden shark Noise. Rhyme, in the ultimate act of love, pushed her brother out of the way and was erased in his stead, leaving only her favorite pendant. Her lingering Soul was bound to a pin by Sanae Hanekoma, from which her Noise could be summoned. This is obtainable. Her memories and love of Beat were stated to be Beat's Entry Fee, though Beat first assumed it was Rhyme's instead (which comes as a shock to him). She does recall that she had a brother and worries about him, but cannot connect this to her partner, whom she believes to be a kind stranger. This fact tore Beat apart inside and so he resolved himself to win the game and restore Rhyme's memories. She lived at the end of the Game and was seen with Beat, Neku, and Shiki. However, Mr. H's reports stated that since she technically lost the game, her entry fee was non-refundable, and so all of her previous dreams and ambitions were likely erased forever. Because Beat won, however, her memories and love for him were returned. Rejoining Beat at the world of Lucky Noodle, the two pretty much play around and wait for Neku and Shiki to catch up, I guess?
